suitability or correct use for your
application, you should complete training
conducted by a person or organization
qualified in safe use and operation of this
equipment, including fuel/electrical handling
and safety.
• Do NOT operate the equipment in
flammable or explosive environments, such
as in the presence of flammable liquids,
gases or dust. The equipment may create
sparks or heat that may ignite flammable
substances.

these are connected and used properly.
Dust collection can reduce dust-related
hazards.
You CAN be KILLED or
SERIOUSLY INJURED if you do
not follow instructions.
General Personal Safety
• Wear appropriate protective equipment
when operating, servicing, or when in the
operating area of the equipment to help
protect from eye and ear injury, poisoning,

• Do NOT smoke near fuel or when
refuelling.
• Always shut off the engine before
refuelling.
• Do NOT refuel a hot engine.
• Open the fuel cap carefully to allow any
pressure build-up in the tank to release
slowly.
• Always refuel in well ventilated areas.
• Always check for fuel leakage. If fuel
leakage is found, do not start or run the
engine until all leaks are fixed.
General Carbon-Monoxide Safety
• Using a combustion engine indoors C AN
KILL IN MINUTES. Engine exhaust
contains carbon-monoxide – a poison you
cannot smell or see.

condition that may affect its operation. If
damaged, have the equipment repaired by
an authorised service centre or technician
before use.
• Prevent unintentional starting of the
equipment - ensure equipment and power
switches are in the OFF position before
connecting or moving equipment. Do not
carry equipment with hands or fingers
touching any controls. Remove any tools or
other items that are not a part of the
equipment from it before starting or
switching on.

equipment voltage requirements and are
disconnected before connecting or
disconnecting equipment.
• When wiring electrically powered
equipment, follow all electrical and safety
codes.
• Wherever possible, use a residual current
device (RCD).
• High voltage / high current power lines may
be present. Use extreme caution to avoid
contact or interference with power lines.
Electrical shock can be fatal.

1. Hold the plastic cover of the hex head holder, drill rod and the hexagonal
clamping plane and lubricate it as needed.
2. Pull out the holder and rotate it to 180 degrees to reset, install or remove all
kinds of drill heads (see photo to the right).
Fuel
● Do not use 100% pure petrol for fuel. ● Add fuel only in well-ventilated areas. ● Do not fill the
fuel tank fully or fill it up to the neck of the fuel tank. If any fuel spills off, promptly remove and
clean it up first before starting the jackhammer. ● After adding fuel, close the fuel tank cap securely.
Recommended fuel mix and fuel type is 25:1 (25 parts fuel to 1 part two stroke oil) and Regular Unleaded 95
+RON, respectively.
The Baumr-AG petrol powered jackhammer is a full commercial grade unit, which utilises the highest spec motor
and mechanical components, combined with a high tensile reduction gear set. This is one of the few
jackhammers you are likely to find with these specs.
Huge torque from the perfectly matched 49.3cc power unit allows for maximum demolition force far
beyond its lesser electric counter parts.
•
The genuine Baumr-AG pro-series
•
Huge torque - 50 joules / 1500bpm
•
Full 3.5hp force (most powerful on the market)
•
Accurate thumb throttle control
•
Baumr's famous series II Vibe-FlexTM rubber hand grip
•
High tensile gear set for maximum reliability
•
Toughened crankshaft, ball bearing construction
•
Requires very little maintenance
•
Suitable for working on site without power or in wet conditions
Starting
1. When you first start your jackhammer, press the fuel primer bulb repeatedly until the carburettor is filled with
fuel.
2. Close the air vent when the engine is cool. You can open the air vent only when the engine is hot.
3. Hold the handles using one of your hands and quickly pull the pull start for about 50cm with the other hand.
Do not let go of the pull start while you are repeatedly pulling it. Hold it and put it down gently to protect the
starter.
4. Open the air vent completely when the engine has started.
Running
1. After the engine has started up, warm it up in low speed first for about 2 to 3 minutes.
2. When the engine is warm enough, use the jackhammer according to the required impact energy of the job.
NOTE: For the first 24 hours, work load should be light at first. Do not accelerate the engine quickly if you
have just lube it with petrol.
3. Select a medium speed first to run the engine, pulling the control between the scales of 3 – 4.
4. Do not use the jackhammer in high speed operation for prolonged periods of time.
Stopping the Jackhammer
1. Put the switch to the ‘0’ position and let the engine run idle for 3 – 5 minutes.
2. Press the red STOP button to stop the jackhammer.
Check the air filter regularly. Dust blockage on the air filter cover can reduce the engine’s power and can shorten
the engine’s service life. If the air filter is very dirty, clean it with a soft, clean cloth that has been mixed with a
mild detergent in warm water. After cleaning the air filter and letting it air-dry, lubricate it with a few drops of oil
and then re-install it in the jackhammer. The air filter should be replaced if it is already damaged, particularly if
the environment is very dirty/dusty and could shorten its maintenance cycle.
Fuel Filter
If the fuel filter is clogged, it will slow down the jackhammer’s speed and force impact.
1. Open the tank lid with a metallic hook, then take out the fuel filter and clean it.
2. When cleaning the fuel filter, please also clean the fuel tank.
Carburettor
The fuel tank and carburettor generally have left-over residual oil on them. If a prolonged period has passed, the
residual oil can coagulate and cause blockades to the oil line, causing the engine to not work. Therefore, when
the jackhammer is not used for more than a week, ensure that you completely drain out the oil.
To drain out the oil, press the carburettor fuel primer bulb repeatedly.
To ensure normal operations of the engine, the spark plug’s gap should be moderately spaced. Use a wire brush
to remove any sediments, if needed. A reasonable spark plug gap is between 0.5 – 0.7mm.
Muffler
Use a screwdriver to remove dirt/debris on the muffler and on the exhaust.
Centrifugal Oil Cup
Open the gear box cover to check on the centrifugal oil cup and add oil regularly, as needed.
Cylinder Heat Sink
Remove dust and debris regularly to ensure proper cooling of the cylinder. The jackhammer is air-cooled, if
dust/debris is allowed to accumulate on the heat sink, it will directly affect the cooling rate of the cylinder.
