Thank you for buying this JB Systems®product. To take full advantage of all possibilities and for your own
safety, please read these operating instructions very carefully before you start using this unit.
FEATURES
This unit is radio-interference suppressed. This product meets the requirements of the current European and
national guidelines. Conformity has been established and the relevant statements and documents have been
deposited by the manufacturer.
This device was designed to produce decorative effect lighting and is used in light show systems.
A fantastic 3-dimensional LED effect that can be installed by anybody, anywhere: just plug the 4,1m long
lightweight poly-carbonate LED string in any 230V wall socket to start the wonderful effect.
Very nice static and sound activated effects, including nice color fades etc.
Can be used in all kinds of venues, mobile applications or even outside (IP44):
Bars, restaurants: slow color fading effects to create a relaxed atmosphere
Clubs, discos, DJ: dynamic, sound activated chases to excite the crowd
Outdoor: perfect for garden parties, decoration for Christmas trees, streets, fairground attractions…
Modular setup for extreme flexibility: you can start with this basic “starter package” containing a sound
controller and 1 LED string with 12 RGB lamps, to end up with a huge LED curtain.
Just build the basic components together as you wish with these optional parts:
LS-RGB-CONTROL: basic pre-programmed sound controller for up to 12 RGB LED-bulbs
LS-RGB-STRING: String containing 4 RGB lamps, length = 0,72m
LS-POW ER-7A: extra 7A power supply for max. 116 lamps
LS-BUFFER: needed in front of a 3m extension cable and every 16 strings.
LS-CURTAIN-2M: cable with 8 T-branches to make an LED curtain, length = 2m
LS-EXTENSION-3M: 3m extension cable
BEFORE USE
Before you start using this unit, please check if there’s no transportation damage. Should there be any, do
not use the device and consult your dealer first.
Important: This device left our factory in perfect condition and well packaged. It is absolutely necessary
for the user to strictly follow the safety instructions and warnings in this user manual. Any damage caused
by mishandling is not subject to warranty. The dealer will not accept responsibility for any resulting defects
or problems caused by disregarding this user manual.
Keep this booklet in a safe place for future consultation. If you sell the fixture, be sure to add this user
manual.

SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS:
CAUTION
The lightning flash with arrowhead symbol within the equilateral triangle is intended to alert the
use or the presence of un-insulated “dangerous voltage” within the product’s enclosure that may
be of sufficient magnitude to constitute a risk of electric shock.
CAUTION: To reduce the risk of electric shock, do not
remove the top cover. No user-serviceable parts inside.
Refer servicing to qualified service personnel only.

The exclamation point within the equilateral triangle is intended to alert the user to the presence
of important operation and maintenance (servicing) instructions in the literature accompanying
this appliance.
This symbol means: indoor use only

The device is suitable for mounting on standard flammable surfaces. Standard flammable
surfaces include building materials such as wood and wood-based materials more than 2mm
thick.
To protect the environment, please try to recycle the packing material as much as possible.
Prevent use in dusty environments and clean the unit regularly.
Keep the unit away from children.
Inexperienced persons should not operate this device.
Maximum save ambient temperature is 40°C. Don’t use this unit at higher ambient temperatures.
Always unplug the unit when it is not used for a longer time.
The electrical installation should be carried out by qualified personal only, according to the regulations for
electrical and mechanical safety in your country.
Check that the available voltage is not higher than the one stated on the unit.
The power cord should always be in perfect condition. Switch the unit immediately off when the power cord
is squashed or damaged. It must be replaced by the manufacturer, its service agent or similarly qualified
persons in order to avoid a hazard.
Never let the power-cord come into contact with other cables!
In order to avoid a hazard, the unit shall only be used with the AC-adaptor delivered with it. If the AC-
adaptor is damaged, a same model adaptor shall be used only.
In order to prevent electric shock, do not open the cover. There are no user serviceable parts inside.
In the event of serious operating problems, stop using the fixture and contact your dealer immediately.
The housing and the lenses must be replaced if they are visibly damaged.
Please use the original packing when the device is to be transported.
Due to safety reasons it is prohibited to make unauthorized modifications to the unit.
Important: Don’t use the effect in the presence of persons suffering from epilepsy.
DESCRIPTION:
1. Mains connector: check if the mains voltage is not higher than 230V / 50Hz
2. Controller: the controller includes a power supply for max. 12 bulbs and 1 audio controlled + 15 static
programs.
3. Plastic cover: protects the program selector (5) from rain and dust.
4. Rubber seal: used to seal the program selector (5) completely from any possible moisture.
5. Program selector: used to select one of the 16 internal programs, see chapter how to use for more
information.
6. RGB LED-bulbs: contains multicolor LEDs, you can add up to 200pcs in one line (string)!
7. String connectors: special IP44-rated connectors, not available on the string of this RGB-starter set.
8. Fixing eye: can be used to clamp or stretch the string from the ceiling down etc.

INSTALATION INSTRUCTIONS
! IMPORTANT NOTICE ! NEVER disconnect any parts or make any change in the setup while the
installation is connected to the mains: some parts could be severely damaged!
THE SIMPLE WAY
If you only want to use the standard “plug & play” starter set, things are VERY simple: just build the elements
from this “LS-RGB-STARTER” starter kit together and connect the complete string to the mains. Installation
finished: no need to look any further!
THE SOPHISTICATED WAY
Based on the basic “LS-RGB-STARTER” set you can build a bigger system, just by adding the optionally
available accessories. For each of these accessories we give a description with possible applications:
LS-POWER-7A
The controller of the “starter set” can control strings with up to 200 LEDbulbs, however its internal power supply only supports up to 12 LED-bulbs.
This means that you should add an extra power supply, as soon as you add
extra strings. The LS-POWER-7A power supply can deliver power for up to
116 LED-bulbs. So every 116 LED-bulbs an extra LS-POWER-7A should
be inserted in the line.
The LS-POW ER-7A contains a special POWER-T, used to “inject” the extra
power into the line with strings. See the example below to learn how to
insert the LS-POW ER-7A:
LS-BUFFER
While adding extra strings, the quality of the control signal
degrades. Adding buffers helps upgrading the control signal
again! Buffers should be used in the following cases:
When one or more LS-EXTENSION-3M cables are used,
you should add a buffer before the extension cable(s).
You can connect up to max. 8 extension cables together. Never connect 2 buffers to each other, there
should always be at least one LS-RGB-STRING between 2 buffers.
After every 300 LED-bulbs in a line a buffer is needed.
When 16 stings are used. Practically this means that when two LS-CURTAIN-2M cables are
connected together in one line, a buffer should be inserted before you can connect another two LSCURTAIN-2M cables.
Attention: between 2 buffers at least 1 string should be added. So when 4 LS-CURTAIN-2M cables
are used to make a 8M long curtain, you should add an LS-RGB-STRING between the first two and
the second two LS-CURTAIN-2M cables.
LS-RGB-STRING
One LS-RGB-STRING contains 4 LED-bulbs and measures 0,72m. You can add one or more strings in
one line until a maximum of 200 LED-bulbs is reached. Of course you should add extra LS-POWER-7A
power supplies and LS-BUFFER signal buffers where needed!
LS-CURTAIN-2M
An LS-CURTAIN-2M is a 2m long cable containing 8 T-connectors, used to create
a nice LED-curtain.
You can add one or more of these cables in one horizontal line. Theoretically you
can connect up to 50 LS-RGB-STRING cables (200 LED-bulbs) to each of these 8
T-connectors. Of course you should add extra LS-POWER-7A power supplies and
LS-BUFFER signal buffers where needed!
The picture on the right gives you an idea of such a “curtain application”.
LS-EXTENSION-3M
This 3m long cable is used for bridging the distance between two elements in a
setup. For example: bridging the distance between the controller and the first
string. You can connect up to 8 extension cables together to obtain a maximum
length of 24m. Attention: while using 1 or more extension cables in a line, you
should always add a buffer before!
OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS
Once the starter set (or complete installation) is build, simply connect
the setup to the mains. The effect starts working immediately.
The controller contains 16 programs (15 static + 1 audio controlled)
that can be selected quite easily:
Unscrew the plastic cover (3) and remove the rubber seal (4)
Use a small screwdriver to turn the program selector switch (5)
GENTLY(!!!) in both directions until the desired program is selected:
0 Music chase: 9 different color changing patterns run in music
controlled mode.
1 Slow, synchronized color fades simultaneously on all lamps.
2 Slow, multicolor changes run as a train through all lamps.
3 Slow, rainbow color changes run as a train through all lamps.
4 Slow, multicolor fades run as a train through all lamps.
5 Fast running, color changing, train of 8 lamps with “trail effect”
6 Fast running and piling train of blue light runs through the string.
7 Color changing strings of lamps grow in both directions at medium speed.
8 Lamps chase at fast speed and change colors while hitting a each other.
9 A string of lamps change colors from the center to both sides at medium speed.
A Lamps come from both sides to the center and change colors while hitting each other at fast speed.
B Strings of 8 lamps move fast in both directions while bouncing 1 lamp out.
C Color changing effect runs through the string at medium speed.
D Combined show 1: slow patterns 1,2,3 and 4 are continuously repeated.
E Combined show 2: medium & fast patterns 5,6,7,8,9,A,B and C are continuously repeated.
F Combined show 3: all 12 patterns are continuously repeated.
Put the rubber seal (4) back in place and fasten the plastic cover (3) to assure the selector is well
protected against moisture and dust.
Some general notes:
Do not switch the unit on and off in short time intervals as this reduces the lamp life.
Always unplug the unit when it is not used for a longer time or before replacing the bulb or start servicing.
In the event of serious operating problems, stop using the fixture and contact your dealer immediately.
Important: Don’t use the effect in the presence of persons suffering from epilepsy.

MAINTENANCE
Switch off the unit and unplug the mains cable.
When an LED-bulb is visibly damaged due to cracks or deep scratches, it must be replaced.
The mains cables must be in impeccable condition and should be replaced immediately when even a
small problem is detected.
Clean with a soft cloth using normal glass cleaning products.
Always dry the parts carefully.
Clean the external optics at least once every 90 days.

Cet appareil a été conçu pour la production de jeux de lumières décoratifs et est utilisé dans des
spectacles lumineux.
Voici un effet à LED fantastique, à trois dimensions, et qui peut être installé n'importe où, par qui que ce
soit: il suffit de brancher la LED string (ultra légère et construite en polycarbonate) de 4,1m de long dans
n'importe quelle prise murale de 230 volts pour que ce splendide effet se mette en route.
Cela donne très beaux effets statiques ou activés par le son, dont notamment de jolis fondus de couleur,
etc.
Il peut être utilisé dans toutes sortes de spectacles, dans des situations itinérantes, et même à l'extérieur
(IP44):
Bars, restaurants: des effets de fondus de couleur créent une ambiance décontractée
Clubs, discothèques, prestations de DJ : effets dynamiques qui suivent le rythme de la sono afin de
mobiliser le public
A l'extérieur : parfait pour les garden parties, pour décorer les arbres à Noël, les rues, les attractions
foraines, etc …
Installation modulaire permettant une totale flexibilité: on peut commencer modestement, avec juste un
ensemble de base formé par un contrôleur pour le son et 1 LED string de 12 lampes RGB, puis arriver
progressivement à un imposant "rideau" de LED.
Il suffit pour cela d'assembler les composants de base de la manière dont on le désire:
LS-RGB-CONTROL: Contrôleur de base pour le son, préprogrammé, qui peut piloter jusqu'à 12
lampes LED RGB
LS-RGB-STRING: String qui contient 4 lampes RGB, longueur = 0,72m
LS-POW ER-7A: Bloc d'alimentation supplémentaire de 7A ampères, convient pour un maximum de
116 lampes
LS-BUFFER: nécessaire avant un câble d'extension de 3 mètres, ou tous les 16 strings.
LS-CURTAIN-2M: câble à 8 branches en forme de T afin de former un rideau de LED, d'une longueur
de 2 mètres
LS-EXTENSION-3M: câble d'extension de 3 mètres
