The CubeXL
High-impact theater L/C/R.
Product Description
The CubeXL is a bookshelf-sized, full-range
theater speaker. Able to produce bass to the
subwoofer regions, the CubeXL delivers high
impact in mid-sized theaters. We build the
cabinet with 3⁄4" MDF walls, and fully brace
the interior for superior midrange and bass
performance. Vocals are smooth, never
harsh. And bass performance will impress
you with its depth and clarity.
2-Channel Systems
CubeXL’s are perfect for use as near-field
monitors. Set on stands or on a bookshelf,
they fill a 5,000 ft3room with concert level
sound.
Theater Systems
Configure the front stage of a theater with
three CubeXL’s across the front and a
Bay Audio subwoofer. Running the CubeXL’s
full range delivers multiple sources of bass
for unmatched impact and performance.
CubeXL’s are efficient, and power handling
exceeds 200w per channel, making them
perfect for use with AV Receivers.

Boundary
Sound waves are tricky. They like to bounce
around objects they come in contact with.
Take a typical bookshelf speaker and place it
Crossover Networks
We build the CubeXL crossover
with high quality electrical components. We use a glass PCB
board and low distortion capacitors. For increased transient
response and clarity, we use
audiophile-grade 500v bypass
capacitors in both the tweeter and
bass unit circuit and 14 ga. internal cable for all wiring.
Cabinetry
We construct our cabinets from
3
⁄4" MDF and finish them in a
black ash vinyl veneer. The top
and bottom plates are machined
from
1
⁄4" brushed and hard
anodized aluminum. The plates
brace the cabinet and virtually
eliminate cabinet resonances.
On-Board Tuning
Boundary tuning helps overcome
common room acoustic problems.
Drivers
The CubeXL uses custom-built
drivers, including dual 1" softdome neodymium tweeters and
two impressive 6
1
⁄2" bass units
tuned for maximum bass output.
Terminal Plate
Our aluminum terminal plate has
gold-plated binding posts which
accept bare wire, spades, and
pins.
Dispersion Pattern
We developed a unique diagonal
dispersion pattern which helps
reduce reflections from side walls
at the listening position. Vocals
and on-screen effects are cleaner
with less distortion.
Orientation
The CubeXL works equally well
placed horizontally or vertically.
Grilles
Our custom formed grilles float in
front of the cabinet to eliminate
defraction. Grilles are permanently
attached to the cabinet to eliminate vibrations.

unit or bookshelf and its sound changes. Most
likely, vocal clarity degrades, and bass
becomes muddy. The CubeXL has a Boundary
control to “normalize” its placement, whether
it’s freestanding, on a shelf, in an AV cabinet,
or placed on stands.
