Raise hood and disconnect (–) negative battery terminal.
Unclamp inlet duct from throttle body and mass-air sensor.
Carefully remove the (3) three vacuum connectors on the underside of the inlet duct
and remove duct from vehicle.
Remove mass-air sensor from the stock air-box assembly.
Remove stock air-box assembly from vehicle (this will require a strong tug upward to
free the pegs from the grommets on the bottom of the box where it attaches to the
vehicle).
Verify that the rubber grommets remained on the vehicle, if not remove them from
the bottom of the air box and reinstall them into the holes in the vehicle.
Attach the supplied aluminum studs to the bottom of the BBK filter shield, using
supplied bolts (they must face down-ward and will press down into the grommets on
the vehicle).
Attach mass-air sensor and air filter to the BBK filter shield using supplied hardware
and install the assembly into the rubber grommets on the vehicle.
Install supplied rubber grommets into the bottom of the BBK inlet casting and
transfer over the small vacuum nipple into the small grommet.
Loosely install both blue couplers and the corresponding hose clamps. Install the
inlet assembly onto the throttle body and mass air sensor.
Reconnect the vacuum hoses to the bottom of the inlet tube (use the supplied 3/4”
hose to couple the large plastic tube to the cast nipple on the inlet) then swap the air
temp sensor from the stock inlet to the BBK inlet.
Verify correct alignment on all items, check that all vacuum and electrical
connections are made then tighten all (4) four hose clamps and connect (–) negative
battery terminal.
