TEA KICK v1.0 Brief Assembly guide
This is a brief guide
for more advanced
users. If you are a
beginner please look
for the detailed guide
on our website.
Start by populating
and soldering the
boards with the
shortest and smallest
parts. Taking care of
the values, polarity
and alignment of the components.
Note: The crossed out resistor value at the lower part of the board is 1M.
Note: The protective fuses look quite similar to ceramic capacitors but are placed in the
blank rectangular markings on the board.
To ensure that all the connectors are properly aligned, solder them with the two boards
connected and screwed together. The same goes for the UI components, solder them with
the front panel secured in place.
The finished bottom board should look like the one to the left.

The LED long leg (+) is facing upwards. Also the notch on
led and circuit board should match.
Note: the LED and Switch have to be raised a bit off the
PCB in order to reach through the front panel.
The assembled top board should look like on the images to
the left.
Before connecting anything, make sure that your system is
disconnected from power and double check the polarity of
the ribbon cable, the red cable should match the -12V rail
both on the module and on the bus board!
