Operating instructions
Flat plug with handle
Item no. 1526582
Intended Use
The at plug is used to connect devices to a grounded power socket. Thanks to its very at
design the plug requires only little space. Thus, you can still make use of mains sockets, which are located behind furniture, for example (or you can place furniture very close to the wall). Take note of the permissible cable type listed in the chapter “Technical Data”.
For safety and approval reasons, you may not convert and/or alter the product. If you use the
product for purposes other than those described above, you may inict damage on it. Furthermore, an improper use involves risks such as short-circuits, re, electric shocks, etc. Please
read the operating instructions carefully and do not discard them. If you pass the product on to a third party, please hand over these operating instructions as well.

Explanation of symbols
The lightning symbol inside a triangle is used when there is a potential risk of per-
sonal injury, such as electric shock.
An exclamation mark in a triangle indicates important instructions in these operating
instructions which absolutely have to be observed.
The arrow symbol is used when specic tips and information on the operation are
provided.
Safety Instructions

Furthermore, in such cases, the warranty/guarantee will be null and void.
a) General information
Attention, important note!
Only people with relevant electro-technical knowledge and experience should carry out the installation! *)
If it is not installed properly, you risk:
• your own life
• the life of the person using the electrical system. If it is not installed properly, you risk severe damage to property, e.g., by re. You face the risk of being held liable for personal injury and material damage. Contact an Electrician!
*) Specialist knowledge required for the installation:
In particular, the following expertise is required in regards to the installation:
• the applicable “5 safety rules”: Switch off power; secure against switching back on; determine voltage-free status; earthing and short-circuiting; cover or fence off nearby live parts
• Choose appropriate tools, meters and, if necessary, personal protective equipment
• Evaluation of the measurement results
• IP protection types
• Installation of the electrical installation material
• Type of mains supply network (TN system, IT system, TT system) and the connection conditions that follow from them (classical earthing, protective earthing, required additional measures, etc.)
If you do not have the expertise required for the installation and the connec-
tion, do not install and connect it yourself but ask a qualied technician.
The unauthorised conversion and/or modication of the product is not permissible for safety and approval reasons.
• The product is not a toy and should be kept out of the reach of children! There is danger of a life-threatening electric shock!
Nevertheless, take special caution when children are around. Children cannot recognise the danger arising from the incorrect use of electrical devices. There is a risk of a life-threatening electric shock!
• Please handle the product with care. The product can be damaged if crushed, struck or dropped, even from a low height.
• Also observe the safety and operating instructions of any other devices that are connected to this product.
• If you have doubts about how the product should be operated or how to safely
connect it, consult a qualied technician.
• Maintenance, adjustment and repair work may be carried out only by an expert or a specialised workshop.

b) Connection
• The product is designed according to protection class I. You may only connect a power cord with protective ground.
• The product is suitable only for operation with the mains voltage.
• During installation, all poles must be disconnected from the mains voltage via a cut-off device (e.g., RCD).
• Route the mains cable so that it will not get pinched or kinked or damaged by sharp edges or exposed to mechanical stress in any other manner.
c) Operation
• Never plug in, unplug or operate the product when your hands are damp or wet. There is a risk of a life-threatening electric shock!
• Never pull the power adaptors from the mains socket by pulling the cable. Fold out
the bracket to pull out the at plug connector.
• Protect the product from exposure to extreme temperatures, direct sunlight, strong vibrations and solvents. Never expose the product to mechanical stress.
• Voltage-free only, if the plug is unplugged.
• The product is only suitable for use in temperate, not tropical, climates.
• Never overload the product. For max. allowable electrical output, see chapter “Technical Data”.
• If safe operation is no longer possible, take the device out of service and secure
2
it against unintended use. Safe operation is no longer possible, if the product:
- has visible damage,
- has tipped over and water got into it,
- no longer functions properly,
- has been stored under adverse ambient conditions for an extended period of time or
- has been exposed to considerable strain during transport.
• Do not use the product when it is damaged (e.g., housing or power cable). There is a risk of a life-threatening electric shock!
In this case, dispose of the product in an environmentally correct manner.
Connection and Assembly
Step 1:
Isolate the three wires (L, N, PE) as shown in the picture (green/yellow cable = PE/protective earth; brown cable = L/phase; blue cable = N/neutral).
Step 2:
Unloosen the two screws (1) until you can remove the upper cover with the bracket (2).
1
Step 3:
Inside the at plug connector are two
mounting brackets for strain relief. One
sits loose in the at plug housing, while
the other is already screwed on tightly
in the at plug housing.
Important!
Remove the bracket of the strain relief which sits loose in the housing.
Undo the two screws of the second mounting bracket in the at connector and remove it.

Operation
The fold-out U-shaped bracket serves as a pull-out support. Fold out the bracket by 90°, now you can easily remove the plug from the mains socket. Fold the bracket back.
Use the bracket only to pull out the plug; do not use to plug it in. If you do this, the
bracket may get loose.
It is easy to clip the bracket back into the openings of the at plug, if the bracket has
come loose by accident. In such a case, ensure that the bracket is properly aligned
to the at plug connector. The small notch in the bracket must point towards the
connector.
Care and Cleaning
• Always disconnect the product from the power supply before cleaning, unplug it from the mains socket.
• Use a dry, lint-free cloth to clean the product.
• Never use abrasive cleaning agents, rubbing alcohol or other chemical solutions, since these could damage the housing or even impair operation.
Disposal
Electronic devices are recyclable material and do not belong in the household
waste. Dispose of an unserviceable product in accordance with the relevant statutory regulations.

Fasten the three wires (L, N, PE) to the corresponding screw terminals, see image on the right.
Attach the power cord using the strain relief bracket.
Depending on the type of cord use the correct mounting bracket, otherwise
the strain relief will not x the cord
properly in place.
The remaining second bracket is not required; do not put back into the at plug con-
nector.
