Compact VDSL2 EXTENDERS
Before you begin-­be sure you have the following:
If there is a condition where data is not passing the first step is to check the link LEDs.
Next, make sure that one device is set to Master and the other to Remote.
Make sure the setting for duplex is the same on both the Master and Remote.
Since line noise may be contributing data transmission interference, check on what VDSL2 Profile is being used, as you may have to test the devices under Symmetrical data rates before returning to Asymmetrical data rates.
The cable connecting the devices may be degraded; perform tests with new cables in a bench test environment.

Select the DIP Swtich settings based on the VDSL2 Profile for the Master and Remote EIS2-EXTEND-A devices.
Ethernet Port (RJ-45): Use a straight through or cross-over cable. CAT 5 or higher
VDSL2 Port (RJ-11): Use a CAT 3 cable

STEP 1 Set the EIS2-EXTEND-A to CO mode or CPE mode from the DIP switch at the front panel. For Point to Point applications, one unit must be Master (CO mode) and the other one is Slave (CPE mode).
STEP 2 Connect the EIS2-EXTEND-A (CPE) with a regular Cat. 5 cable to the LAN port from a PC or another device on LAN.
STEP 3 Power on EIS2-EXTEND-A (CPE) by connecting the power adapter.
STEP 4 Connect the CPE and CO via a regular Cat. 5 cable or a telephone wire from each VDSL2 port.
STEP 5 Connect the EIS2-EXTEND-A (CO) with a regular Cat. 5 cable to the LAN port and then connect the other end of the RJ45 cable to the service equipment.
STEP 6 Power on EIS2-EXTEND-A (CO) by connecting the power adapter and then observe the status of VDSL2 link LED.
