Beamz Installation: iOS
The Beamz contro ller communicates to t he following Apple co mpatible devices: iP ad 3rd
generation or l ater, all iPad Mini models , the iPhone 4S or later and t he iPod Touch 5th
generation or l ater, running iOS 6.0 or later v ia a Bluetooth conne ction.
1. Go to the Apple Ap p Store to download and in stall the Beamz appl ication on a
compatible Apple device.
• A Wi-Fi connection is neede d to download the Beamz application f rom the App Store.
2. Go to Setting s and turn on Bluetoot h on the Apple device.
• The Beamz controller includes a custom B luetooth adapter installed in the USB port on
the rear side of the controller. Other Blueto oth adapters are not supported.
3. Setup the B eamz controller on a at, stable surf ace and connect the US B cable.
• Insert the provided USB cable into the USB mini por t on the rear side of the product and
the large end into the USB wall adapter provided wi th the Apple device.
4. Open the Beam z application on th e compatible Apple dev ice.
• The Beamz logo on the produc t will ash as the product establishes the Blueto oth
connection with the Apple device.
• One compatible Apple device can comm unicate at a time; to switch devices, shut down
the Beamz application in your task bar.
5. After the app lication displays “B eamz Device Connect ed” in the upper lef t
corner, install the EHC Songs. Touch the SETTINGS button, then select Redeem
Code and enter:
6. Afte r the code is accepte d touch the PLAYLISTS but ton, then touch t he Beamz
Store icon. Scroll down to the EHC Songs and touch the DOWNLOAD button. A
conrmation box will notify when the download is complete.
7. Play the Beamz! Click on the Playlists button and choose a song from the Master Song List.
Beamz Installation: PC
1. Go to www.thebeamz.com/tobii-software and downlo ad the Beamz Player Tobii
Edition software. After the download is complete, extract the .zip folder then
run the Beamz Pl ayer Tobii Edition softwa re installation le .
2. Open the Beam z Player Tobii Edition soft ware from your deskt op, then click on
the Activate button and enter the activation code:
3. After the activation is completed follow the instructions to download and
install the Tobii Edition interactive songs from the web page www.thebeamz.
com/tobii/add-songs

other smaller end of the cable into the min i USB port on the back of the controller.
5. Play the Beamz! O pen the Beamz Player ap plication, then c lick on the
PLAYLISTS button and choose a song from the Master Song List.
Beamz Studio Software Installation: PC (Option al)
Beamz Studio is an interactive music editing and creation software. For more
information regarding this software, visit www.thebeamz.com/studio-tutorial.
1. Go to www.thebeamz.com/tobii-software-studio and downl oad the Beamz
Studio software. After the download is complete, install the Beamz Studio
software installation le.
2. Open the Beamz Studio software from your desktop, then enter the activation code:
Beamz Installation: Mac
The Beamz application and controller requires a MAC computer running
OS 10.8x or later.

3. Open the Beamz application. After the application displays “Beamz Device
Connected” in the upper left corner, install the EHC Songs. Click on the
Beamz menu in t he upper left hand cor ner of the menu bar, then sel ect
Preferences and click the Hardware Code button. When prompted, enter the
redemption code:
4. After the cod e is accepted click on t he arrow button in the l ower right corner
to select Playl ists. Then click on t he shopping bag icon to g o to the Beamz
Store. Scroll down to the EHC Songs and touch the DOWNLOAD button. A
conrmation box will notify when the download is complete.
5. Play the Beamz! C lick on the Playlists bu tton and choose a song f rom the
Master Song List.

MIDI/HID mode switch
The MIDI/HID switch on the back side of the Beamz controller must
be set to HID mode to operate with the Beamz Player software
application.
