This instruction manual contains information about installation, operation and
maintenance of the appliance and constitutes an important source of information
and reference guide. The knowledge of all operational and safety instructions
included in this manual is a prerequisite for safe and proper handling of the

1.2Safety instructions
Electrical current
• Too high a mains voltage or incorrect installation may cause electric shock.
• The appliance may be connected only if data on the rating plate correspond with

2.1Liability and warranty
All information and instructions in this instruction manual account for legal
regulations in force, current level of technical engineering knowledge as well as our
expertise and experience, developed over the years. If special models or additional
options are ordered, or state-of-the-art technical solutions were implemented, the
actual scope of delivery of the appliance may, in some circumstances, differ from
descriptions and numerous drawings in this instruction manual.
The manufacturer is not liable for any damages nor faults stemming from:
– failure to observe instructions,
– unintended use,
– technical alterations introduced by the user,
– usage of unapproved spare parts.
We reserve the right to introduce technical modifications to the product, intended for
improvement of the appliance and its performance.

Transport, packaging and storage

3 Transport, packaging and storage
3.1Delivery check
Immediately upon reception, check the delivery for completeness and possible
shipping damage. In the case of visible transport damage refuse to accept the
appliance or accept it conditionally. Mark and note the scope of damage in shipping
documents/consignment list of the shipping company and lodge a complaint.
Concealed damage must be reported immediately upon its discovery, as
compensation claims may only be filed within applicable time limits.
If you find that parts or accessories missing, please contact our Customer Service
Department.
3.2 Packaging
Do not dispose of the appliance cardboard box. It may be used to store the
appliance when relocating or when shipping the appliance to our service point in the
case of any damages.
The packaging and its elements are made of recyclable materials. Particularly,
these are: plastic films and bags, cardboard box.
When disposing of the packaging, observe applicable domestic regulations.
Recyclable packaging materials should be recycled.
3.3 Storage
Leave the packaging closed until installation of the appliance; observe external
indications concerning method of placing and storage. Store the packaging in the
following conditions only:
– in closed rooms;
– in dry and dust-free surrounding;
– away from aggressive agents;
– in a location protected against sunlight;
– in a location protected against mechanical shocks.
In the case of extended storage (over three months), make sure you check the
condition of the packaging and the parts regularly. If needed, replace the packaging
with a new one.

5 Installation and operation
5.1Installation
Unpacking / Positioning
• Unpack the appliance, remove all external and internal packaging elements and
shipment safeguards.
• If the appliance is covered with a protective film, remove it. Remove the film
slowly, so no glue residues are left. Remove any glue residues with the use of a
suitable solvent.
• Be careful not to damage the rating plate and warning labels fixed on the
appliance.
• Never place the appliance in humid or wet environment.
• Place the appliance in a way making the connections easily accessible, so that
they may be quickly disconnected if such a need arises.
• The appliance should be placed on surfaces that are:
– even, with sufficient bearing capacity, resistant to water, dry and resistant
to high temperatures;
– sufficiently large, and thus enabling usage of the appliance with no
problems;
– easily accessible;
– well ventilated.
• Maintain sufficient clearance from table edges. The appliance might turn over
and fall down.

• Do not expose the scale to direct sunlight as it could lead to discolouration,
malfunction, or damage.
• Keep the balance away from water and other liquids as it is not watertight.
WARNING!
If the scale is used in a humid environment it may lead to electric shock,
injury, and electric damages.
• Do not place the scale where it will be exposed to dust, wind, vibration, or large
temperature fluctuations.
• Do not place the scale in locations with magnetic fields.
Power supply connection
• Verify if technical data of the appliance (see rating plate) correspond with the
local electric power grid specification.
• Connect the appliance to a single, properly grounded mains socket with
protective contact. Do not connect the appliance to a multi-socket.
• The power cord should be laid in a way preventing anyone from threading on it
or tripping against it.
• Connect the spiral cable and the remote display.
• If the appliance is to be powered by the mains adapter:
– connect the mains adapter plug to the appropriate socket on the left side
of remote display
– connect the plug to a single socket.
CAUTION!
Use only the original mains adapter supplied with the digital scale. Other
adapters can cause permanent electric damage.
• The appliance may be also supplied by batteries. Open the battery compartment
on the right side of the remote display and insert 4 AAA alkaline batteries,
observing polarity. Close the battery compartment.

Before use
1. Make sure that all components of the appliance are available and in sound
condition.
2. Before use clean the appliance according to the instructions in section 6
“Cleaning”.
3. All cleaned parts should be dried thoroughly.
4. Allow the digital scale to adjust to the room temperature before use.
Device switch on / off
1. If there are no objects on the pan, press the on/off key once. .
The digital display shows all indicators for a few seconds and then only the
maximum weighing result and resolution are displayed.
2. When "0" appears on the digital display, the weighing of the objects can be
started.
3. To switch off the digital scale, press the on/off key again. .
4. After using the digital scale, disconnect it from the socket (pull the plug!).
5. In case of prolonged period of disuse, remove the batteries from the appliance.
Weighing
1. Press on/off key , to activate the digital scale.
When the device is switched on, all indicators appear on the digital display for a few
seconds, followed by "0".
2. You can now start weighing the required objects.
Selection of weighing unit
1. Press to select the weighing unit, “kg” or “lb”.
After selection, the unit appears on the digital display next to the displayed weighing
result.
2. When the indicators stop blinking (which means that the data is stable) the
weighing results may be read.
If no container is used for weighing:
1. Check if "0" is displayed.
2. If not, press to recall “0” indicator.
3. Place the objects to be weighed on the platform.
When the value is stable, the stability indicator "►" appears on the digital display.

If a container is used for weighing:
1. Put an empty container on the platform.
2. Wait until the stability indicator "►" appears.
3. Then press .
4. Place the objects to be weighed in the container.
When the value is stable, the stability indicator "►" appears on the digital display.
Calibration methods
Any single point calibration
1. Switch on the device, hold down key until the digital display shows "------".
2. Press key or shortly to switch to the calibration mode.
The digital display shows “CAL”.
3. Press key shortly to make sure that the calibration mode is set.
The digital display shows "Load" and "0.0kg" alternately.
4. Make sure that there are no objects on the platform, press shortly to
confirm that the digital scale starts the calibration of "0.0kg" point.
During the calibration of "0.0kg" point the digital display shows blinking "0.0kg".
5. The platform should be kept in calm and stable condition, free from any factors
that might affect weighing.
When the weight remains stable for more than 2 seconds the digital scale will
automatically end the calibration of "0.0kg" point and start the next calibration point.
Otherwise, "0.0kg" will blink on the digital display until the weight stabilizes.
6. Assuming that the next calibration point is "xx.xkg", "Load" and "xx.xkg" will be
alternately displayed on the digital display, which means that a weight of
"xx.xkg" should be put on the platform.
7. If that weight must be changed, press or shortly to change the
modification menu, then press shortly to change the blinking position.
8. Press shortly to change the blinking position by plus 1 and press shortly
to make sure that the change is finished.
9. Make sure that the weight on the platform is "xx.xkg", press shortly to
confirm the calibration "xx.xkg".
During calibration of "xx.xkg" point the digital display shows blinking "xx.xkg".
10. The platform should be kept in calm and stable condition, free from any factors
that might affect weighing.
When the weight remains stable for more than 2 seconds the digital scale will
automatically end the calibration of "xx.xkg" point and save the calibration

parameters. Otherwise, "xx.xkg" will blink on the digital display until the weight
stabilizes.
Standard two-point calibration
1. Switch on the device, hold down key until the digital display shows "------".
2. Press key or shortly to switch to the calibration mode.
The digital display shows “Line”.
3. Press key shortly to make sure that the appliance starts the calibration.
After the calibration starts, the digital display shows "Load" and "0.0kg" alternately.
4. Make sure that there are no objects on the platform, press shortly to
confirm that the digital scale starts the calibration of "0.0kg" point.
During calibration of "0.0kg" point "0.0kg” blinks on the digital display; the platform
should be kept in calm and stable condition, free from any factors that might affect
weighing. When the weight remains stable for more than 2 seconds the digital scale
will automatically end the calibration of "0.0kg" point and start the next calibration
point. Otherwise, "0.0kg" will blink on the digital display until the weight stabilizes.
The next calibration will be displayed automatically and will be located in the centre
of the measurement range of the scale (30 or 75 kg).
5. Place the displayed weight on the platform, wait until the readout stabilizes
(stops blinking) and press key to confirm.
The digital scale then automatically switches to calibration in the full measurement
range (60 or 150 kg).
6. Place the displayed weight on the platform, wait until the readout stabilizes
(stops blinking) and press key to confirm.
7. You can now return to weighing mode.
SAVE function
After pressing key the weighing result is displayed on the digital display for 120
seconds after the weighed objects have been removed from the platform. This
makes it easy to read the weight.
1. Place the objects to be weighed on the platform.
2. Wait until the weight is displayed in a stable way.
3. Press and wait for an acoustic signal (beep).
The "►" indicator for SAVE function appears or lights up.
4. Remove the object from the platform.
The weighing result will be displayed on the digital display for 120 seconds.
5. Exiting / deactivating the SAVE function

– The object is weighed and SAVE function will be deactivated.
– To exit the SAVE function press key again to deactivate the "►"
indicator for SAVE function and return to the weighing result.
Send data / print function
In order to integrate the electronic digital scale with the Electronic Data Processing
(EDP) system, weighing data may be transmitted over RS232 interface.
1. Press and hold key for 2 seconds.
An acoustic signal is heard and the weight measurement data is sent from the
central processing unit's processor to the computer or connected printer.

Counting mode (number of pieces)
This function of the digital scale determines the number of objects in a sample. It
calculates their number taking the weight of the base item as a basis in order to
determine how many pieces there are.
1. Remove all objects from the platform and press shortly to set the appliance
to "0".
2. Press key until the appliance enters "pcs" mode and the display shows
"ADD10".
3. By pressing key it is possible to change the number of pieces (20, 50, 5).
4. Put the number of pieces corresponding to setting (5, 10, 20, 50) on the
platform.
NOTE: The weight of each object should be higher than the minimum
permitted partial value, otherwise the digital display will show "no". Items’
weight must be the same.
5. Press to calculate and save the unitary weight.
6. Remove the objects from the platform.
The digital scale is set to count objects of identical unitary weight.
7. Place the objects to be counted on the platform.
The digital display shows the number of objects.
8. Press to change the number of objects to be counted.
9. Press to abort the counting process.
The digital scale takes the last value to be counted.

6 Cleaning
6.1Safety Instructions for cleaning
• Before cleaning, disconnect the appliance from the power supply.
• Leave the appliance to cool down completely.
• Make sure water does not enter the appliance. Do not immerse the appliance in
water or other liquids during cleaning. Do not clean the appliance with a
pressurized water jet.
• Do not use any sharp or pointed, nor metal implements (knife, fork, etc.). Sharp
or pointed implements may damage the appliance, and when in contact with live
parts, they may cause electric shock.
• For cleaning, do not use any scouring agents that contain solvents nor corrosive
cleaning agents. They may damage the surface.
6.2 Cleaning
1. Clean the appliance regularly.
2. Clean the housing of the appliance with a soft, damp cloth and mild cleaning
agent.
3. If necessary, remove the platform from the appliance.
4. Clean the platform with a soft, damp cloth.
5. Clean the remote display, spiral cable and connection cable with a soft, damp
cloth.
6. After cleaning, use a soft cloth to dry the cleaned surfaces.
