Small flat screwdriver or pick, ¼” ratchet, 8mm, and 10mm sockets, T-20 Torx &
Disconnect negative battery terminal.
Disconnect the plastic breather tube from the front of the passenger side valve
cover
Unplug the mass air meter by squeezing the tab on the connector while pulling it
from the mass air meter.
Loosen the hose clamp that attaches the inlet hose to the throttle body.
Remove the nuts that hold the air filter box to the driver fender apron.
Remove the stock intake hose/air box assembly from the vehicle by lifting the air
box straight up and pulling the inlet hose away from the throttle body.
Remove the 2 Torx screws from the mass air meter and slide the meter out of the
stock inlet hose, and then install it into the BBK inlet pipe using the supplied screws
Place the supplied blue coupler hose over the throttle body opening and secure it
with one of the supplied hose clamps.
Loosely place the remaining hose clamp over the blue coupler but do not tighten it
at this time.
Place the supplied rubber grommet into the hole in the bottom of the inlet tube, then
insert the supplied plastic elbow fitting into the grommet.
The filter’s long silicone sleeve isolates the shield from the inlet tube.
Attach the supplied aluminum stud to the bottom of the shield using the supplied 1/4
-20 Phillips screw.
Slip the air filter through the shield. Place one of the supplied hose clamps over the
end of the filter then push the inlet pipe/mass air meter assembly into the filter
opening and tighten the hose clamp to secure the filter to the inlet pipe.
Drop the inlet pipe/mass air meter/ shield/ filter assembly into position by placing the
round hole in the shield over the stud in the fender apron and slipping the inlet pipe
into the blue coupler hose on the throttle body.
Tighten the hose clamp over the blue coupler hose to secure the inlet pipe to the
throttle body.
Place the original air box rear mounting nut through the tab on the back of the shield
and tighten it onto the factory stud.
Use the supplied rubber hose to connect the plastic fitting on the bottom of the BBK
cold air tube and the metal tube at the valve cover where you disconnected the
plastic tube from.
Re-connect the mass air meter, and negative battery terminal.
