INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS
Before Using Your Wine Cooler
Clean the interior surface with lukewarm water using a new soft cloth.
Before connecting the appliance to your mains power supply, you should let it stand upright for approximately 8 hours. This will reduce the possibility of the refrigerant not settling properly, if it has been disturbed whilst being handled during the transportation process.
Remove the exterior and interior packaging, including the protective foam on the door panels.
Installation of Your Wine Cooler
Place your appliance on a floor that is strong enough to support the appliance when it is fully loaded. To level your appliance, adjust the legs at the front of the appliance.
Locate the appliance away from direct sunlight and sources of heat (E.g. stoves, heaters, radiators, etc.). Direct sunlight may affect the acrylic coating and heat sources may increase electrical consumption. Ambient temperatures below the climate classification stated on the rating plate plate may also cause the appliance not to perform properly.
Allow a space of 5 inches between the back and sides of the appliance, this will allow proper air circulation and helps to keep the compressor cool.

Before using your Baumatic wine cooler
Do not store food in your wine cooler, as the interior temperature will not be cool enough to prevent spoilage. The outside of the glass door may suffer from condensation during the summer or if it is installed in an area of high humidity. You can simply wipe the condensation away with a cloth.
IMPORTANT SAFEGUARDS
We recommend that you install the wine cooler in a place where the ambient temperature is between +16 and +32 degrees centigrade. If the ambient temperature falls outside of this temperature range then it may cause the interior temperature to fluctuate. The recommended temperatures for chilling wine are as follows:-
OPERATING YOUR WINE COOLER
Before starting the wine cooler, ensure that the cabinet is level. This will eliminate the possibility of vibration when the wine cooler is in use.
SETTING THE TEMPERATURE CONTROLS
The wine cooler has two cooling compartments (upper & lower) which are independently controlled. To set the temperature you should do as follows:-
1. Connect the power cord to a properly grounded outlet. The temperature preset at factory of each compartment is: 12 C (54 F)-Upper Compartment 6 C (43 F)-Lower Compartment
2. Set the desired cooling temperature by pressing the button or these are under the Upper Compartment/Lower Compartment text on the control panel.
When you push the buttons for the first time, the LCD readout will show the previously set temperature. The temperature will increase by 1 degree centigrade
if you push the upward arrow ( ) once. Conversely the temperature will decrease by 1 degree C by pushing (the downward arrow) once.
If you have altered the display so that it shows in farenheit, the temperature will increase and decrease in one farenheit steps, rather than one centrigrade steps.
Red wines: 15-18 degrees centigrade Dry/White Wines 10-15 degrees centigrade Rose Wines 9-10 degrees centigrade Sparkling Wines 6-9 degrees centigrade Beverage 3-6 degrees centigrade
Using your Baumatic wine cooler
Plug the appliance into an exclusive, properly installed and earthed wall socket. Do not under any circumstances cut or remove the earth wire
from the power cable. Any questions concerning the electrical connection should be directed towards a certified electrician or the Baumatic Technical
Department. You must attach the door handle to the left hand side of the frame before
you start to use the wine cooler.
Improper use of the earthed plug can result in the risk of electrical shock. If the power cable is damaged you should have it replaced by an authorised Baumatic engineer.
Avoid locating the appliance in a location that gets damp. Too much moisture in the air will cause frost to form more quickly on the evaporator.

Upper Compartment: The temperature setting can be adjusted between 10 C - 18 C (50 F - 64.4 F) ; Lower Compartment: The temperature setting can be adjusted between 3 C - 10 C (37.4 F - 50 F).
The temperature of the bottles may fluctuate, depending on whether they are located in the upper/middle or lower section.
3. To view the set temperature at anytime, press the corresponding or button, the set temperature will temporarily flash in the LCD display for 5 seconds.
Flashing LCD = Set Temperature Steady LCD = Cabinet Temperature
4. This unit has the option to display the temperature in either Celsius or Fahrenheit. To change this setting, press the button marked C/F.
5. You can turn the interior lights on or off by pressing the button with a light
bulb on it. The interior lights are LED lights and low energy bulbs (only 0.25W for each one) and low heat. However they should not be left on for long periods of time, only whilst you are looking inside of the wine cooler.
6. Your wine cooler is designed with an Auto-Cycle defrost system. During the Off-Cycle the refrigerated surface of the wine cooler (interior rear wall) will defrost automatically. The defrost water is channelled into a drain pan which is located at the back of the wine cooler on the top of the compressor, from where it will evaporate.
Shelves
The shelving is chromed, so they can accommodate different sized bottles, they can be moved up or down by sliding them out of their grooves. The original shelf positions are designed to accommodate the maximum number of bottles.
Wine Rack
There is an additional wine rack at bottom section of the unit where you can store up to 6 wine bottles. This rack is removable for cleaning purposes.
Using your Baumatic wine cooler
NOTE: When you use the wine cooler for the first time or restart the wine cooler after it has been turned off for a long time. There could be a few degrees variance between the temperature that you have selected and the temperature
that the LCD shows that the inside of the cabinet is running at. This is normal and the wine cooler will take a few hours to get down to temperature. Once this happens, operation will return back to normal.
There is also a 2 to 3 C variance between the upper and lower shelves of each wine compartment. Therefore, if you have set the wine cellar for red wine only and the temperature reads 16 C and you want to place a mixture of white and red wines in the appliance, you should place the white wine bottles on the lower shelves and the red wine bottles on the upper shelves.

CHANGING THE LIGHT BULBS
Note: All parts removed during this process must be saved and refitted after the bulb has been replaced. Before removing the LED light, unplug the wine cooler from your mains supply.
Failure to do so could result in electrical shock or personal injury. You should use an LED bulb which is of the same type as the bulb
originally supplied with the appliance.
Make sure that the wine cooler remains in the upright position during transportation.
Tape the doors shut.
Turn the levelling feet fully up to the base to avoid damage.
Securely tape down all loose items inside of your wine cooler.
Remove all of the bottles.
Moving Your Wine Cooler
During long absences, remove all of the bottles; unplug your wine cooler, clean it, and leave the door open slightly to avoid the possible formation of condensation or mould.
Vacation Time
Most power failures are corrected within a few hours and should not affect the temperature of your wine cooler, as long as you minimize the
number of times that the door is opened. If the power is going to be off for a longer period of time, you should take steps to protect the contents of your wine cooler.
Power Failure
Maintenance of Your Wine Cooler
Unplug the wine cooler, and remove all bottles. Wash the inside with a mixture of warm water and baking soda. The solution should be approximately 2 tablespoons of baking soda to one quart of water. Wooden shelves do not require cleaning. The outside of the wine cooler should be cleaned with a mild detergent and warm water. It may also be necessary to periodically wipe the bottom part of the storage area, as the wine cooler is designed to retain humidity, and condensation may collect there.
