Warming up and keeping the food warm
• Set the desired temperature for each food type in the range from 30 °C to 90 °C by
means of a temperature control knob provided on the device.
• Warm up the counter without water in the water tray and without food to the set
temperature. The glass will be preheated too. This process prevents water
condensation on the glass, when the food is put in the counter.
• The orange warm-up control lamp located next to the temperature control knob lights
up. Once the set temperature is reached, the heater turns off and the orange warm-up
control lamp goes out.
• Now fill the water tray with water, if necessary. The water tray serves for production of
moisture in the counter (it is especially important for pastries, so they do not dry out
so fast).
NOTE!
Pour only so much water that it does not spill over.
Observe water level in the water tray, refill water if necessary.
CAUTION!
Before you fill the counter with the desired food, make sure that the set operating
temperature is reached.
• In the meantime, prepare the desired hot food and put in the appropriate
max. 40 mm deep 2/1 GN containers (GN containers not included).
• Open the sliding glass doors of the
counter and put the food stored in GN
containers into the opening provided at
the bottom of the counter. Foods, such
as pastries, prepared small portions, etc.
can be put into suitable containers or
plates, serving platters and placed on
the intermediate shelf.
CAUTION!
Do not put food directly on the bottom shelf or intermediate shelf, use appropriate
containers or dishes!
- 25 -
Page 13
• Close the glass sliding doors of the counter to reduce the temperature loss in the
counter. The food is kept warm at the set temperature.
• By reduction of temperature in the counter, the heating is switched on again and the
warm-up control lamp comes on again.
WARNING! Hot surface!
During operation some parts of the device become very hot.
To avoid burns, do not touch them with bare hands. Use gloves or potholders to
insert or remove hot food.
• The device is equipped with power socket for other electrical devices (such as a
knife or lamp). This is located next to the power cord on the control panel of the
device. When connecting additional devices bear in mind that the total output
of 3500 Watts (including equipment) should not be exceeded.
• If the device is not in use anymore, turn it off by ON-/OFF toggle switch. Disconnect the
device from the power supply (Pull the plug!).
Switching on/off the interior lighting
• The device is equipped with halogen lighting. Switch this on or off as required with
the provided toggle switch on the operation side.
