This instruction manual contains information about installation, operation and maintenance of the appliance and constitutes an important source of information and reference guide. The knowledge of all operational and safety instructions included in this manual is a prerequisite for safe and proper handling of the appliance. Additionally, accident prevention, occupational health and safety, and legal regulations in force in the area the appliance is used apply.
Before you start using the appliance, especially before turning it on, read this instruction manual in order to avoid personal injuries and property damages. Improper use may cause damage.
This instruction manual forms and integral part of the product and must be stored in an immediate vicinity of the appliance and be available at all times. The instruction manual should be transferred together with the appliance.

1 Safety

1.2 Safety instructions

Electrical Current
Too high a mains voltage or incorrect installation may cause electric shock.
The appliance may be connected only if data on the rating plate correspond with
the mains voltage.
To avoid short-circuit, the appliance should be kept dry.
If there are malfunctions during operation, disconnect the appliance from the
power supply.
• Do not touch the appliance’s plug with wet hands.
Never take hold of the appliance if it has fallen into water. Immediately
disconnect the appliance from the power supply.
Any repairs or housing opening may be carried out by professionals and
relevant workshops only.
Do not transport the appliance, holding it by the power cord.
Do not allow the power cord to come into contact with heat sources or sharp
edges.

Always take hold of the plug to disconnect the appliance from the power supply.
Flammable Materials
Never subject the appliance to contact with high temperature sources, e.g.:
oven, furnace, open flame, heat generating devices, etc.
To avoid fire hazard, clean the appliance regularly.
Do not cover the appliance with, e.g., aluminium foil or cloths.
Use the appliance only with materials designated to this end and with correct
temperature settings. Materials, groceries and left-overs remaining in the appliance may catch fire.
Never use the appliance near flammable or inflammable materials, e.g.: petrol,
spirit, alcohol, etc. High temperature triggers evaporation of these materials, and, as a result of contact with sources of ignition, an explosion may occur.
In case of fire, disconnect the appliance from the power supply before
attempting suitable fire-extinguishing actions.
Never attempt to extinguish fire with water if the appliance is connected to the
power supply. Following extinction of fire, ensure sufficient fresh air inflow.
Hot Surfaces
Surfaces of the appliance become hot during operation. Burning hazard! High
temperature remains for some time after switching the appliance off.
Do not touch any hot surfaces of the appliance. Use the provided handling
elements and holders.
You may transport and clean the appliance after it cools down entirely.
It is prohibited to sprinkle hot surfaces with cold water or flammable liquids.

Only supervised appliance may be used.

2.1 Liability and Warranty

All information and instructions in this instruction manual account for legal regulations in force, current level of technical engineering knowledge as well as our expertise and experience, developed over the years. If special models or additional options are ordered, or state-of-the-art technical solutions were implemented, the actual scope of delivery of the appliance may, in some circumstances, differ from descriptions and numerous drawings in this instruction manual.
The manufacturer is not liable for any damages nor faults stemming from:
failure to observe instructions, unintended use, technical alterations introduced by the user, usage of unapproved spare parts.
We reserve the right to introduce technical modifications to the product, intended for improvement of the appliance and its performance.

3 Transport, Packaging and Storage

3.1 Delivery Check

Immediately upon reception, check the delivery for completeness and possible shipping damage. In the case of visible transport damage refuse to accept the appliance or accept it conditionally. Mark and note the scope of damage in shipping documents/consignment list of the shipping company and lodge a complaint. Concealed damage must be reported immediately upon its discovery, as compensation claims may only be filed within applicable time limits.
If you find that parts or accessories missing, please contact our Customer Service Department.

3.2 Packaging

Do not dispose of the appliance cardboard box. It may be used to store the appliance when relocating or when shipping the appliance to our service point in the case of any damages.
The packaging and its elements are made of recyclable materials. Particularly, these are: plastic films and bags, cardboard box.
When disposing of the packaging, observe applicable domestic regulations. Recyclable packaging materials should be recycled.

3.3 Storage

Leave the packaging closed until installation of the appliance; observe external indications concerning method of placing and storage. Store the packaging in the following conditions only:
in closed rooms; in dry and dust-free surrounding; away from aggressive agents; in a location protected against sunlight; in a location protected against mechanical shocks.
In the case of extended storage (over three months), make sure you check the condition of the packaging and the parts regularly. If needed, replace the packaging with a new one.

4.2 Functions of the Appliance

Water in the water tank circulates in the riser pipe as long as the water temperature reaches 89°C. Then the brewing heating element switches off and the warm­keeping heating element switches on. The green warm-keeping indicator light comes on. The coffee is kept warm for the required period.

5 Installation and operation

5.1 Installation

Unpacking / Positioning
Unpack the appliance, remove all external and internal packaging elements and shipment safeguards.
If the appliance is covered with a protective film, remove it. Remove the film slowly, so no glue residues are left. Remove any glue residues with the use of a suitable solvent.
Be careful not to damage the rating plate and warning labels fixed on the appliance.
Never place the appliance in humid or wet environment.
Place the appliance in a way making the connections easily accessible, so that
they may be quickly disconnected if such a need arises.
The appliance should be placed on surfaces that are:
even, with sufficient bearing capacity, resistant to water, dry and resistant
to high temperatures;
– sufficiently large, and thus enabling usage of the appliance with no
problems;
easily accessible; well ventilated.
Maintain sufficient clearance from table edges. The appliance might turn over
and fall down.
Leave at least 10 cm clearance from flammable walls and items.
Power supply connection
Verify if technical data of the appliance (see rating plate) correspond with the local electric power grid specification.
Connect the appliance to a single, properly grounded mains socket with protective contact. Do not connect the appliance to a multi-socket.

WARNING!
Risk of burns!
The water tank and the lid heat up considerably during operation.
Do not touch the hot appliance. Use the lid handle to open the water tank.
Parts of the filter basket and coffee dregs are becoming very hot.
When removing the filter basket assembly after the end of the brewing process, use safety gloves.
Risk of burns!
Hot steam coming out when the lid is removed may cause scalding of hands, arms and face.
Never remove the lid when the appliance is operating. Use the lid handle and safety gloves when removing the lid.
Overfilling may lead to hot water leaks and scalding!
Observe the maximum filling volume!
The power cord should be laid in a way preventing anyone from threading on it or tripping against it.
Do not use the appliance with an external timer or remote control.

5.2 Operation

Coffee Preparation
1. Before use, clean the appliance, observing instructions in section 6 'Cleaning'.
2. Fill the tank with cold, potable water. Never use warm water for coffee
preparation in this appliance!
The required fill level may be read from fill level indicator.
ATTENTION! Never use the appliance without water!
3. Pay attention to the minimum required amount for brewing during coffee preparation. It is 40 cups or 5.28 litres.
4. To assemble the filter basket assembly put the riser pipe into the filter basket opening and place both elements together in the tank.

6. Depending on preferences it is possible to place a suitable paper filter in the filter basket or to prepare coffee without it!
7. Pour coarsely ground coffee to the filter basket (approx. 5 g per cup).
NOTE: The recommended coffee amount may be larger or smaller, depending on preferences.
8. Place the deflector on the edge of water tank, over the filter basket.
The deflector serves the purpose of even distribution of water from the riser pipe during the brewing process.
9. Place the lid on the water tank.
5. Make sure that the riser pipe is placed in the centre of the heating bowl in the tank bottom.
NOTE! The optimum filter from high-grade stainless steel allows for coffee
preparation either with a paper filter or without it.
ATTENTION! Before connecting the appliance to the mains supply, make sure the
ON/OFF switch is in 'O' position.
10. Plug the appliance into a suitable single socket.
11. Start the coffee machine by switching the ON/OFF switch to 'I' position.
The red operation control light in the ON/OFF switch will come on, indicating the the appliance is operating and the brewing process is in progress.
As soon as the brewing process is complete, the appliance switches from brewing heating element to warm-keeping heating element, and the green warm-keeping indicator light comes on.
The temperature will be reduced automatically and coffee will be kept in the serving temperature, until the ON/OFF switch is switched to 'O' position or the plug is removed from the mains socket.
NOTE! After the brewing process remove the filter basket with coffee dregs from
the water tank. It allows to keep good taste of coffee.

1. Place a cup or kettle under the drain tap, press the tap slightly down and hold until the cup or kettle is filled with required amount of coffee.
2. Release the drain tap it closes automatically.
3. In order to obtain constant flow press the drain tap lever fully up, until it engages. After coffee dispensing, close the drain tap by pressing it down again.
Coffee Dispensing
Switching the Appliance Off
1. Switch the ON/OFF switch to 'O' position, when liquid stops flowing from the drain tap of a vertically positioned appliance.
2. Disconnect the appliance from mains power supply.
3. If needed, after cooling down, refill the coffee machine with fresh water and run anew the brewing process.

Malfunction Indicator Light / Safety Thermostat
In case of a malfunction or with too low a water level, red malfunction indicator light comes on, and heating elements are deactivated.
Proceed the following way:
1. Regularly check water level in the tank. If the water level is too low:
switch the appliance off with the ON/OFF switch refill with fresh potable water switch the appliance on as usual
2. If the malfunction indicator light is still on, descale the appliance. Perform the following steps:

NOTE: If after descaling of the coffee maker the malfunction indicator light is still
on and the appliance does not work, the safety thermostat has tripped. Press the RESET button at the bottom of the appliance and run the appliance as usual.

6 Cleaning

6.1 Safety Instructions for Cleaning

Before cleaning, disconnect the appliance from the power supply.
Leave the appliance to cool down completely.
Make sure water does not enter the appliance. Do not immerse the appliance in
water or other liquids during cleaning. Do not clean the appliance with a pressurized water jet.
Do not use any sharp or pointed, nor metal implements (knife, fork, etc.). Sharp or pointed implements may damage the appliance, and when in contact with live parts, they may cause electric shock.
For cleaning, do not use any scouring agents that contain solvents nor corrosive cleaning agents. They may damage the surface.

6.2 Cleaning

Daily Cleaning
1. Clean the appliance after each use.
2. After use, clean the filter basket, riser pipe, lid, and deflector with warm water and gentle, commercially available cleaning agent for professional coffee machines. Follow product manufacturer’s instructions.
3. Rinse the parts with fresh water.
4. To end with, dry all cleaned parts, using a linen-free, soft cloth.
5. Make sure the water tank is free of all and any deposits and coffee residues. Wash the water tank with warm water with a mild cleaning agent. If required, use mild scrubbing agent.
6. Rinse the water tank thoroughly with clean water.
7. To clean the drain tap, fill the water tank with warm water and drain it through the drain tap.
8. Remove the drip tray with drip grate from the appliance. Empty and clean them with warm water and gentle washing agent regularly. Rinse the parts with fresh water. To end with, dry the drip tray and drip grate and refit them anew in the appliance.
9. Wipe the exterior of the appliance with a soft, moist cloth.
ATTENTION! After cleaning, check the gasket at the bottom end of the riser pipe. If it is
not fitted correctly, is missing or is hard, maintaining the right position of the riser pipe in the heating bowl may be impossible, which in turn may negatively influence the operation of the appliance.
Weekly Cleaning
Heating Bowl
The heating bowl in the bottom of the appliance must be thoroughly cleaned every week, especially in case of daily use of the appliance.
There is a scraper for cleaning the heating bowl in the package of the appliance.
NOTE! Always use the enclosed cleaning scraper.

1. Put the steel wool cloth soaked in soap or thin dishcloth on the heating bowl (a).
2. Then introduce the narrow end of the cleaning scraper (b) into the heating bowl.
3. Clean the heating bowl (a) through repeatedly turning the cleaning scraper (b) inside out and to the left and right.
The heating bowl is clean, when the metal shines.
1. The water sensor (c) in the appliance's tank should be cleaned carefully.
2. After cleaning, rinse the water tank thoroughly with clear water.
1. Undo the screw (d) at the top next to the fill level indicator support.
2. Remove the glass pipe (e) and the top gasket.
3. Introduce the cleaning brush into the glass pipe (e) and clean it thoroughly, using warm water and a gentle washing agent.
4. Rinse thoroughly with clear water.
4. After cleaning, rinse the water tank thoroughly to remove all residues of soap and cleaning agents.
Water Sensor
Fill level indicator
If needed, the fill level indicator may be cleaned from the inside using the enclosed cleaning brush.
5. To end with, fit the glass pipe (e) on the fill level indicator support. Pay attention to the right position of gaskets at the bottom and at the top.
ATTENTION! The glass pipe must be correctly fit in the gasket at the bottom. Tighten the screw gently, as the glass pipe may get broken.

1. Undo the top part of the drain tap with the handle (f).
2. Clean the tap and connection between the tap and the appliance with small bottle brush.
3. Rinse the removed part (f) of the drain tap and reinstall in the appliance.
6. Tighten the screw again (d) on the fill level indicator support.
Drain Tap
If the appliance is used daily, it is necessary to thoroughly clean the tap mechanism once a week, or less frequently in the case of less intensive use.

6.3 Descaling

Depending on the water hardness level in the place of usage, limescale may be deposited in the water tank and the heating bowl during the operation of the coffee machine. In order to maintain the appliance in the best possible condition, and in order to be certain that every brewing process yields the best results, the appliance should be descaled regularly.
NOTE! To reduce limescale deposits, it is recommended to use filtered water!
The appliance is equipped with red malfunction indicator. Depending on the hardness of the water used, the indicator may be activated after a certain number of brewing cycles, which indicates that the appliance must be descaled. The safety thermostat is activated and thus it stops the operation of the appliance. Switch the appliance off with the ON/OFF switch, and leave it to cool down.
For descaling the appliance we recommend the tried and proven agent:

To descale the appliance, perform the following steps:
press the RESET button at the bottom of the appliance, fill the with fresh potable water, paying attention to minimum brewing

– dissolve sufficient amount of descaling agent in water (follow indications
on the packaging),

– rinse the tank, riser pipe and filter basket thoroughly with warm water,
and drain the water through the drain tap.
After descaling, you may start using the appliance as usual. The red malfunction indicator light is off.
