Keeping the water hot
• After boiling, you can keep the water hot with the keep-warm function. Set the
keep-warm switch at “I“. The blue control light will turn on. It will turn off only
when you set the switch at “O”.
Adding water
WARNING! Risk of injury!
Hot steam may release when you lift the lid to fill in the hot water container.
It may cause burns to your hands, arms and face. First, leave the appliance
for a few minutes to cool down and only then carefully lift the lid.
• When there is only little water left in the container you can add more fresh water
after the appliance has cooled down. Lift the lid and add fresh water to the
container through the holes in the cover.
NOTE!
The appliance is equipped with over-heating protection that will be initiated
when there is no water in the container (or when there is only little water left).
When the protection has been initiated unplug the appliance and leave it for a
few minutes to cool down before refilling.
Drawing the water
• Place a suitable container (cup, glass, teapot,
etc.) under the tap. Draw the water from the
container, carefully turn the faucet forward.
• After you have drawn the required amount of

Tea preparation
Tea varies, but all tea comes from one type of bush, called Camelllia Sinensis. The tea
may be black or green. The tea brew is not the same as tea-like infusions, such as
herbal tea or fruit tea.
Tea brewing process varies. To maintain valuable ingredients and taste of tea, steeping
process requires different temperature of hot water and different time depending on tea.
Green tea prefers hot water at 85 °C. Follow the instructions on tea packaging.
Black tea
• You can warm-up the teapot by placing it on the cover already when the water is
ready to the boil. Carefully lift the lid from the water container.
• Bring the water to boil
• Remove the teapot from the container to prepare the tea esencji.
WARNING! Risk of injury!
Hot steam releases! Water may drop from the teapot as a result of
condensation. Use a heat-resistant kitchen towel!
• Place the supplied strainer in the teapot.
• Place tea leaves in the strainer (approx. 1 teaspoon per cup) or tea bag directly in
the teapot (approx. 1 tea bag per 1 – 2 cups).
• Pour boiling water over the tea using the tap.
• Fill up the teapot with max. 0.6 litre of water.
• The more loose tea leaves or tea bags with less water in the teapot, the stronger
tea brew (a true tea drinker prefers a tea brew made from exactly 2.86 g per cup).
The best is to use a little more leaves to obtain tea concentrate.
NOTE!
You can adjust strength of tea brew to your individual taste. Take into
account required steeping time given on tea packaging. Tea blends vary.
- 35 -
Page 17
• Place again the teapot with the tea brew on the cover of the water container. The
steam from the water container will maintain the temperature of the tea brew in the
teapot at the level required for perfect brewing.
• Once the required time has elapsed remove the strainer (teabags) from the teapot.
• Pour the desired amount of the tea brew from the teapot to your cup (glass) and add
enough water from the water container. In this way you can adjust the strength or
taste of your tea to your individual preferences.
• You can leave the teapot placed on the water container and leave the appliance with
the keep-warm function on to maintain the temperature of the hot tea brew and water,
and you can help yourself to perfect tea at any time.
Green tea
• You can also prepare green tea using the Samovar. Boiling water is not recommended to prepare green tea because its taste may become bitter. Depending on tea
blends, the required water temperature ranges from 50 °C to 70 C. Most green tea
blends give the best taste at approx. 70 °C. The hi gher quality of green tean, the
lower the required temperature. High quality tea requires hot water at 50 °C - 60 °C.
• Ordinary green tea requires 1 - 3 min for steeping, while high quality green tea
only approx. 1 - 1½ min. With teabags, follow instructions of the producer.
• Generally, when preparing tea, use less green tea than black tea. Approx. 1 g per
100 ml or 1 flat teaspoon per 200 ml of water. Adjust strength of the tea according
to your taste.
• Bring water to boil in the water container. The appliance will switch off automatically.
Let the water cool down (approx 5 -6 minutes).
• Pour the hot water from the water container over the tea leaves or tea bags and
place the teapot again on the cover of the water container to allow the tea to brew.
Then, follow the instructions on how to prepare black tea.

Herbal infusions
CAUTION!
Always use boiling water to make herbal infusions, fruit tea, Rоoibos or spice
infusions and steep it for at least 5 – 10 minutes. That is the only way to
prepare the drink safe to your health.
• For herbal infusions, both from loose leaf and tea bags, there is one rule to follow,
i.e. to use boiling water and steep it for a required time. There might be germs, like
salmonella, present in herbal mix, that are killed in high temperature. When not
following this rule, the germs may constitute risk to your health, particularly for
children.
• Do not use lukewarm water to prepare herbal infusions only to reduce time required
for its preparation. Any germs present in herbal infusions may constitute risk to your
health, in particular in case of babies, young children and anyone of poor health.
Do to leave herbal infusions for long before drinking.
Boiling water kills germs, but not spores present in herbal tea. They may germinate in
warm water.
