Power ON / OFF
Hold [ ] about 0.5 sec to power radio. While power ON, hold [ ]
about 1.5 sec to turn power OFF.
Transmitting / Receiving
While holding [ PTT ] , speak to the microphone area. LED glows
red during transmission. To receive, release [ PTT ] . LED glows
green when receiving.
* When speaking, keep about 5~10 cm from microphone area
slowly and clearly.
Volume Adjustment
Momentarily press repeatedly on [ ] to adjust volume louder.
Momentarily press repeatedly on [ ] to adjust volume lower.
Press and hold [ ] or [ ] to swiftly adjust volume.
Do adjustment as you need.
* For external mic / speak user, adjust volume, starting from lowest
level.
Channels Adjustment
Press [ CH ] , while Channels icon blinks, press [ ] or [ ] to
select channels. Press [ PTT ] to store and exit the selection mode.

CTCSS / DCS Adjustment
Press [ P1 ] , the LCD will show ---- press [ ] or [ ] to select
CTCSS or DCS (CTCSS 01 to 52 DCS n 01 to 83 DCS i 01 to 83)
Press and hold [ ] or [ ] to swiftly adjust.

LCD Backlit ON / OFF
Temporarily press side key to turn backlight ON. Temporarily press side key again to turn backlight OFF or it will automatically turn OFF after 5 sec lighting.
Monitoring
Hold on side key for about 1 sec to open the speaker. In the meantime, If any under is using under the same frequency even with different CTCSS, the voice will be heard. (LED glows green) Monitor is used for following purposes. To receive weak signal due to distance or for signal intermittently received. To receive all signals on same channel even with different CTCSS / DCS. Press [ PTT ] to exit Monitoring mode.
Keypad lock / Unlock
Hold on [ CH ] for about 3 sec till shows on the screen to confirm keypad is locked. To unlock keypad ,hold on [ CH ] again for about 3 sec till clear from the screen. When keypad lock is enabled, volume control and program features are locked to prevent accidental function changes.

Installation on Battery

To Attach the Battery
Place battery pack into battery compartment, when the click sound of switch, it will lock into compartment.
To Remove the Battery
Holding radio in one hand, push down battery latch on the button. Slide battery pack backwards until the battery is apart from the radio unit.
