- If the am plifi er is t o be moun ted vertic ally be s ure t hat it is i n a place wher e adequ ate air will f low
along t he leng th of i ts heat sink fins fo r cooli ng.
- NEVER m ount th e amp lifie r up side down , this wi ll ca use the h eat to rise ba ck into t he amplifi er

Precautions: Read First!
- Be sure t o mount t he am plifi er to a strong , solid s urf ace whi ch will not gi ve way un der the stre ss of a
sudde n stop or a cci dent.
- Make su re that t he mo untin g screws wil l not pen etr ate the g as tank, bra ke and fu el lines, wi ring or
other c ritic al pa rts of yo ur car when in stall ed.
-N EVER op erate the am plifi er wi thout t he proper po wer and g round wire 1 0 gauge m ini mum.
- NEVER o perat e the a mplif ier withou t prope r fus ing. Fu se holder mu st be loc ated with in 0 .5 mete rs
from th e batte ry. This fu se is to prote ct the car not t he elec tronics. I n case of a s hor t, the fu se will
blow in stead o f the w ire bur ning up. Usi ng othe r than the rec ommended f use rat ings at the ba ttery
and at th e ampli fie r may cau se damage to t he ampl ifi er and wi ll void your w arran ty.
- Do not ru n wirin g und ernea th or outsid e the car s ince expos ure to the ele ments m ay cause the
insul ation t o det erior ate rapidl y, res ultin g in short-c ircui ts an d/or in termitte nt oper ati on.

in the ho t sun or ex pos ed to a ver y cold winte r's day )th e ampli fier may go in to prot ection mod e and
shut off. Le ave the u nit o ff until the a mbien t tem perat ure return s to norm al.
- The amplif ier ope rates with a ny vehicle u sing a 12 v olt negati ve grou nd sy stem. I f you are not su re of
the typ e of elec tri cal sys tem in your ve hicle , con sult yo ur authori zed dea ler or quali fied me cha nic.
- NEVER g round t he sp eaker l eads and NEV ER allo w the speake r leads to com e in cont act whit eac h
other. S peake r wir e shoul d be 18 gauge or l arger.
- Remot e turn on w ire m ust be sw itched by th e radio d oes n ot have a r emote turn o n or ante nna output ,
conne ct to wir e tha t has a pos itive 12 vol ts when t he ke y is turn ed to the acce ssory.

Installation
MOUNT ING:
1. After r eadin g pre cauti on, decide w here yo u are going to i nstall the u nit. Als o, see Fig.1 .
2. Once t he loca tio n has bee n determin ed, pla ce th e ampli fier in posi tion. U sing a felt ti p pen or pe nci l
mark th e four ho les t o be dril led for moun ting. N EVE R use the a mplifier a s a templ ate for dril ling.
It is ver y easy to d ama ge the am plifier su rface i n man ner.
3. Remo ve ampl ifi er. Dril l four 3.5 m/m . Diame ter h oles in to mountin g surfa ce on steel pa nel.
If you wa nt moun tin g the MDF o r wood panel , drill f our 3 .0m/m d iameter ho les int o mounting s urfac e.
4. If pos sible , tes t the sys tem operat ing bef ore f inal mo unting of th e ampli fier.
5. Moun t the amp lif ier usi ng the suppl ied 4 sel f thr eadin g screws.

Input Connections
This am plifi er wi ll acce pt low level i nputs . Low l evel is t he same as lin e level o r preempt le vel.
Low lev el sign al is c arrie d through RC A cables . It is prefer red to use low l evel in puts to the am plifi er if
the hea d unit is e qui pped wi th the low lev el outp uts.
Low lev el/li ne in put-c onnect RCA ca bles fr om head unit , or other sig nal pro cessor, to th e line le vel
input o n the amp lif ier. See F ig.2 syste m wirin g dia grams .
Power Connections
It is imp ortan t to ha ve good q uality pow er and gr oun d conne ctions. Re membe r, to complet e an
elect rical c irc uit, th e ground con necti on is j ust as im portant as t he posi tive power c onnec tio n. Befo re
any pow er conn ect ions ar e made, disc onnec t the g round c able at the ba ttery.
When th e power s upp ly lead . Memory bac kup lea d or ground le ad are ex ten ded, us e a 5mm (AW G5)
or larg er auto mot ive gra de cable whi ch will w ithstand f riction an d heat to s afe guard ag ainst f ire s
occur ring as a r esu lt of sho rt-circu iting .
Groun d-Con nec t the pro per gauge gr ound wi re to the ampl ifier "GND " termi nal. Locat e the pos iti on
on the ch assis o f the c ar to whi ch the ampli fier is t o be gr ound. The su rface m ust b e free fr om any
paint o r dir. This can b e accompli shed wi th a sm all gri nding bit or w ire whe el. N OTE: Do n ot ground
ampli fier to t he "f rame" o f the car, the fr ame on mo st ca rs and tr ucks is not gr ounde d to the chass is
(body ). Sold er or c lamp ri ng termina l to grou nd wi re. Pre trial the pr epped c hassis met al to bol t the
groun d ring te rmi nal wit h nut, bolt an d lock wa shers. Ins ulate ment al and co nnector wi th pain t or

groun d the hea d uni t and oth er audio ele ctron ics in the sam e location .
Remot e Turn-o n-C onnec t smaller li ght gau ge wire to "RE MOTE" term inal of a mplifier a nd to rem ote /
anten na turn -on o utput o r "remote am plifi er" o f head un it. If head un it is not e quipped wi th a remo te/
anten na outp ut, l ocate a w ire that is co ntrol led b y the acc essory pos ition o f the key. It is impor tant to
have th e ampli fie r turn off wit h the radio or k ey. If t he ampl ifier rema ins on, t he re sult wi ll most like ly
be a dead b atter y.

Posit ive-C onn ect the p roper size w ire to th e amp lifie r "B+" termi nal of am plifier. Ru n wire to w ard s the
fuse ho lder th at is n o great er then 0.5 me ters fr om th e batte ry. Re member, the f use is to p rotect the
safet y of the ca r in th e case of a s hort. Conn ect fus e hol der to ba ttery, however, d o not ins tall fuse at
this ti me.
