recommendations and warnings. This is als o applicable t o all damages in whatever form.

Congratulations to the purchase of this Beamz product. Please read this manual thoroughly prior to using the product in order to
benefit fully from all features.

Read the manual prior to using the product. Follow the instructions in order not to invalidate the warranty. Take all precautions
to avoid fire and/or electrical shock. Repairs must only be carried out by a qualified technician in order to avoid electrical shock.
Keep the manual for future reference.

- Prior to using the product, please ask advice from a
specialist. When the unit is switched on for the first time,
some smell may occur. This is normal and will disappear
after a while.

- The unit contains voltage carrying parts. Therefore do
NOT open the housing.

- Do not place metal objects or pour liquids into the
product. This may cause electrical shock and
malfunction.

- Do not place the product near heat sources such as
radiators, etc. Do not place the unit on a vibrating
surface. Do not cover the ventilation holes.

- The product is not suitable for continuous use.

- Be careful with the mains lead and do not damage it. A
faulty or damaged mains lead can cause electrical sh oc k
and malfunction.

- When unplugging the product from a mains outlet,
always pull the plug, never the lead.

- Do not plug or unplug the unit with wet hands.

- If the plug and/or the mains lead are damaged, they
need to be replaced by a qualified technician.

- If the product is damaged to such an extent that internal
parts are visible, do NOT plug the unit into a mains outlet
and DO NOT switch the product on. Contact your dealer.
Do NOT connect the product to a rheostat or dimmer.

- To avoid fire and shock hazard, do not expose the
product to rain and moisture.

- All repairs should be carried out by a qualified technician
only.

- Connect the product to an earthed mains outlet (220­240Vac/50Hz) protected by a 10-16A fuse.

- During a thunderstorm or if the product will not be used
for a longer period of time, unplug it from the mains. The
rule is: Unplug it from the mains when not in use.

- If the product has not been used for a longer period of
time, condensation may occur. Let the unit reach room
temperature before you switch it on. Never use the
product in humid rooms or outdoors.

- During operation, the housing becomes very hot. Do not
touch it during operation and immediately after .

- To prevent accidents in companies, you must follow the
applicable guide lines and follow the instructions.

- Secure the product with an extra safety chain if the unit is
ceiling mount. Use a truss system with clamps. Make
sure nobody stands in the mounting area. Mount the
effect at least 50cm away from inflammable material and
leave at least 1 meter space on every side to ensure
sufficient cooling.

- This poduct contains high intensity LEDs. Do not look
into the LED light to prevent damage to your eyes.

- Do not repeatedly switch the product on and off. This
shortens the life time.

- Keep the unit out of the reach of children. Do not leave
the unit unattended.

- Do not use cleaning sprays to clean switches. The
residues of these sprays cause deposits of dust and
grease. In case of malfunction, always seek advice from
a specialist.

- Only operate the product with clean hands.

- Do not force the controls.

- If the product has fallen, always have it checked by a
qualified technician before you switch the product on
again.

- Do not use chemicals to clean the unit. They damage the
varnish. Only clean the product with a dry cloth.

- Keep away from electronic equipment that may cause
interference.

- Only use original spares for repairs, otherwise serious
damage and/or dangerous radiation may occur.

- Switch the product off prior to unplugging it from the
mains and/or other equipment. Unplug all leads and
cables prior to moving the product.

- Make sure that the mains lead cannot be damaged when
people walk on it. Check the mains lead before every use
for damages and faults!

- The mains voltage is 220-240Vac/50Hz. Check if power
outlet match. If you travel, make sure that the mains
voltage of the country is suitable for this product.

- Keep the original packing material so that you can
transport the product in safe conditions

POWERSUPPLY

On the label on the backside of the product is indicated on this type of power supply must be connected. Check that the mains
voltage corresponds to this, all other voltages than specified, the light effect can be irreparably damaged. The product must also
be directly connected to the mains and may be used. No dimmer or adjustable power supply.

Always connect the device to a protected circuit (circuit breaker or fuse). Make sure the device has an appropriate
electrical ground to avoid the risk of electrocution or fire.

INSTALLATION

Attention:

• The installation of the product has to be built and constructed in a way that it can hold 10 times the weight for 1 hour
without any harming deformation.

• The installation must always be secured with a secondary safety attachment, e.g. an appropriate catch net. This
secondary safety attachment must be constructed in a way that no part of the installation can fall down if the main
attachment fails.

• Make sure the area below the installation place is free from unwanted persons during rigging, de-rigging and servicing.

• The operator has to make sure that safety-relating and machine-technical installations are approved by an expert

before taking into operation for the first time and after changes before taking into operation another time.

• The fixture should be installed in the position where persons cannot reach and where persons may walk by or be

The control board offer several features: you can simple set the starting
address, run the pre-programmed program or make a reset. The main menu is
accessed by pressing the Mode-button, browse through the submenu by
pressing Up or Down.

Press the Enter-button in order to select the desired menu.
You can change the selection by pressing Up or Down. Confirm every selection

by pressing the Enter-button.

You can leave every mode by pressing the Mode-button. The functions
provided are described later in this manual.

DMX-512 CONNECTION

If you are using a standard DMX controller, you can connect the DMX output of the controller directly to the DMX input of the
first unit in a DMX chain. Always connect the output of one unit with the input of the next unit until all units are connected.

5-pin XLR DMX Connectors.
Some manufactures use 5-pin DMX-512 data cables for DATA transmission in place of 3-pin. 5-pin DMX fixtures may be
implemented in a 3-pin DMX line. When inserting standard 5-pin data cables in to a 3-pin line a cable adaptor must be used.
The chart below details a proper cable conversion.

At the last fixture, the DMX cable has to be terminated. Solder a 120 Ohm resistor between signal (-) and signal (+) into a 3-pin
XLR connector and plug this into the DMX output of the last fixture in the chain.

SYSTEM MENU

ADDR - DMX Address Setting.

1. Press the either the MENU, UP, or DOWN buttons until “ADDR”
is displayed, press ENTER.

2. The current address will now be displayed and flashing. Press the
UP or DOWN buttons to find your desired address. Press ENTER to
set your desired DMX address.

CHND - This will let select your desired DMX channel
mode.

1. Press the MENU button until “CHND” is displayed, press ENTER.
The current DMX channel mode will be displayed

1. Press the MENU button until “SLND” is displayed, press ENTER. Either
“MAST”, “SL 1”, or “SL 2” will be displayed.

2. Press the UP or DOWN buttons until your desired setting is displayed, press
ENTER to confirm.

NOTE: In a Master/Slave configuration you can set one fixture to Master and
then set the next fixture to “SL 2”, the fixtures will now have contrast movement
to each other.

SHND - Show modes 0-8 (Factory programs). Show mode can run with or
without sound active mode active.

1. Press the MENU button until “SHND” is displayed, press ENTER.

2. “Sh X” will now be displayed, “X” representing a number between 0-8. Use the UP or
DOWN buttons to find your desired show.

3. When you have found your desired show press ENTER, then press and hold the
MENU button for at least 3 seconds to activate. After you have set your desired show, it
can be changed at any time using the UP or DOWN buttons

SOUN - Sound Active mode.

1. Press the MENU button until “SOUN” is displayed, press ENTER.

2. The display will show either “ON” or “OFF”. Press the UP or DOWN buttons to select
“ON” to activate sound active mode, or “OFF” to deactivate sound active mode.

3. Press ENTER to confirm.

SENS - In this mode you can adjust the sound sensitivity.

1. Press the MENU button until “SENS” is displayed, press ENTER.

2. A number between 0-100 will be displayed. Press the UP or DOWN buttons to adjust
the sound sensitivity. 0 being the least sensitive, and 100 being the most sensitive.

3. When you have found your desired setting press ENTER to confirm.

DNST - This mode can be used as a precaution mode, that in case the
DMX signal is lost, interrupted, or power is lost, the operating mode
chosen in the setup is the running mode the fixture will go into when the

DMX signal is lost. You can also set this as the operating mode you would
like the unit to return to when power is applied.

1. Press the MENU button until “DNST” is displayed, and either “MASL”, “BLND”, or
“LAST” will be displayed beneath.

2. Press ENTER and the bottom choice will begin to flash. Use the UP or DOWN buttons
to choose an operating mode you would like the unit to start up in when power is applied
or the DMX signal is lost.

• LAST - If the DMX signal is lost the fixture will stay in the last DMX setting. If power is
applied and this mode is set, the unit will automatically go into the last DMX set up.

• MASL (Master Slave) - If the DMX signal is lost or power is applied, the unit will
automatically go into Master Slave mode and run a built-in show.

• BLND (Blackout) - If the DMX signal is lost or interrupted, the unit will automatically go
into standby mode.

3. Press ENTER to confirm your desired set up.

DIND - This will let select your desired dimmer curve.

1. Press the either the MENU button until “DIND” is displayed, press ENTER. 1 of 5
dimmer curves will be displayed. “STDA” (standard), “STGE” (stage), “TV” (TV), “ARAL”
(theatrical), or “THAL” (Architectural).

2. Press the UP or DOWN buttons to find your desired dimmer curve and press ENTER
to confirm and exit.

1. Press the MENU button until “TILT” is displayed, press ENTER. Either “Yes” or “No”
will be displayed.

2. To activate the tilt inversion press the UP or DOWN buttons until “Yes” is displayed,
press ENTER to confirm. To deactivate tilt inversion, select “No” and press Enter

LED - With this function you can have the LED display turn off after 10
seconds.

1. Press the MENU button until “LED” is displayed, press ENTER.

2. The display will show either “ON” or “OFF”. Press the UP or DOWN buttons to select
“ON” to keep the LED display on at all times, or “OFF” to switch to have the LED display
switch off after 10 seconds.

DISP - This function will reverse the display 180º.

1. Press the MENU button until “DISP” is displayed, press ENTER.

2. Press ENTER to “flip” the display. Press ENTER to “flip” it again.

3. To make you LED display reappear again press any button

TEST - This function will run a self-test program.

1. Press the MENU button until “TEST” is displayed, press ENTER.

2. The fixture will now run a self-test.

FHRS - With this function you can display the running time of the unit.

1. Press the MENU button until “FHRS” is displayed, press ENTER.

2. The running time of the fixture will now be displayed. Press MENU to exit.

VER - Use this function to display the Software version of the unit.

1. Press the either the MENU button until “VER” is displayed, press ENTER.

2. The display will show the software version.

RSET - This function will reset the unit.

1. Press the MENU button until “RSET” is displayed. Press the ENTER button and the unit will reset itself.

OFFSET SUBMENU

To enter the Offset Menu, press the ENTER button for at least 3 seconds. In this submenu you are able to adjust the home
positions of the tilt motor positions.

Tilt Offset - Adjustment of the tilt home position for any of the 2 bars.

1. Press the ENTER button for at least 3 seconds, then press the UP or DOWN buttons so that either “Til 1” or “Til 2” is
displayed, and press ENTER.

2. Use the UP and DOWN buttons to make your adjustments, and then press ENTER to confirm. Press the MENU button for
one second to exit.

OPERATION

The Double Helix can operate in three different modes. In each mode you can run the fixture as a standalone fix t ure or in a
master/slave configuration. This next section will detail the differences in the operating modes.

Universal DMX Control:

This function allows you to use a universal DMX-512 controller to control the chases and patterns, dimmer and strobe. A DMX
controller allows you to create unique programs tailored to your individual needs.

1. The Double Helix has 6 DMX Channel modes; 2 Channels, 9 Channels, 11 Channels, 12 Channels 16 Channels or 18
Channels.

2. Use the controller’s faders to control the various DMX fixture traits. This will allow you to create your own programs.

3. For longer cable runs (more than a 100 feet) use a terminator on the last fixture.

4. For help operating in DMX mode consult the manual included with your DMX controller.

Sound Active Mode:

This mode allows either single unit or several units linked together, to run to the beat of the music.

1. Press the MENU button until “SOUN” is displayed, and press ENTER.

2. Press the UP or DOWN button so that “ON” is displayed. The unit will now run to the beat of the music.

3. The sound sensitivity can be adjusted by pressing the MENU button until “SENS” is displayed, and then press ENTER. Use
the UP or DOWN buttons to adjust the sound sensitivity, 1 being the least sensitive, and 100 being the most sensitive.

Show Mode:

In this mode you can choose 1 of 3 show modes to run.

1. Press the MENU button until “SHND” is displayed, and press ENTER.

2. Press the UP or DOWN buttons until you find your desired show, and press ENTER then press and hold MENU for 3 seconds
to confirm.

MASTER/SLAVE OPERATION

This function will allow you to link up to 16 units together and operate without a controller. In a Master-Slave set up one unit will
act as the controlling unit and the others will react to the controlling unit’s programs. Any unit can act as a Master or as a Slave.

1. Using approved DMX data cables, daisy chain your units together via the XLR connector on the rear of the units. Remember
the Male XLR connector is the input and the Female XLR connector is the output. The first unit in the chain (master) will use the
female XLR connector only - The last unit in the chain will use the male XLR connector only. For longer cable runs we suggest a
terminator at the last fixture.

2. For the Master unit press the MENU button until “SLND” is displayed, and press ENTER. Set the unit to “MAST” and press
ENTER.

3. Next set the Master to your desired operating mode.

4. For the slave units press the MENU button until “SLND” is displayed, and Press ENTER. Set the slave units to either “SL 1”
or “SL 2”. 5. The slave units will now follow the Master unit.

POWER CORD DA ISY CHA IN

With this feature you can connect the fixtures to one another using the IEC input and output sockets. The quantity that can be
connected is 8 fixtures maximum for 240V. After the maximum fixtures has been reached you will need to use a new power
outlet. They must be the same fixtures. DO NOT mix fixtures.

IR REMOTE

The IR infrared remote gives you control of various functions. To control the fixture, you must aim
the remote at the front of the fixture and be no more then 30 feet away.

Black out - Pressing this button will blackout the fixture.
Manual – Auto play.
FADE/GOBO - This button is invalid for this fixture.
“DIMMER +” and “DIM MER -” - These buttons are used to adjust the output intensity.
STROBE - Press and hold this button for random strobing. Press the button to activate sound

active strobing.

SOUND ON & OFF - These buttons activate and deactivate the sound active mode.
SHOW - This activates the show mode. Press the Show button to activate random show mode, or

use buttons 1-2 to select a preset show.

REPLACING THE FUSE

If the fuse is defective, replace the fuse with a fuse of the same type and value. Before replacing the fuse, unplug mains lead.
Procedure:

Step 1: Open the fuse holder on the rear panel with a fitting screwdriver.
Step 2: Remove the old fuse from the fuse holder.
Step 3: Install the new fuse in the fuse holder.
Step 4: Replace the fuse holder in the housing.

FIXTURE CLEANING

The cleaning of internal and exter nal optical lense s and/or m irror s must be carr ied out periodically to optimize light output.
Cleaning frequency depends on the environment in which the fixture operates: damp, smoky or particularly dirty surrounding
can cause greater accumulation of dirt on the unit’s optics.

• Make sure the area below the installation place is free from unwanted persons during servicing

• Housings, fixations and installations spots (ceiling, truss, suspensions) should be totally free from any deformation

• The mains cables must be in impeccable condition and should be replaced immediately when even a small problem is

detected

• In order to protect the fixture from overheat the cooling fans (if any) and ventilation openings should be cleaned
monthly.

• The interior of the fixture should be cleaned annually using a vacuum cleaner or air-jet.

• Clean with soft cloth using normal glass cleaning fluid.

• Always dry the parts carefully.

• Clean the external optics at least every month. Clean the internal optics at least every 30/60 days.

ATTENTION: We strongly recommend internal cleaning to be carried out by qualified worker!

voorkomen.

- Voordat het apparaat in werki ng w ordt gesteld, alt ijd eerst een
deskundige raadplegen. Bij het voor de eerste keer inschakelen
kan een bepaalde reuk optreden. Dit is nor m aal en verdwijnt na
een poos.

- Plaats geen metalen objecten en mors geen vloeistof i n het
effect. Dit kan leiden tot elektrische schokken of defec ten.

apparaat niet bloot te stellen aan regen of vocht.

- Verwijder of plaats een stek ker nooit met natte handen resp. uit
en in het stopcontact.

- Indien zowel de stekker en/of netsnoer als snoeringang in het
apparaat beschadigd zijn dient dit door een vakman hersteld te
worden.

- Indien het a pparaat zo beschadigd is dat inwendige (onder)delen
zichtbaar zijn mag de stekker NOOIT in het stopcontact worden
geplaatst en het apparaat NOOIT worden ingeschakeld. Neem in
dit geval contact op m et de dealer.

- Sluit het apparaat nooit op een dimmer aan.

- Reparatie aan het apparaat dient te geschieden door ee n
vakman of een deskundige.

- Sluit het apparaat alleen aan op een 220-240VAC / 50Hz
(geaard) stopcontact, verbonden met een 10-16A
meterkastgroep.

- Bij onweer altijd de stekk er uit het stopcontact halen, zo ook
wanneer het appara at voor een langere tijd niet gebruikt wordt.
Stelregel: Bij ge en gebruik stekker verwijderen.

- Als u het apparaat lang niet gebruikt heeft en het weer wil
gebruiken kan er condens ontstaan; laat het apparaat eerst op

- Apparaat nooit in vochtige ruim ten en buiten gebruiken.

- De behuizing wordt zeer warm, r aak deze dan ook niet aan bij
gebruik en direct na gebruik..

- Om ongevallen in bedrijven te voorkomen moet rekenin g

moeten de aanwijzi ngen/waarschuwingen worden gevolgd.

- Zorg voor een extra veiligheidsketting als het product op
hoogte wordt gehan gen. Gebruik een truss-systeem met
montagehaak. Ga nooit onder het product staan bij ophanging.
Monteer minimaal 50 cm van brandbare objecten en laat
tenminste 1meter vrij aan weerszijden voor een deugdelijk e
ventilatie.

UITPAKKEN

LET OP: Bij de installatie van het apparaat mag geen ontvlambaar materiaal

LET OP! Onmiddellijk na ontvangst, zorgvuldig uitpakken van de doos, controleer de inhoud om ervoor te zorgen dat alle

onderdelen aanwezig zijn en zijn in goede staat zijn ontvangen. Bij transportschade of ontbreken van onderdelen onmiddellijk
de verkopende partij inlichten. Bewaar de verpakking en het verpakkingsmateriaal. Indien het product moet worden
teruggestuurd, is het belangrijk dat het product in originele verpakking wordt geretourneerd.

Als het apparaat is blootgesteld aan drastische temperatuurverschillen (bv. na het transport), schakel het apparaat niet
onmiddellijk in. De ontstane condensatie kan het apparaat beschadigen. Zorg ervoor dat het apparaat op kamertemperatuur
komt en steek vervolgens de voeding stekker in het stopcontact/wandcontactdoos.

AANSLUITSPANNING

Op het label aan de achterzijde van het product staat aangegeven op welke netspanning deze moet worden aangesloten.
Controleer of de netspanning hiermee overeenkomt, bij alle andere netspanningen dan aangegeven kan het apparaat
onherstelbaar worden beschadigd. Tevens moet het apparaat direct op de netspanning w orden aange sl oten en mag géé n
dimmer of regelbare voed ing worden gebruikt.

Sluit het apparaat altijd aan op een beschermd circuit (aardlekschakelaar of zekering). Zorg ervoor dat het apparaat
voldoende elektrisch is geaard om het risico op elektrocutie of brand te vermijden.

INSTALLATIE

• De constructie van de ophanging dient zo te zijn dat deze 10 keer het gewicht per uur van het product kan dragen.

• Gebruik altijd de meegeleverde bev est igingsbeugel om het product op te hangen.

• Het product dient m.b.v. een montage kle m (niet mee geleverd) aan de meegeleverde bevestigingsbeugel te worden

bevestigd.

• Het product moet altijd worden gezekerd d.m.v. veiligheidskabel.

• Zorg ervoor dat geen enkel individu tijdens installatie, reparatie enz. onder het product staat of door kan lopen.

• De gebruiker is verantwoordelijk voor het product, de installatie en de veiligheid van het geheel. Is deze daartoe niet in

staat dient altijd een externe deskundige in de arm genomen te worden die het geheel controleert en de
verantwoordelijkheid op zich neemt.

• De gebruiker dient minstens e ens per jaar het product en de installatie te laten controleren, op veiligheid, technische
werking enz., door een externe deskundig e.

Het bedieningspaneel biedt verschillende mogelijkheden zoals: eenvoudige
invoeren van het startadres, voorgeprogrammeerde programma selecteren
of een reset. Het hoofdmenu wordt geopend door op de Mode-toets, blader
door het submenu door Up of Down-toets.

Druk op de Enter-toets om het gewenste menu te selecteren.
U kunt de selectie wijzigen door te drukken op de Up of Down-toets.

Bevestig elke keuze door te drukken op de Enter-toets.
Je kunt elke modus verlaten door op de Mode -toets. De functies worden

verderop in de handleiding beschreven.

DMX-512 AANSLUITEN

Als u gebruik maakt van een standaard DMX-lichtstuurtafel, kunt u de DMX uitgang van de stuurtafel rechtstreeks aansluiten op
de DMX ingang van het eerste DMX apparaat. Sluit altijd de DMX uitgang aan op de eerst volgende DMX ingang van het
volgende apparaat totdat alle apparaten zijn aangesloten.

5-polige XLR connector.
Sommige fabrikanten gebruik e n 5-polige DMX kabels voor DATA transmissie in plaats van 3-pin. 5-polige DMX armaturen kan
in een 3-polige DMX lijn worden uitgevoerd. Bij het plaatsen van standard 5-polige datakabels in een 3-polige DMX lijn, moet er
een verloop worden gebruikt. Onderstaande tabel geeft de details voor de juiste kabelconversie .

Opgelet bij het laatste apparaat, dient u de DMX-lijn af te sluiten met een eindweerstand. Soldeer een 120 Ohm weerstand tussen
signaal (-) en signaal (+) in een 3-polige XLR connector en steek deze in de DMX uitgang van het laatste apparaat in de lijn.

SYSTEEMMENU

ADDR - DMX adressering

1. Druk zo vaak op de MENU toets totdat “ADDR” in het display
verschijnt. Druk vervolgens op de ENTER toets.

2. Het ingestelde adres wordt nu knipperend in het display
weergegeven. Druk op de UP of DOWN toets om het gewenste adres
te vinden en druk op ENTER ter bevestiging. Hou de MENU toets
gedurende tenminste 3 seconden ingedrukt om het adres in te stellen

CHND - Met deze functie wordt de kanaal modus
geselecteerd.

1. Druk zo vaak op de MENU toets totdat “CHND” in het display
verschijnt. Druk op ENTER.

2. De actuele kanaalmodus wordt in het display weergegeven. Gebruik

Master of Slave te laten functioneren in een Master/Slave
configuratie.

1. Druk zo vaak op de MENU toets totdat “SLND” in het display verschijnt en
druk op ENTER. In het display verschijnt “MAST”, “SL 1” of “SL 2”.

2. Druk zo vaak op de UP of DOWN toets totdat de gewenste instelling in het
display verschijnt en druk op ENTER ter bevestiging.

Attentie: Indien in een Master/Slave configuratie een apparaat als Master wordt
geselecteerd en het volgende apparaat in de “SL 2” modus wordt gezet, zijn de
bewegingen van de apparaten ten opzichte van elkaar geïnverteerd.

SHND - SH0 – SH8 – Show modus 0-8. Met deze functie kan een van de
voorgeprogrammeerde shows gekozen worden. Tijdens de show modus
kan de sound active modus zowel in- als uitgeschakeld zijn.

1. Druk zo vaak op de MENU toets totdat “SHND” in het display verschijnt, dr u k op
ENTER. In het display verschijnt vervolgens “Sh X”. “X” vertegenwoordigt een nummer
tussen 0 en 8.

2. Druk zo vaak op de UP of DOWN toets totdat het gewenste programma in het display
verschijnt. show “0” is een random modus.

3. Druk op ENTER wanneer de gewenste show is gekozen en houd de MENU toets ten
minste 3 seconden gedrukt om de show te activeren. Nadat de gewenste show is
ingesteld kan deze ten alle tijden gewijzigd worden door gebruik te maken van de UP en
DOWN toetsen.

SOUN – Het apparaat reageert op geluid.

1. Druk zo vaak op de MENU toets totdat “SOUN” in het display verschijnt, druk op
ENTER.

2. In het display verschijnt “ON” of “OFF”. Druk op de UP of DOWN toets om met “ON”
de sound-active modus te activeren of om met “OFF” de sound-active modus uit te
schakelen.

3. Druk op ENTER en hou de MENU toets gedurende tenminste 3 seconden ingedrukt ter
bevestiging.

SENS – Met deze functie kan de geluidsgevoeligheid worden ingesteld . 0
is het minst gevoelig, 100 is het meest gevoelig.

1. Druk zo vaak op de MENU toets totdat “SENS” in het display verschijnt en druk op
ENTER.

2. Gebruik de UP en DOWN toetsen om de geluidsgevoeligheid naar wens in te stellen.

3. Druk op ENTER ter bevestiging en hou de MENU toets gedurende tenminste 3
seconden ingedrukt.

DNST– Indien er geen DMX signaal aanwezig is gaat het appar aat naar
deze, bij het installeren ingestelde, bedieningsmodus. Het apparaat keert
ook naar deze ingestelde bedieningsmod us bij het inschakelen van de
stroomvoorziening.

1. Druk zo vaak op de MENU toets totdat “DNST” in het display verschijnt. Druk op
ENTER.

2. “MASL”, “BLND” of “LAST” verschijnt onder DNST in het display. Druk op ENTER en
de onderstaande tekst begint te knipperen. Kies met de UP of DOWN toetsen de
gewenste bedieningsmodus waarin het apparaat moet starten bij het wegvallen van het
DMX signaal of bij het inschakelen van de stroom. • MASL (Master-Slave) – Het
apparaat gaat automatisch in de Master-Slave modus en geeft een
voorgeprogrammeerde show weer als het DMX signaal wegvalt of als de
stroomvoorziening wordt aangesloten. • BLND (Black-out) – Het apparaat gaat
automatisch in Stand by modus als het DMX signaal wegvalt of als de
stroomvoorziening wordt aangesloten. • LAST – Als het DMX signaal wegvalt blijft het
apparaat in de laatste DMX instelling. Als deze modus is geprogrammeerd en de
stroomvoorziening wordt aangesloten gaat het apparaat automatisch naar de laatste
DMX instelling.

3. Druk op ENTER om de gewenste instelling te bevestigen en hou de MENU toets
gedurende tenminste 3 seconden inged rukt .

DIND – Met deze functie wordt de dimmer curve geselecteerd.

1. Druk zo vaak op de MENU toets totdat “DIND” in het display verschijnt. Druk op
ENTER. In het display wordt een van de vijf dimmer curven weergegeven.

2. Gebruik de UP en DOWN toetsen om de gewenste modus te selecteren en druk op
ENTER ter bevestiging en om het menu te verlaten.

LED – Met deze functie wordt de verlichting van het display automatisch
na 10 seconden uitgeschakeld.

1. Druk zo vaak op de MENU toets totdat “LED” in het display verschijnt en druk op
ENTER.

2. In het display verschijnt “ON” of “OFF”. Selecteer met de UP of DOWN toets “ON” om
de LED verlichting altijd te laten branden, of “OFF” om de LED verlichting na 10
seconden automatisch uit te schakelen.

3. Druk op ENTER ter bevestiging. Druk op een willekeurige toets om de verlichting van
het display weer te laten branden.

DISP – Met deze functie wordt het display 180° gedraaid.

1. Druk zo vaak op de MENU toets totdat “DISP” in het display verschijnt en druk op
ENTER.

2. Druk op ENTER om het display te draaien. Druk op ENTER om het display nogmaals
te keren.

TEST – Deze functie voert een testprogramma uit. Pan/Tilt beweging en kleuren worden
getest.

1. Druk zo vaak op de MENU toets totdat “TEST” in het display verschijnt en dr uk op ENT ER .

2. Het apparaat doorloopt het testprogramma.

FHRS – Met deze functie kan het aantal bedrijfsuren van het apparaat worden weergegeven.

1. Druk zo vaak op de MENU toets totdat “FHRS” in het display verschijnt en druk op ENTER.

2. Het aantal bedrijfsuren verschijnt in het display. Druk op MENU om het menu te verlaten.

VER – Met deze functie kan de softwareversie van het apparaat worden weergegeven.

1. Druk zo vaak op de MENU toets totdat “VER” in het display verschijnt en druk op ENTER.

2. De softwareversie wordt nu in het display weergegeven. Druk op MENU om het menu te verlaten.

RSET – Met deze functie kan het apparaat gereset worden.

1. Druk zo vaak op de MENU toets totdat “RSET” in het display verschijnt en druk op ENTER.

2. Het apparaat zal nu resetten.

INSTELLINGEN UITGANGSPOSITIES

Houd de ENTER toets gedurende tenminste 3 seconden ingedrukt om toegang te krijgen tot het Tilt submenu. In dit menu kan
de originele positie van de Tilt worden aangepast.

TILT OFFSET – Met deze functie kan de uitgangspositie van de Tilt van bar 1 en 2 worden ingesteld/aangepast.

1. Druk tenminste 3 seconden op de ENTER toets om toegang te krijgen tot het submenu.

2. Druk de UP of DOWN toets totdat “Til 1” of “Til 2” in het display verschijnt en druk op ENTER.

3. Druk de UP of DOWN toets om de gewenste uitgangspositie te bepalen. Als de gewenste uitgangspositie is gevonden druk
dan op ENTER om de instelling op te slaan. Druk 1 seconde op de MENU toets om het menu te verlaten.

BEDIENING

Bedieningsmogelijkheden:

De Double Helix kan op drie verschillende manieren bediend worden. In iedere bedieningsmogelijkheid kan het apparaat zowel
als stand-alone effect functioneren als ook in een Master/Slave configuratie. Hieronder worden de verschillende
bedieningsmogelijkheden gedetailleerd beschreven.

UNIVERSAL DMX CONTROL:

Met deze functie kan een universele DMX-512 controller worden gebruikt om alle afzonderlijke functies te bewerken. Met de
DMX controller kunnen unieke, op ieders persoonlijke wensen toegesneden programma’s worden gecreëerd.

1. De Double Helix is een 2, 9, 11, 12, 16, of 18-kanaals DMX apparaat.

2. Gebruik de faders van de controller om de diverse DMX kanalen te bedienen en zo een eigen programma te creëren.

3. Raadpleeg de gebruikershandleiding van uw DMX controller voor hulp of vragen als apparaat in DMX modus werkt.

4. Gebruik een eindweerstand op het laatste apparaat in de keten bij het gebruik van langere stukken kabel.

SOUND ACTIVE MODE:

Met deze functie kan een enkel apparaat, of meerdere aan elkaar gekoppelde apparaten, functioneren op de beat van de
muziek.

1. Druk zo vaak op de MENU toets totdat “SOUN” in het display verschijnt en druk op ENTER

2. Druk op de UP of DOWN toets om “ON” (sound active modus) of “OFF” te selecteren en druk op ENTER. Houd de MENU
toets gedurende tenminste 3 seconden ingedrukt ter bevestiging.

3. De geluidsgevoeligheid kan worden ingesteld door op de MENU toets te drukken totdat “ SENS” in het display verschijnt.
Druk op ENTER. Gebruik de UP en DOWN toetsen om de geluidsgevoeligheid in te stellen. 1 is het minst gevoelig, 100 is het
meest gevoelig.

SHOW MODE:

Met deze functie kan een enkel apparaat of meerder op elkaar aangesloten apparaten een van de acht gekozen shows
afspelen.

1. Druk zo vaak op de MENU toets totdat “SHND” in het display verschijnt en druk op ENTER.

2. Druk zo vaak op de UP of DOWN toets totdat de gewenste show is gevonden en druk op ENTER en houd de MENU toets
gedurende tenminste 3 seconden inged rukt ter bevestiging.

MASTER/SLAVE CONFIGURATIE

MASTER/SLAVE BEDIENING:

Met deze functie kunnen tot 16 apparaten met elkaar verbonden worden en zonder controller functioneren. De apparaten
reageren op geluid of doorlopen een voorgeprogrammeerde show. In de Master/Slave functie stuurt een apparaat het
programma aan en de andere apparaten reageren hierop. Elk willekeurig apparaat kan zowel Master als Slave zijn.

1. Gebruik standaard XLR DMX kabel, verbind de apparaten met elkaar via de XLR connector aan de achterkant van de
apparaten. De mannelijke XLR connector is de input en de vrouwelijke XLR connector is de output. Het eerste apparaat in de
keten (Master) gebruikt alleen de vrouwelijke connector. Het laatste apparaat in de keten gebruikt alleen de mannelijke
connector. Indien langere stukken kabel worden gebruikt is het raadzaam een eindweerstand te gebruiken bij het laatste
apparaat.

2. Druk bij het Master apparaat op de MENU toets totdat “SLND” in het display verschijnt en druk op ENTER. Selecteer op het
Master apparaat “ MAST” en druk op ENTER. Selecteer de gewenste bedieningsmodus op het master apparaat.

3. Druk bij de Slave apparaten op de MENU toets totdat “SLND” in het display verschijnt en druk op ENTER. Kies “SL1” of “SL2”
en druk op ENTER.

4. De Slave apparaten volgen nu het Master apparaat.

DOORLUSSEN NETSP ANNING

Met deze optie kunt u de apparaten met elkaar doorlussen, gebruik makend van de IEC in- en uitgangen. Het maximum aantal
apparaten dat op elkaar aangesloten kan worden bedr aagt 8 apparaten bij 240V. Bij een groter aantal moet er op een nieuwe
spanningsgroep worden aangesloten. Kies voor het doorlussen ALLEEN apparaten van hetzelfde type.

IR AFST ANDSBEDIENING

LET OP: Wij adviseren u het reinigen en servicen van het apparaat uit te laten voeren

door een vakbekwaam persoon.

De IR infrarood afstandsbediening heeft veel verschillende functies en geeft complete con t role
over de MHL820. De afstand tot het te bedienen apparaat mag maximaal 9 meter bedragen. Richt
de afstandsbediening op de voorzijde van het te bedienen apparaat.

BLACK OUT – Het indrukken van deze toets dooft de lichtbron.
Manual – Auto programma
FADE/GOBO – Deze toets heeft geen functie bij de MHL820.
“DIMMER+” EN “DIM ME R- “ - Met deze toetsen wordt de output intensiteit ingesteld.
STROBE - Houd deze toets ingedrukt om het strobe effect te activeren. Druk een keer op deze

toets voor sound active strobe.

SOUND ON & OFF – Deze toetsen activeren of deactiveren de sound active modus.
SHOW – Met deze toets wordt de show modus geactiveerd. Druk op de 0 toets om random show

modus te activeren, of gebruik toetsen 1-2 om een voorgeprogrammeerde show te selecteren.

VERV A NGEN ZEKERING

Indien de zekering defect is, dient u de zekering te vervangen door een zekering van hetzelfde type en waarde. Voor het
vervangen van de zekering, schakel eerst de stroom uit en volg de onderstaande stappen.

Procedure:

Stap 1: Open de zekeringhouder op het achter paneel met een passende kruis
schroevendraaier.
Stap 2: Verwijder de oude zekering uit de zekeringhouder.
Stap 3: Installeer de nieuwe zekering in de zekeringhouder.
Stap 4: Plaats de zekeringhouder in de behuizing.

ONDERHOUD

Het reinigen van inwendige en uitwendige optische lenzen en / of spiegels moet regelmatig worden uitgevoerd om de
lichtopbrengst te optimaliseren. Reinigingsfrequentie is afhankelijk van de omgeving waarin het armatuur wordt gebruikt: een
klamme, rokerige of bijzonder vuile omgeving kan een grotere opeenhoping van vuil veroorzaken op de optische uitrusting.

• Zorg er voor dat gedurende het onderhoud zich geen individuen bevinden onder het apparaat.

• Schakel het apparaat uit, trek de stekker uit het stopcontact en wacht tot het apparaat is afgekoeld.

• Behuizing, bevestiging en installaties (plafond, truss, ophanging) moeten van deugdelijke aard zijn.

• Het netsnoer mag niet beschadigd zijn en moet direct vervangen worden, ook bij kleine defecten.

• Om het apparaat te beschermen tegen oververhitting dienen ventilatoren en ventilatie openingen iedere maand

gereinigd te worden.

• De lens en spiegels dienen periodiek gereinigd te worden. Deze periode is afhankelijk van de aanwezige viezigheid.

• Alleen reinigen met een droge doek, gebruik geen reinigingsmiddelen.

- Bei Gewitter oder längerem Nichtgebrauch den Netzs tecker

- Wenn das Gerät längere Zeit nic ht benutzt wurde, kann sich
Kondenswasser gebildet haben. Lassen Sie das Gerät erst auf

Packen Sie das Gerät sofort nach Empfang aus und prüfen Sie den Inhalt. Wenn Teile fehlen oder beschädigt sind,
benachrichtigen Sie sofort den Spediteur und bewahren Sie die Verpackung auf. Falls ein Gerät ins Werk zurückgeschickt
werden muss, ist es wichtig, dass es in der Originalverpackung versandt wird.

Das Gerät darf nicht in Betrieb genommen werden, nachdem es von einem kalten in einen warmen Raum gebracht wurde. Das
dabei entstehende Kondenswasser kann unter Umständen Ihr Gerät zerstören. Lassen Sie das Gerät solange uneingeschaltet,
bis es Zimmertemperatur erreicht hat!

NETZANSCHLUSS

Die benötigte Versorgungsspannung steht auf dem Typenschild auf der Rückseite des Geräts. Die angegebenen Stromwerte
entsprechen einem Durchschnittswert bei normalem Betrieb. Alle Geräte müssen direkt ans Netz angeschlossen werden und
dürfen nicht über Dimmerpacks geschaltet werden. Bevor Sie eine Spannung anlegen, prüfen Sie, ob der Wert der zulässigen
Spannung entspricht.

Verbinden Sie immer das Gerät an einem geschützten Schaltkreis (Leistungsschalter oder Sicherung). Stellen Sie
sicher, das Gerät ist elektrisch geerdet, um das Risiko eines Stromschlags oder Feuer zu vermeiden.

INSTALLATION

• Die Aufhängung des Geräts muss 10-mal das Eigengewicht 1 Stunde lang ohne Spuren von Verformung tragen
können.

• Verwenden Sie immer das mitgelieferte Montagebügel, um das Gerät zu hängen.

• Das Gerät darf nur über den Montagebügel (nicht enthalten) an der mitgelieferten Hänge-/Befestigungsbügel installiert
werden.

• Das Gerät muss immer mit H ilfe von Sicherungsseil gesichert werden.

• Die Anlage muss immer mit einer zweiten Sicherheitsvorrichtung z.B. einem geeigneten Fallnetz/Sicherungsseil

befinden.

• Der Benutzer muss sicherstellen, dass alle sicherheitstechnischen Anlagen von einem Fachmann geprüft werden,
bevor er die Anlage zum ersten Mal in Betrieb nimmt oder nach Änderungen der Anlage.

• Der Benutzer muss sicherstellen, dass die Anlage einmal im Jahr von einem Fachmann geprüft wird.

Die Konsole bietet verschiedene Funktionen wie: einfache Eingabe der
Startadresse, wählen Sie Preset-Programm oder ein Reset. Das
Hauptmenü wird durch Drücken der Mode-Taste aufgerufen, blättern Sie
durch die Untermenüs durch Up oder Down-Taste.

Drücken Sie die Enter-Taste, um das gewünschte Menü auszuwählen.
Sie können die Auswahl mit der Taste Up oder Down, ändern. Bestätigen

Sie können jeden Modus durch Drücken der Mode-Taste verlassen. Die
Funktionen werden später in diesem Gebrauchsanleitung beschrieben.

DMX-512 ANSCHLUSS

Wenn Sie einen standard Controller verwenden, können Sie den DMX-Ausgang des Controllers direkt mit dem DMX-Eingang
des ersten Gerätes der DMX-Kette verbinden. Verbinden Sie immer einen Ausgang mit dem Eingang des nächsten Gerätes bis
alle Geräte angeschlossen sind. Sollen DMX-Controller mit 5-polige XLR-Ausgängen angeschlossen werden, müssen 5-polige
nach 3-polige Adapter verwendet werden.

Achtung, Am letzten Gerät muss das DMX-Kabel durch einen Abschlusswiderstand abgeschlossen werden. Dazu
wird ein XLR-Stecker in den DMX-Ausgang am letzten Gerät gesteckt, bei dem zwischen Signal (-) und Signal (+)
ein 120 Ohm Widerstand eingelötet ist.

SYSTEM MENU

ADDR - DMX Adressierungs-Einstellung

1. Drücken Sie entweder auf MENU, UP oder DOWN, bis “ADDR”
angezeigt wird; drücken Sie dann auf ENTER.

2. Die aktuelle Adresse wird nun angezeigt und blinkt. Drücken Sie
zum Auswählen der gewünschten Adresse auf UP oder DOWN.
Zum Einstellen der gewünschten DMX-Adresse drücken Sie auf
ENTER.

CHND - Damit können Sie den gewünschten DMX-Kanal­Modus auswählen.

1. Drücken Sie auf MENU, bis "CHND" angezeigt wird; drücken Sie
dann ENTER. Es wird nun der aktuelle DMX-Kanal-Modus
angezeigt.

2. Zum Auswählen des gewünschten DMX-Modus, drücken Sie die

2. Zum Auswählen der gewünschten DMX-Einstellungen, drücken Sie die Tasten

ENTER.
HINWEIS: In einer Master/Slave-Konfiguration können Sie ein Gerät als Master
definieren und dann das nächste Gerät als "SL 2"; die Geräte bewegen sich nun
entgegengesetzt zueinander.

SHND - Show-Modi 0-8 (Standardprogramme). Der Show-Modus kann mit
eingeschaltetem oder ausgeschaltetem Musiksteuerungs-Modus
betrieben werden.

1. Drücken Sie auf MENU, bis "SHND" angezeigt wird; drücken Sie dann ENTER.

2. “Sh X” wird nun angezeigt, wobei "X" eine Zahl zwischen 0 und 8 ist. Drücken Sie zum
Auswählen der gewünschten Show auf UP oder DOWN.

3. Sobald Sie Ihre gewünschte Show gefunden haben, drücken Sie auf ENTER und
danach auf MENU und halten es zur Bestätigung für mindestens 3 Sekunden gedrückt.
Nachdem Sie Ihre gewünschte Show eingestellt haben, kann diese jederzeit mit den UP­oder DOWN-Tasten geändert werden.

SOUN - Musiksteuerungs-Modus.

1. Drücken Sie auf MENU, bis “SOUN” angezeigt wird; drücken Sie dann ENTER.

2. Auf der Anzeige ist entweder “ON” oder “OFF” zu sehen. Zum Aktivieren des
Musiksteuerungs-Modus, drücken Sie die Tasten UP oder DOWN und wählen "ON",
zum Deaktivieren wählen Sie "OFF".

3. Bestätigen Sie mit ENTER.

SENS - In diesem Modus können Sie die Musikempfindlichkeit anpassen.

1. Drücken Sie auf MENU, bis “SENS” angezeigt wird; drücken Sie dann ENTER.

2. Es wird eine Zahl zwischen 0 und 100 angezeigt. Mit den UP und DOWN-Tasten
können Sie die Empfindlichkeit der Musiksteuerung einstellen. 0 bezeichnet dabei die
am wenigsten empfindliche, 100 die empfindlichste Einstellung.

3. Sobald Sie die gewünschte Einstellung gefunden haben, drücken Sie zur Bestätigung
auf ENTER.

DNST - Dieser Modus kann als Sicherheitsmodus verwendet werden,
sodass bei einem fehlenden oder gestörtem DMX-Signal oder einem

Stromausfall das Gerät in den beim Einrichten ausgewählten
Betriebsmodus wechselt. Sie können diesen auch als den Betriebsmodus
festlegen, in den das Gerät beim Einschalten zurückkehrt.

1. Drücken Sie auf MENU, bis "DNST" angezeigt wird; darunter wird dann entweder
"MASL", "BLND" oder "LAST" angezeigt.

2. Drücken Sie auf ENTER; die untere Auswahl beginnt zu blinken. Drücken Sie zum
Auswählen des Betriebsmodus, mit dem das Gerät beim Einschalten oder bei
fehlendem DMX-Signal betrieben werden soll, auf UP oder DOWN.

• LAST - Wenn kein DMX-Signal vorhanden ist, bleibt das Gerät in der letzten DMX­Einstellung. Wenn das Gerät eingeschaltet wird, geht es automatisch in den Modus der
letzten DMX-Einstellung.

• MASL (Master/Slave) - Wenn kein D M X-Signal vorhanden ist oder das Gerät
eingeschaltet wird, geht das Gerät automatisch in den Master/Slave-Modus und führt
eine integrierte Show aus.

• BLND (Blackout = Verdunkelung) - Wenn kein DMX-Signal vorhanden oder dieses
unterbrochen ist, geht das Gerät automatisch in den Standby-Modus.

3. Zum Bestätigen der gewünschten Einstellung drücken Sie auf ENTER.

DIND - Damit können Sie die gewünschte Dimmungskurve auswählen.

1. Drücken Sie auf MENU, bis “DIND” angezeigt wird; drücken Sie dann auf ENTER.
Die Dimmungskurven 1 bis 5 werden angezeigt. "STDA" (Standard), "STGE" (Bühne),
"TV" (TV), "ARAL" (Theater) oder "THAL" (architektonisch).

2. Zum Auswählen der gewünschten Dimmungskurve drücken Sie die Tasten UP oder
DOWN und zum Bestätigen und Verlassen des Menüs auf die Taste ENTER.

LED - Mit dieser Funktion können Sie festlegen, ob die LED-Anzeige sich

2. Auf der Anzeige ist entweder “ON” oder “OFF” zu sehen. Mit den Tasten UP oder
DOWN wählen Sie "ON", um die LED-Anzeige immer eingeschaltet zu lassen, oder Sie
wählen "OFF", wenn es nach 10 Sekunden ausgehen soll.

DISP - Mit dieser Funktion kann die Anzeige um 180 Grad gedreht werden.

1. Drücken Sie auf MENU, bis "DISP" angezeigt wird; drücken Sie dann ENTER.

2. Um die Anzeige zu wenden, betätigen Sie die Taste ENTER. Um die Anzeige erneut
umzudrehen, betätigen Sie die Taste ENTER.

TEST - Mit dieser Funktion können Sie eine Selbstprüfung veranlassen.

2. Das Gerät durchläuft nun eine Selbstprüfung.

FHRS - Mit dieser Funktion können Sie sich die Laufzeit des Geräts anzeigen lassen.

1. Drücken Sie auf MENU, bis "FHRS" angezeigt wird; drücken Sie dann ENTER.

2. Die Laufzeit des Geräts wird nun angezeigt. Drücken Sie zum Beenden auf MENU.

BETRIEB

Der Double Helix kann in drei verschiedenen Modi betrieben werden. In jedem Modus können Sie das Gerät als Stand-alone
oder in der Master/Slave-Konfiguration betreiben. Im nächsten Abschnitt sind die Unterschiede zwischen den einzelnen
Betriebsmodi aufgelistet.

Universelle DMX-Steuerung:

Mit dieser Funktion können Sie einen universellen DMX-512-Controller für die Steuerung der Effekte Chase, Muster, Dimmer
und Strobe verwenden. Mit einem DMX-Controller lassen sich einzigartige Programme erzeugen, die perfekt auf die jeweiligen
Anforderungen zugeschnitt en sind .

1. Der Double Helix ist mit 6 DMX-Kanal-Modi ausgestattet; 2, 9, 11, 12, 16 und 18 Kanäle.

2. Zur Steuerung der Eigenschaften des DMX-Geräts, benutzen Sie die Überblendregler des Controllers.

3. Bei längeren Netzkabeln (mehr als 30 Meter) verwenden Sie am letzten Gerät eine Abschlussschaltung.

4. Für Hilfe beim Betrieb im DMX-Modus, lesen Sie bitte die Bedienungsanleitung des DMX-Controllers.

Musiksteuerungs-Modus:

In diesem Modus können Sie entweder nur ein Gerät oder mehrere verbundene Geräte zur Musik laufen lassen.

1. Drücken Sie auf MENU, bis "SOUN" angezeigt wird; drücken Sie dann auf ENTER.

MASTER/SLAVE KONFIGURATION

Mit dieser Funktion lassen sich bis zu 16 Geräte miteinander verbinden und ohne Controller betreiben. Die Geräte laufen im
Musiksteuerungs-Modus. In einer Master/Slave-Konfiguration fungiert ein Gerät als Steuerungseinheit und die anderen
reagieren auf die integrierten Program me die ser St euer ung s einheit. Jedes Gerät kann als Master oder Slave definiert werden.

1. Schließen Sie die Geräte in Reihe über die an der Rückseite befindlichen XLR-Buchsen zusammen. Beachten Sie, dass der
männliche XLR-Anschluss der Eingang und der weibliche XLR-Anschluss der Ausgang ist. Das erste Gerät in der
Serienschaltung (Master) verwendet nur den weiblichen XLR-Anschluss (Buchse). Das letzte Gerät in der Reihe verwendet nur

SICHERUNGSWECHSEL

Sicherungswechsel ist das Gerät allpolig von der Netzspannung zu trennen (Netzsteckerziehen).

Vorgehensweise:

Schritt 1: Öffnen Sie den Sicherungshalter an der Geräterückseite mit einem passen den
Schraubendreher.
Schritt 2: Entfernen Sie die defekte Sicherung aus dem Sicherungshalter.
Schritt 3: Setzen Sie die neue Sicherung in den Sicherungshalter ein.
Schritt 4: Setzen Sie den Sicherungshalter wieder im Gehäuse ein.

REINIGUNG UND W ARTUNG

OPERACION

El Double Helix puede funcionar en tres modos diferentes. En cada modo puede ejecutar el dispositivo como un dispositivo
independiente o en una configuración maestro / esclavo. Esta próxima sección detallará las diferencias en los modos de
funcionamiento.

Control DMX universal:

Esta función le permite usar un controlador DMX-512 universal para controlar las persecuciones y los patrones, dimmer y
estrobo. Un controlador DMX le permite crear programas únicos adaptados a sus necesidades individuales.

1. El Double Helix tiene 6 modos DMX del Canal; 2 canales, 9 canales, 11 canales, 12 canales, 16 canales y 18 canales.

2. Utilice los deslizadores controladores para controlar las distintas características del dispositivo DMX. Esto permitirá al
usuario crear sus propios programas.

3. Para cables más largos (más de 100 pies) utilizar un terminador en el último dispositivo.

como esclavo.

1. Use cables de datos DMX aprobados, encadene sus unidades por medio del conector XLR en la parte trasera de las

CAMBIANDO EL FUSIBLE

LIMPIEZA

Le panneau de commande vous permet d’effectuer différents réglages :
réglage de l’adresse de démarrage, gestion d’un programme pré­programmé, lancer un Reset. Le menu principal est accessible en
appuyant sur la touche Mode, vous pouvez naviguer dans le sous-menu
avec la touche Up ou Down.

Appuyez sur la touche Enter pour choisir le menu souhaité.

BRANCHEMENT DMX-512

Si vous utilisez un contrôleur DMX classique, vous pouvez relier la sortie DMX du contrôleur directement à l’entrée DMX du
premier appareil dans une chaîne DMX. Reliez toujours la sortie d’un appareil à l’entrée de l’appareil suivant jusqu’à ce que
tous les appareils soient reliés.

Connecteurs DMX XLR 5 pôles

Certains fabricants utilisent des cordons de transmission DMX-512 5 pôles pour la transmission des données à la place de
cordons 3 pôles. Des appareils avec connexion DMX 5 pôles peuvent être utilisés dans une ligne DMX 3 pôles. Si vous u tili sez
des câbles de données 5 pôles dans une ligne 3 pôles, vous devez utiliser un adaptateur. Le tableau ci-dessous présente la
modification du câble.

Sur le dernier appareil, le cordon DMX doit être terminé par un bouchon. Soudez une résistance 120 ohms entre
signal (-) et signal (+) sur une prise XLR 3 pôles et branchez-la à la sortie DMX du dernier appareil de la chaîne.

MENU SYSTEME

ADDR - Réglage adresse de démarrage.

SLND - Réglage appareil en mode master ou slave

1. Appuyez sur la touche MENU jusqu'à ce que “SLND” soit affiché. “MAST”, “SL 1”,
ou “SL 2” s'affiche.

2. Appuyez sur UP ou DOWN jusqu'à ce que votre réglage souhaité soit affiché,

NOTE: en configuration master / slave, vous pouvez régler un appareil sur master et

rapport à l'autre.

enfoncée pendant 3 secondes au moins pour l'activation. Une fois le show souhaité réglé, il
peut être modifié à tout moment avec la touche UP ou DOWN.

SOUN - Mode audio.

1. Appuyez sur la touche MENU jusqu'à ce que “SOUN” soit affiché, puis appuyez sur
ENTER.

2. L'affichage indique “ON” ou “OFF”. Appuyez sur la touche UP ou DOWN pour
sélectionner “ON” pour activer le mode gestion audio ou sur “OFF“ pour le désactiver.

3. Appuyez sur ENTER pour confirmer.

SENS - Réglage de la sensibilité.

1. Appuyez sur la touche MENU jusqu'à ce que “SENS” soit affiché, puis appuyez sur
ENTER.

2. Un nombre entre 0 et 100 s'affiche. Appuyez sur la touche UP ou DOWN pour régler la
sensibilité audio. 0 est la sensibilité la plus faible, 100, la plus importante.

3. Une fois le réglage effectué, appuyez sur ENTER pour confirmer.

DNST - Mode utilisable comme mode de précaution : en cas de perte de
signal DMX, de coupure, de perte d'alimen tation, le mode de fonctionnement
choisi dans le réglage est le mode de fonctionnement de l'appareil;

1. Appuyez sur la touche MENU jusqu'à ce que “DNST” soit affiché : “MASL”, “BLND”, ou
“LAST” est affiché en dessous.

2. Appuyez sur ENTER, la touche choisie commence à clignot er. Utilisez les touches UP ou
DOWN pour choisir un mode de fonctionnement avec lequel vous voulez que l'appareil
démarre lorsque l'alimentation est appliquée ou si le signal DMX est perdu.

• LAST - Si le signal DMX est perdu, l'appareil reste dans le dernier réglage DMX. Si
l'alimentation est appliquée et ce mode réglé, l'appareil ira automatiquement au dernier
réglage DMX.

• MASL (Master Slave) - Si le signal DMX est perdu ou l'alimentation appliquée, l'appareil
ira automatiquement en mode Master Slave et fera défiler un show intégré.

• BLND (Blackout) - Si le signal DMX est perdu ou interrompu, l'appareil ira
automatiquement en mode Standby.

3. Appuyez sur ENTER pour confirmer votre réglage.

FONCTIONNEMENT

Le Double Helix peut fonctionner selon trois modes différents. Dans chaque mode, l'appareil peut fonctionner en stand alone ou
en mode master / slave. Le chapitre suivant présente les différences entre les modes de fonctionnement.

Gestion DMX universelle :

Cette fonction vous permet d'utiliser un contrôleur DMX-512 pour gérer les chases, modèles, dimmer et strobe. Un contrôleur
DMX vous permet de créer des programmes répondant spécifiquement à vos besoins.

1. Le Double Helix a 6 modes de canaux DMX : 2 canaux, 9 canaux, 11 canaux, 12 canaux, 16 canaux, 18 canaux.

2. Utilisez lez faders du contrôleur pour régler les canaux DMX afin de créer votre propre programme.

3. Pour de grandes longueurs de câbles (supérieures à 50 mètres), utiliser un bouchon sur le dernier appareil.

4. Reportez-vous au manuel d'utilisation du contrôleur DMX pour toute utilisation de appareil en mode DMX.

Mode Sound Active:

Ce mode permet de faire fonctionner soit un seul appareil soit plusieurs appareils reliés ensemble, selon le rythme de la
musique.

1. Appuyez sur la touche MENU jusqu'à ce que “SOUN” soit affiché, puis appuyez sur ENTER.

2. Appuyez sur UP ou DOWN jusqu'à ce que “ON” soit affiché. L'appareil fonctionne maintenant selon le rythme de la musique.

3. Vous pouvez régler la sensibilité audio en appuyant sur la touche MENU jusqu'à ce que “SENS” ; appuyez ensuite sur
ENTER. Utilisez les touches UP ou DOWN pour régler la sensibilité audio, 1 est la sensibilité la plus basse, 100 la plus forte

Mode Show:

Dans ce mode, vous pouvez choisir un show parmi les trois.

2. Appuyez sur UP ou DOWN jusqu'à trouver le show souhaité puis appuyez sur ENTER ; maintenez la touche MENU enfoncée
pendant 3 secondes pour confirmer.

SOUS MENU OFFSET

Pour entrer dans le menu Offset, appuyez sur la touche ENTER pendant 3 secondes au moins ; dans ce sous-menu, vous
pouvez régler les positions de départ des moteurs tilt.

Tilt Offset - Réglage de la position tilt de départ pour une des deux barres.

1. Appuyez sur la touche ENTER pendant 3 secondes au moins, puis appuyez sur UP ou DOWN pour que “Til 1” ou “Til 2”
s'affiche, puis appuyez sur ENTER.

2. Utilisez les touches UP ou DOWN pour effectuer les réglages, puis appuyez sur ENTER pour confirmer. Appuyez sur la
touche MENU pendant une seconde pour quitter.

MODE MASTER/SLAVE

Cette fonction permet de relier jusqu'à 16 appareils et de les faire fonctionner sans contrôleur. Dans un ensemble master /
slave, un appareil va servir de contrôleur, les autres vont réagir aux programmes. N'importe quel appareil peut être Master ou
Slave.

1. En utilisant les cordons DMX adéquats, reliez ensemble vos appareils avec une fiche XLR sur l'arrière des appareils.
Rappelez-vous que la fiche XLR mâle est l'entrée et la fiche XLR femelle la sortie. Le premier appareil de la chaîne (Master)
utilise uniquement la fiche femelle XLR. Le dernier appareil de la chaîne utilise la fiche mâle XLR uniquement. Pour de longs
câbles, nous vous conseillons de mettre un bouchon sur le dernier appareil.

2. Pour l'appareil Master appuyez sur la touche MENU jusqu'à ce que “SLND“ soit affiché, puis appuyez sur ENTER. Réglez
l'appareil sur “MAST” et appuyez sur ENTER.

3. Réglez ensuite l'appareil Master sur le mode de fonctionnement souhaité.

4. Pour les appareils slave, appuyez sur la touche MENU jusqu'à ce que “SLND“ soit affiche et appuyez sur ENTER. Réglez les
appareils slave sur “SL 1” ou “SL 2”. 5. Les appareils Slave vont suivre désormais l'appareil master.

CORDON ALIMENT ATION CHAINAGE

Avec cet appareil, vous pouvez relier les appareils les uns aux autres en utilisant l'entrée IEC et les prises de sortie. 8 appareils
au plus peuvent être reliés pour un fonctionnement en 240 V. Une fois le nombre maximum atteint, vous devez utiliser une
nouvelle prise alimentation. Les appareils doivent être identiques. Ne mélangez pas les modèles d'appareils.

TELECOMMANDE INFRAROUGE

La télécommande infrarouge permet d'accéder à différentes fonctions. Pour gérer l'appareil, vous
devez diriger la télécommande vers l'avant de l'appareil et ne pas être à moins de 1 mètre.

Black out - Activation du blackout.
Manual – Lecture auto.
FADE/GOBO - Sans fonction sur cet appareil.
“DIMMER +” et “DIMMER -” - Touches pour régler l'intensité de sortie
STROBE - Appuyez sur la touche et maintenez-la enfoncée pour un fonctionnement Strobe

aléatoire. Appuyez sur la touche pour activer le mode Strobe géré par la musique.

SOUND ON & OFF - Touches pour activer et désactiver le mode de gestion par le son.
SHOW - Pour activer le mode Show. Appuyez sur la touche pour activer le mode Show aléatoire

ou utilisez les touches 1-2 pour sélectionner un show préprogrammé.

REMPLACEMENT DU FUSIBLE

Si le fusible est défectueux, il faut le remplacer par un fusible de même type et de même valeur. Avant de le remplacer, veillez à
débrancher l’appareil.

Procédure:

Etape 1: Ouvrez le porte-fusible sur le panneau arrière avec un petit tournevis.
Etape 2: Retirez l’ancien fusible.
Etape 3: Placez le nouveau fusible dans le porte-fusible.
Etape 4: Remettez le porte-fusible dans le boîtier.

NETTOYAGE

ATTENTION : Nous recommandons fortement que le nettoyage intérieur soit fait par un technicien qualifié.

Le nettoyage des lentilles optiques internes et externes et / ou miroirs doit être fait régulièrement pour un rendu lumineux
optimal. La fréquence de nettoyage dépend de l’environnement d’utilisation : de la poussière, fumée ou un environnement très
sale peuvent générer une accumulatio n impor tante de salissures sur les optiques.

• Assurez-vous que personne ne se trouve sous l’emplacement d’installation pendant le nettoyage.

• Les boîtiers, fixations et éléments d’installation (plafond, structures, suspensions) ne doivent présenter aucune

déformation.

• Le cordon secteur ne doit pas présenter de dommage ; si un problème est détecté, il doit être immédiatement être
remplacé.

• Pour protéger l’appareil de toute surchauffe, les ventilateurs et ouïes d’aération doivent être nettoyés tous les mois.

• L’intérieur de l’appareil doit être nettoyé tous les ans avec un compresseur.

• Pour le nettoyage, utilisez un tissu doux et du liquide de nettoyage pour vitres usuel.

• Séchez correctement tous les élément s.

• Nettoyez les optiques externes tous les mois au moins. Nettoyez les optiques internes tous les 30 à 60 jours au moins.

POŁĄ CZENIE DMX512

Jeśli używasz standardowego sterownika DMX, możesz podłączyć pierwsze urządzenie w łańcuchu do wyjścia DMX w

sterowniku. Zawsze podłączaj urządzenia w łańcuchu DMX szeregowo (jak na poniższym obrazku).

ZłĄ cza 5-pin XLR DMX.

Niektórzy producenci używają 5-pinowych gniazd DMX zamiast gniazd 3-pinowych. Takie urządzenia mogą być podłączone do

standardowego łańcucha DMX. Trzeba zastosować jednak specjalny adapter. Tabelka poniżej wyjaśnia prawidłową konwersję

sygnału z wtyku 5-pinowego na wtyk 3-pinowy.

W ostatnie urządzenie w łańcuchu DMX musi być wpięty terminator. Terminator jest to wtyk XLR, w którym 2

oraz 3 pin są połączone ze sobą opornikiem 120 Ohm.

3. Kiedy odnajdziesz pożądany program, naciśnij ENTER, a następnie naciśnij I
przytrzymaj przez co najmniej 3 sekundy, aby aktywować. Po tym, jak ustawisz dowolny

program, możesz go zmienić za pomocą przycisków UP lub DOWN.

Głowica MHL820 może pracować w trzech różnych trybach. W każdym trybie urządzenie może pracować w trybie standalone

lub master/slave.Następna sekcja wskaże różnice pomiędzy trybami pracy urządzenia.

Kontrola DMX:

Ta funkcja pozwala na sterowanie urządzeniem za pomocą standardowego sterownika DMX w celu ustawienia chase’ów,

wzorów, ściemniacza oraz stroboskopu. Sterownik DMX pozwala na stworzenie unikalnych programów dopasowanych do

Twoich potrzeb.

1. MHL820 posiada 6 trybów DMX; 2-kanałowy, 9-kanałowy, 11-kanałowy, 12-kanałowy 16-kanałowy oraz 18-kanałowy.

2. Używaj suwaków sterownika, aby ustawić różne funkcje urządzenia. Pozwoli to na stworzenie własnych programów.

3. Przy dłuższych kablach DMX (pow. 30 m) do ostatniego urządzenia wpinaj terminator DMX.

4. Aby uzyskać pomoc w obsłudze DMX, przeczytaj instrukcję dołączoną do sterownika.

TRYB MASTER/SLAVE

Ta funkcja pozwoli na połączenie ze sobą do 16 urządzeń, aby pracowały bez sterownika. W trybie master/slav e, jedn o
urządzenie pełni funkcję sterownika, a pozostałe naśladują jego działanie. Każde urządzenie może być master’em lub slave’m.

1. Używając sprawdzonych kabli DMX, szeregowo połącz ze sobą urządzenia za pomocą złącz XLR na panelu tylnym.

Pamiętaj, że gniazdo męskie XLR jest wejściem, natomiast gniazdo żeńskie XLR jest wyjściem. Pierwsze urządzenie w

łańcuchu będzie używać tylko gniazda żeńskiego, natomiast ostatnie gniazda męskiego. Przy dłuższych instalacjach zalecamy

zastosowanie terminatora DMX na ostatnim urządzeniu w łańcuchu.

2. Aby ustawić urządzenie jako Master, naciśnij przycisk MENU aż na wyświetlaczu pojawi się „SLND” oraz naciśnij ENTER.

Wybierz opcję „MAST” oraz naciśnij ENTER.

3. Ustaw odpowiedni tryb pracy w urządzeniu Master.

4. Dla pozostałych urządzeń naciskaj przycisk MENU aż na wyświetlaczu pojawi się „SLND” oraz naciśnij ENTER. Ustaw

urządzenia w tryb “SL1” lub “SL2”.

5. Urządzenia slave będą naśladować urządzenie master.

ZASILANIE – POŁĄ CZENIE SZEREGOWE

Dzięki tej funkcji możliwe jest połączenie kilku urządzeń ze sobą za pomocą kabli IEC. Maksymalna ilość podłączonych

urządzeń wynosi 8 przy napięciu 240V. Nie wolno łączyć ze sobą różnych urządzeń.

PILOT IR

Pilot IR pozwala na kontrolę nad kilkoma funkcjami urządzenia na odległość. Aby móc używać
pilota, musisz celować nim w panel przedni urządzenia oraz przebywać w odległości od urządzenia

nie większej niż 30 stóp.

Black out – wygaszenie urządzenia.
Manual – funkcja auto.
FADE/GOBO – brak funkcji.
“DIMMER +” and “DIMMER -” - ustawienia mocy wyjściowej świecenia.
STROBE – Naciśnij i przytrzymaj, aby włączyć losowy stroboskop. Naciśnij, aby włączyć

stroboskop reagujący na dźwięk.

SOUND ON & OFF – włączenie/wyłaczenie sterowania dźwiękiem.
SHOW - Aktywacja wbudowanych pokazów. Naciśnij przycisk Show aby aktywować losowy pokaz

lub użyj przycisków 1-2, aby wybrać konkretny preset.

TRYB MASTER/SLAVE

UWAGA: Wewnętrzne czyszczenie powinno być przeprowadzane przez wykwalifikowaną osobę.

Tryb master/slave pozwala na to, aby kilka takich samych urządzeń powielało ustawienia jednego urządzenia “master”.
Podłącz 3-pinowy kabel DMX do wyjścia DMX w pierwszym urządzeniu oraz wejścia DMX w kolejnym urządzeniu. Powtórz

proces z trzecim, czwartym itd. urządzeniem, albo zobacz sekcję powyżej (Połączenie DMX). Wybierz urządzenie, które będzie
kontrolować pozostałe, oraz za pomocą panelu z wyświetlaczem ustaw w nim tryb „master”. Pozostałe urządzenia, które
powinny przyjmować ustawienia urządzenia „master”, należy ustawić w trybie „slave”. Teraz wszystkie urządzenia będą

pracować tak samo.

Informacja: Każde urządzenie może pracować jako “master” lub “slave”.

WYMIANA BEZPIECZNIKA

Jeśli bezpiecznik jest niesprawny, wymień go na nowy egezmplarz tego samego typu i wartości. Przed wymianą bezpiecznika

wyciągnij kabel zasilajacy z gniazda.

zapewnić najlepszą moc świecenia. Częstotliwość konserwacji zależy od środowiska, w jakim urządzenie jest użytkowane:

wilgoć, dym oraz kurz mogą spowodować akumulację nieczystości na optykach.

• Upewnij się, że przestrzeń pod instalacją jest wolna od osób postronnych.

• Obudowy, miejsca montażu oraz konstrukcje powinny być wolne od jakichkolwiek deformacji.
