Beam Central Vacuum Systems

LCD INSTRUCTION

Icono de motor y cara triste

Esta pantalla indica que el motor se apagó debido a una falla
eléctrica. Cuando el sistema experimenta una falla eléctrica intenta
automáticamente reactivarse después de un retardo de 15 a 30
segundos. Una vez reactivado, la pantalla regresa a la vista principal
destellando, indicando que la unidad motriz fue reposicionada y
funcionará correctamente al encenderla.

En caso de que el sistema no pueda reposicionarse automáticamente,
la vista cambiará a aquélla con icono de teléfono y cara triste,
indicando la necesidad de contactar al concesionario Beam para
pedir servicio. Esto indica una falla del motor, y necesita servicio.

Esta vista aparecerá por cualquiera de dos razones:

1) El sistema experimenta una falla que requiere reparación por
un técnico de servicio autorizado de Beam.

2) La unidad motriz completó 500 horas en el ciclo de vida y las
escobillas del motor y el filtro deben revisarse en busca de
desgaste.

Para resolver esta alerta del sistema, comuníquese con un
concesionario de Beam.

SUGERENCIA: Cambiar las escobillas del motor es una manera
muy económica de aumentar la vida útil del motor y se recomienda
hacerlo después de 500 horas de funcionamiento.

Read This Manual Thoroughly

Before Use

MAIN SCREEN

The main screen is shown when the system is connected to an
electrical outlet. This is the screen displayed in regular operations
mode with full system performance. The system performance plus
local time and temperature can be viewed from the Main Screen.

Along the bottom of the screen the following icons are displayed
from left to right, the Power(
Toggle Arrow icons and the Enter ( ) icon. To scroll through the
LCD menus, the button directly below each corresponding icon
executes the navigational feature.

USER SETUP

Your LCD enabled power unit provides the ability to customize the
temperature(Celcius or Fahrenheit) and time formats(12-hour or 24­hour). Formats can be customized using the USER SETUP menu.
To enter the USER SETUP menu, press the <Enter> button.

Temperature Customization

Use the Left and Right toggle buttons to select the temperature
format of either C or F. Once the correct format has been selected,
press the <Enter> button to proceed to the next screen.

Time Format Customization

Use the Left and Right toggle arrows to select the temperature format
of either 12 or 24 hours. Once the correct format has been selected,
press the <Enter> button to proceed to the next screen.

Time Setting

The time can be changed by using the Left and Right toggle buttons.
The first number field in the display is underlined with a bar,
indicating that it can be adjusted with the toggle buttons. Press the
<Enter> button to proceed to the next number field.

Review User Setup Settings

The next screen displays the temperature and time with the user
selected formats. Press the <Enter> button to return to the Main
Screen

SYSTEM CHECKS

The System Checks menu provides the ability to monitor overall
system performance. Specific elements monitored include the dirt
receptacle level, airflow performance, motor and electrical systems,
and the need for power unit service. The happy face indicates that each
monitored element of the power unit is performing at optimal levels.
Use the right and left toggle buttons to scroll through the SYSTEM
CHECK screens to view each system monitoring element.

Main Screen

Dirt Receptacle and Happy Face

This display denotes that the dirt receptacle does NOT currently
need to be emptied.

Three to Five Performance Bars and Happy Face

This display indicates the system is performing at the optimal airflow
level. The power unit motor is operating at optimum performance
when all five power bars are illuminated. Normal operating
performance is when three to five bars are shown. Performance
levels will decrease as the filter is loaded with debris or as the motor
has significant wear. Fewer bars will be illuminated as performance
decreases.

When the power unit is off, the display will illuminate the airflow
level of the last operating cycle. Note: It is also normal to see changes
in performance when specialty attachments are used.

ALERTAS DEL SISTEMA

Su unidad motriz habilitada mediante pantalla LCD está continuamente
monitoreando el estado del sistema. En caso de ocurrir una condición
de error, en la pantalla LCD aparecerá una alerta del sistema en lugar
de la vista principal.

El símbolo de cara triste indica que la unidad motriz ha experimentado
una condición de error. La unidad motriz puede exhibir las alertas
siguientes:

Vista principal destellando

Si la unidad motriz recibe un exceso de electricidad tal como una
situación de sobrecorriente, la vista principal empieza a destellar.

La vista principal destellando indica que la unidad motriz se recuperó
automáticamente de una situación de error y funcionará correctamente
al encenderla.

Icono de receptáculo y cara triste

Esta vista aparecerá cuando es necesario revisar el receptáculo de polvo
para vaciarlo. Después de revisar (y posiblemente vaciar) el receptáculo,
oprima el botón de <Entrar> para regresar a la vista principal. Esto
reposicionará el temporizador para el monitor del receptáculo.

Vaciado/barras de potencia destellando y cara triste

Esta vista aparece cuando el motor de la unidad motriz no puede funcionar
a nivel de rendimiento óptimo del sistema. Cuando solamente 2 barras
o menos están iluminadas, el flujo de aire está obstruido, lo que significa
que la potencia de limpieza de la aspiradora ha disminuido. Si las barras
restantes están destellando, la obstrucción del flujo de aire ha existido
por más de 12 minutos de aspiración y necesita atención urgente. El
flujo de aire puede estar obstruido debido a varios factores:

Motor Icon and Happy Face

This display indicates all electrical and motor components are
functioning properly.

Telephone Icon and Happy Face

This screen indicates that the system has NOT encountered any error
conditions and it is NOT necessary to call for service at this time.

System Run Time

This display shows you the overall number of hours that the power
unit has operated. It shows your total time of vacuuming with the
Beam system.

La causa más común es un filtro lleno, y el rendimiento del sistema puede
restablecerse al limpiar el filtro. Si no, podría haber una obstrucción
del sistema, y será necesario revisar la manguera y sistema de tubería

en busca de la misma.
