This instruction manual contains information about installation, operation and
maintenance of the appliance and constitutes an important source of information
and reference guide. The knowledge of all operational and safety instructions
included in this manual is a prerequisite for safe and proper handling of the
appliance. Additionally, accident prevention, occupational health and safety, and
legal regulations in force in the area the appliance is used apply.
Before you start using the appliance, especially before turning it on, read this

1 Safety
This appliance has been manufactured in accordance with technical standards
currently in force. However, the appliance may be a source of hazards if used
improperly or contrary to its intended purpose. All persons using the appliance must
consider information included in this instruction manual and observe safety
instructions.

1.2Safety instructions
Electrical Current
• Too high a mains voltage or incorrect installation may cause electric shock.
• The appliance may be connected only if data on the rating plate correspond with
the mains voltage.
• To avoid short-circuit, the appliance should be kept dry.
• If there are malfunctions during operation, disconnect the appliance from the
power supply.
• Do not touch the appliance’s plug with wet hands.
• Never take hold of the appliance if it has fallen into water. Immediately
disconnect the appliance from the power supply.
• Any repairs or housing opening may be carried out by professionals and
relevant workshops only.
• Do not transport the appliance, holding it by the power cord.
• Do not allow the power cord to come into contact with heat sources or sharp
edges.
• Do not bend, pinch nor knot the power cord.

Flammable Materials
• Never subject the appliance to contact with high temperature sources, e.g.:
oven, furnace, open flame, heat generating devices, etc.
• To avoid fire hazard, clean the appliance regularly.
• Do not cover the appliance with, e.g., aluminium foil or cloths.
• Use the appliance only with materials designated to this end and with correct
temperature settings. Materials, groceries and left-overs remaining in the
appliance may catch fire.
• Never use the appliance near flammable or inflammable materials, e.g.: petrol,
spirit, alcohol, etc. High temperature triggers evaporation of these materials,
and, as a result of contact with sources of ignition, an explosion may occur.
• In case of fire, disconnect the appliance from the power supply before
attempting suitable fire-extinguishing actions.
• Never attempt to extinguish fire with water if the appliance is connected to the
power supply. Following extinction of fire, ensure sufficient fresh air inflow.

Hot Surfaces
• Surfaces of the appliance become hot during operation. Burning hazard! High

2.1Liability and Warranty
All information and instructions in this instruction manual account for legal
regulations in force, current level of technical engineering knowledge as well as our
expertise and experience, developed over the years. If special models or additional
options are ordered, or state-of-the-art technical solutions were implemented, the
actual scope of delivery of the appliance may, in some circumstances, differ from
descriptions and numerous drawings in this instruction manual.
The manufacturer is not liable for any damages nor faults stemming from:
– failure to observe instructions,
– unintended use,
– technical alterations introduced by the user,
– usage of unapproved spare parts.
We reserve the right to introduce technical modifications to the product, intended for

Transport, Packaging and Storage

3 Transport, Packaging and Storage
3.1Delivery Check
Immediately upon reception, check the delivery for completeness and possible
shipping damage. In the case of visible transport damage refuse to accept the
appliance or accept it conditionally. Mark and note the scope of damage in shipping
documents/consignment list of the shipping company and lodge a complaint.
Concealed damage must be reported immediately upon its discovery, as
compensation claims may only be filed within applicable time limits.
If you find that parts or accessories missing, please contact our Customer Service
Department.
3.2 Packaging
Do not dispose of the appliance cardboard box. It may be used to store the
appliance when relocating or when shipping the appliance to our service point in the
case of any damages.
The packaging and its elements are made of recyclable materials. Particularly,
these are: plastic films and bags, cardboard box.
When disposing of the packaging, observe applicable domestic regulations.
Recyclable packaging materials should be recycled.
3.3 Storage
Leave the packaging closed until installation of the appliance; observe external
indications concerning method of placing and storage. Store the packaging in the
following conditions only:
– in closed rooms;
– in dry and dust-free surrounding;
– away from aggressive agents;
– in a location protected against sunlight;
– in a location protected against mechanical shocks.
In the case of extended storage (over three months), make sure you check the
condition of the packaging and the parts regularly. If needed, replace the packaging
with a new one.

4.2 Functions of the Appliance
The hot display is designed to keep prepared food warm at the set temperature
from 30°C to 110°C for the desired period of time.
The individual equipment with GN containers and shelf offers tailor-made use of the
hot display. The hinged front glass and removable condensate drawer allow easy

CAUTION!
Choking hazard!
Prevent children from accessing package materials, for instance: plastic
bags and EPS.
Unpacking / Positioning
• Unpack the appliance, remove all external and internal packaging elements and
shipment safeguards.
• If the appliance is covered with a protective film, remove it. Remove the film
slowly, so no glue residues are left. Remove any glue residues with the use of a
suitable solvent.
• Be careful not to damage the rating plate and warning labels fixed on the
appliance.
• Never place the appliance in humid or wet environment.
• Place the appliance in a way making the connections easily accessible, so that
they may be quickly disconnected if such a need arises.
• The appliance should be placed on surfaces that are:
– even, with sufficient bearing capacity, resistant to water, dry and resistant
to high temperatures;
– sufficiently large, and thus enabling usage of the appliance with no
problems;
– easily accessible;
– well ventilated.
• Leave at least 20 cm clearance from flammable walls and items.

Power supply connection
• Verify if technical data of the appliance (see rating plate) correspond with the
local electric power grid specification.
• Connect the appliance to a single, properly grounded mains socket with
protective contact. Do not connect the appliance to a multi-socket.
• The power cord should be laid in a way preventing anyone from threading on it
or tripping against it.
• When the electrical connection is established, check that the supply voltage
during appliance operation does not deviate by ±10% from the nominal value
indicated on the rating plate.
• For your own safety, the appliance must be correctly earthed.
• In accordance with current regulations, a multi-pole switch is required for the
installation of the appliance, which must be located between the appliance itself
and the mains voltage, with a contact separation of at least 3 mm per pole. This
switch must be easily accessible.
• The connection cable used is type H07RN-F 3Gx2.5 mm² (305066+305068) or
3Gx1.5 mm² (305067), length of approx. 2.8 metres. If a power cord is replaced,
a cable with the same or better characteristics must be used.
• Replacement of a damaged power cord must be carried out by a qualified
technician.
• The plug must be easily accessible for quick disconnection of the appliance from
the power supply if the need arises.

During operation, the housing, glass panes and shelves become very
hot and remain hot for a while after switching the appliance off.
Do not touch hot components of the appliance during operation nor
immediately after switching it off.
Cookware and containers heat up considerably during operation.

5.2 Operation

• Insert the bottom cover into the appliance. The cover acts as a spacer between t he heating element and left-over food tr ay.
• Carefully insert the connection box with th e heating element at the back edge of th e appliance. A pin in the bottom part of t he connection box must enter a hol e in the main appliance. Next, set the con nection box in the right position.

Before Use
1. Before use, clean the appliance, observing instructions in section 6 'Cleaning'.
2. Dry the appliance thoroughly.
3. Re-attach the condensate drawer in the appliance.

Following current guidelines, the expected
storage temperature for warm food is
between +60°C and +65°C.

Appliance Start-up
1. Plug the appliance into a suitable single socket.
2. To start the hot display, introduce the following settings with the knob.
By further rotating the knob (A) to the desired temperature setting (30–110°C),
heating will be activated, the red heating indicator light (D) will illuminate and will
remain on until the set temperature is reached.
When the knob (A) is rotated to position (E), only the lighting lamps will remain on.

Keeping Food Warm
1. In the meantime, prepare the required warm food and fill appropriate GN
containers or plates (serving plates, etc.) with it.
2. Place food on the shelf or on the surface for GN containers.
The food will be kept warm, in the selected temperature for the required period. If
the temperature in the hot display drops, the heating element will switch on again
and the appliance will be reheated to the set temperature. The red preheat indicator
light (D) remains lit until the set temperature is reached; then, it goes out.
3. If necessary, remove dishes through the lifting or sliding door at the user side of
the appliance.
4. Serve warm food.
5. Close the lifting or sliding door to limit the loss of warm air in the cooking
cabinet.
Switching the Appliance OFF
1. Remove all dishes if the appliance is no longer to be used.
2. Rotate the knob to the OFF position.
3. Disconnect the appliance from power supply (pull the plug out).

6 Cleaning and Maintenance
6.1Safety Instructions for Cleaning
• Before cleaning, disconnect the appliance from the power supply.
• Leave the appliance to cool down completely.
• Make sure water does not enter the appliance. Do not immerse the appliance in
water or other liquids during cleaning. Do not clean the appliance with a
pressurized water jet.
• Do not use any sharp or pointed, nor metal implements (knife, fork, etc.). Sharp
or pointed implements may damage the appliance, and when in contact with live
parts, they may cause electric shock.
• For cleaning, do not use any scouring agents that contain solvents nor corrosive
cleaning agents. They may damage the surface.
6.2 Cleaning
1. Clean the appliance regularly at the end of a working day, and, if necessary,
also in the meantime or when the appliance is not to be used for a longer time.
2. Remove all food containers, GN container bars and shelf from the appliance.
3. Pull out the condensate drawer and empty it.
4. Clean the removed parts (GN container bars, shelf, condensate drawer) and
used GN containers with warm water and a mild detergent.
5. Rinse the cleaned elements in fresh water.
6. To end with, dry the cleaned parts thoroughly with a soft cloth.
7. The hot display should be cleaned thoroughly from inside with a soft, damp
cloth. Use a mild cleaning agent when required.
8. Wipe it with clean, soft cloth.
WARNING!
Risk of electric shock from live parts of the appliance!
Ensure that no liquids get onto heating elements and ventilation openings inside
the appliance.

9. If necessary, lift the front glass pane
for cleaning (Fig. below).
ATTENTION!
To avoid possible damage to the
glass pane and the handle, lift and
lower the front glass pane slowly!

10. Wipe the outside glass pane and the appliance housing with a soft, damp cloth.
11. Wipe the control panel, connection cable and plug with a slightly damp cloth
only.
12. To end with, dry the cleaned surfaces thoroughly with a soft cloth.
13. Re-attach the removed parts in the appliance.
14. If the appliance will not be used for an extended period of time, clean it as
described above, dry it thoroughly and leave the lift door or sliding door open so
that no unpleasant odours or mould develops in the appliance.
6.3 Maintenance
• To ensure that the appliance remains functional for a long time, the following
operations should be carried out regularly (twice a year) by a qualified
personnel:
– check electrical cables at the connectors for loose connections;
– check the operation of the electrical system. If the power cord is
damaged, it must be replaced for safety reasons;
– check the operation of the thermostat and probes;

– clean the lamp cover (T) (Fig. 6) in order to keep the internal lighting on
at all times;
– clean the fan air deflector (S) and the fan blades; to do this, lift the front
glass pane (M), remove the advertising panel (N) by unscrewing the
screws (Q) and then unscrew the screws (R) from the air deflector (S);
– to replace the advertising/price panel lamp, remove the front glass pane
(M) and the advertising/price panel (N) by unscrewing the appropriate
screws (Q);
– to replace the interior lighting lamps or the corresponding starter, remove
the lamp cover (T) by unscrewing the screws (U);
– to replace the heating elements, fans, lamp chokes, advertising panel
lamp starters, remove the service area cover (O) by unscrewing the
screws (P);
– to access the thermostat and switch, remove the panel by unscrewing
the corresponding bottom screws.

Disposal
