Frame
Our anodized aluminum frame holds the speaker system rigidly in the wall, reducing vibrations which cause distortion.
Grille
Our custom–perforated grille floats in front of the speaker, covering all hardware. It can be painted to match your walls.
On-Board Tuning
Electronic Pi Space tuning balances bass response throughout the room.
Speaker Baffle
We use a 11⁄4" medite baffle to isolate the speaker system from the wall. You’ll hear deeper, more articulate bass.
Drivers
Dual custom-built 8" bass units are shallow enough to fit into a standard stud bay, yet provide plenty of controlled output.
Installation
No back box is required for the JAM In-Wall Subwoofer, so you can mount it in existing walls.
By methodically measuring the effects of room size, building materials, furnishings, and speaker placement on music reproduction, we create products that sound great in any room of your home. We’re pioneers in this field—the first, and we believe, only speaker company to focus entirely on designing speakers mindful of the interaction of placement on room acoustics.
Only Bay Audio has on–board filters to optimize the speaker for its intended placement.
Room Modes
Reproducing balanced bass is perhaps the
trickiest task an installer faces. Bass frequen-
cies are affected by the size and shape of your

listening area, where you place the speaker,
and where you sit to listen. Every room creates
pockets of strong bass (usually along the walls
and in corners), and pockets where the bass
seems non-existent (unfortunately, usually at
the listening position). The electronically tun-
able JAM In-Wall Subwoofer overcomes this
problem when used in pairs. They “scatter”
these pockets for natural, tight bass response
throughout the room.
Mounting Options
The 500w PowerPack comes with a rack mount kit (two rack spaces). Our digital design runs cool, so no external fans are necessary.
500w PowerPack
Design
Our 500w external PowerPack includes controls for boundary, phase, and crossover point. The amplifier is a unique class A/B digital design for smooth output with low heat production.
