This instruction manual contains information about installation, operation and
maintenance of the appliance and constitutes an important source of information
and reference guide. The knowledge of all operational and safety instructions
included in this manual is a prerequisite for safe and proper handling of the
appliance. Additionally, accident prevention, occupational health and safety, and
legal regulations in force in the area the appliance is used apply.
Before you start using the appliance, especially before turning it on, read this
instruction manual in order to avoid personal injuries and property damages.

This instruction manual forms and integral part of the product and must be stored in
an immediate vicinity of the appliance and be available at all times. The instruction
manual should be transferred together with the appliance.
1 Safety
This appliance has been manufactured in accordance with technical standards
currently in force. However, the appliance may be a source of hazards if used
improperly or contrary to its intended purpose. All persons using the appliance must
consider information included in this instruction manual and observe safety
instructions.

Safety During Operation of Gas Cooker
• Never leave the operating appliance without supervision.

• Prevent children from accessing packaging materials, for instance: plastic bags
and EPS elements. Choking hazard!
• It is forbidden to make any changes or modifications of the appliance without
explicit authorization of the manufacturer in order to avoid hazard and assure
optimum operation.
• Do not use pans nor pots with diameter greater than 260 mm, as they protrude
over the gas cartridge shaft, and thus may lead to overheating of gas cartridge
shaft.
• Never place two gas cookers next to each other.
• Do not use grill plates on the appliance.
• Do not use the appliance in a place, where ambient temperature exceeds 35°C.
• Do not use the appliance, when the gas cartridge shaft cover is in open position.
• The appliance may be fuelled only with Bartscher butane gas cartridges, art. No.
A150625, in accordance with EN 417. Connecting other gas cartridges may be
hazardous.
• Never connect the gas cooker to an external gas source.
• Gas cartridges may be replaced only in open air, away from any possible
sources of ignition, such as: open flame, ignition flame, electric cooking
appliances.
• While at it, make sure there are no people in immediate vicinity.
• Make sure that before you open the gas cartridge, the gas burner is off.
• Before replacing the gas cartridge make sure it is empty. To this end, shake it
and mind the sound the liquid inside makes.

• Before connecting the gas cartridge, check the gasket (a, Fig. 2). Make sure it is
in its place and in good condition.
ATTENTION!
Do not use the appliance if its gasket is damaged.
• Do not use the appliance if is not tight, damaged or operates improperly.
• If gas is leaking the appliance (gas is scented), immediately rotate the controller
to OFF position. Move the appliance outdoors, into a place with good air
circulation, and without sources of ignition, where the leak may be located and
removed.
• Tightness of the appliance should be checked outdoors only.
WARNING! Fire hazard!
Do not use open flame for checking tightness! Use suds or spray for detecting
leakages.
• Never move the operating appliance.
• Never move the appliance with cookware on it.
• Do not put any objects into the appliance.
• Always remove any food and fat residues from the gas cooker.
• Before cleaning and repairs, remove the gas cartridge form the shaft.
Flammable Materials
• Never use the appliance near flammable or easily combustible materials (e.g.:
petrol, spirit, alcohol). High temperature triggers evaporation of these materials,
and, as a result of contact with sources of ignition, an explosion may occur.
• Use the appliance only with materials designed to this end and with correct
temperature settings. Materials, food products and left-overs of food products
remaining in the appliance may catch fire.

• To avoid fire hazard, clean the appliance regularly.
• Never leave the appliance unattended, especially when cooking with fats or oils
as they may cause fire.
• Close the gas shut-off valve should the fire emerge. Never put the flame out with
water; to suppress fire, use a lid or a fire-blanket. Following extinction of fire,
ensure sufficient fresh air inflow.
Hot Surfaces
• Surfaces of the appliance become hot during operation. Burning hazard! High
temperature remains for some time after switching the appliance off.
• Do not touch any hot surfaces of the appliance. Use the provided handling
elements and holders.
• You may transport and clean the appliance after it cools down entirely.
• It is prohibited to sprinkle hot surfaces with cold water or flammable liquids.
Supervised Usage only
• Only supervised appliance may be used.
• Always remain in an immediate vicinity of the appliance.
Operating personnel
• This appliance is not intended to be used by persons (including children) with
limited physical, sensory or mental capabilities, nor by persons with limited
experience and/or limited knowledge.
• Children should be supervised to ensure that they are not playing with or
switching the appliance on.

regulations in force, current level of technical engineering knowledge as well as our
expertise and experience, developed over the years. If special models or additional
options are ordered, or state-of-the-art technical solutions were implemented, the
actual scope of delivery of the appliance may, in some circumstances, differ from
descriptions and numerous drawings in this instruction manual.
The manufacturer is not liable for any damages nor faults stemming from:
– failure to observe instructions,
– unintended use,
– technical alterations introduced by the user,
– usage of unapproved spare parts.
We reserve the right to introduce technical modifications to the product, intended for

Transport, Packaging and Storage

3 Transport, Packaging and Storage
3.1Delivery Check
Immediately upon reception, check the delivery for completeness and possible
shipping damage. In the case of visible transport damage refuse to accept the
appliance or accept it conditionally. Mark and note the scope of damage in shipping
documents/consignment list of the shipping company and lodge a complaint.
Concealed damage must be reported immediately upon its discovery, as
compensation claims may only be filed within applicable time limits.
If you find that parts or accessories missing, please contact our Customer Service
Department.
3.2 Packaging
Do not dispose of the appliance cardboard box. It may be used to store the
appliance when relocating or when shipping the appliance to our service point in the
case of any damages.
The packaging and its elements are made of recyclable materials. Particularly,
these are: plastic films and bags, cardboard box.
When disposing of the packaging, observe applicable domestic regulations.
Recyclable packaging materials should be recycled.
3.3 Storage
Leave the packaging closed until installation of the appliance; observe external
indications concerning method of placing and storage. Store the packaging in the
following conditions only:
– in closed rooms;
– in dry and dust-free surrounding;
– away from aggressive agents;
– in a location protected against sunlight;
– in a location protected against mechanical shocks.
In the case of extended storage (over three months), make sure you check the
condition of the packaging and the parts regularly. If needed, replace the packaging
with a new one.

Overpressure Protection
The gas cooker is additionally equipped with protective device, which stops gas
from flowing when the gas pressure in the gas cartridge is too high, e.g. as an
outcome of overheating.
ATTENTION!
In case the pressure sensitive safety device triggers it means that a critical
pressure level is reached in the cartridge so the appliance must not be
used before it has completely cool down. Do not bypass the pressure
sensitive safety device.
To continue to use the appliance perform the following steps (Fig. 3, 4):
– rotate the rotary controller (17) to the OFF position (16);
– open the gas cartridge shaft cover (6);

– press the gas cartridge locking lever (20) to
UNLOCK (14) position and remove the gas
cartridge (7);
– set the rotary controller (17) to ignition (18) position
to release overpressure in the valve;
– press the reset lever (b) with red rubber cap down

– after making sure that the gas cartridge locking lever (20) is in UNLOCK (13)
position, insert a new gas cartridge in the gas cartridge shaft (8). If a new gas
cartridge is not available, cool the removed gas cartridge with water.
ATTENTION!
Insert the gas cartridge in the appliance only when the cartridge and
appliance have cooled down completely.
The gas cartridge may be installed only when the rotary controller (17) is in OFF
position. (16).
Flame Monitoring
The thermoelement controls the valve and automatically interrupts gas inflow when
the flame goes out (e.g., due to a draught or a boiled-over liquid).

4.3 Functions of the Appliance
The gas cooker may be flexibly used outdoors. With suitable cookware, you may
prepare and heat up food.
5 Installation and operation
5.1Installation
Unpacking / Positioning
• Unpack the appliance, remove all external and internal packaging elements and
shipment safeguards.
• If the appliance is covered with a protective film, remove it. Remove the film
slowly, so no glue residues are left. Remove any glue residues with the use of a
suitable solvent.
• Be careful not to damage the rating plate and warning labels fixed on the
appliance.
• Never place the appliance in humid or wet environment.
• Place the appliance in a way making the connections easily accessible, so that
they may be quickly disconnected if such a need arises.
• The appliance should be placed on surfaces that are:
– even, with sufficient bearing capacity, resistant to water, dry and resistant
to high temperatures;
– sufficiently large, and thus enabling usage of the appliance with no
problems;
– easily accessible;
– well ventilated.
• Maintain sufficient clearance from table edges. The appliance might turn over
and fall down.
• Make sure that there are no obstacles nor objects in the installation location,
which might be affected by high temperatures of flames (e.g.: tree branches,
furniture, curtains or other easily flammable objects).

Never lean over the cooking place during ignition.
Risk of burns by hot elements or surfaces!
Never touch the hot surface of the appliance during operation and directly
afterwards. Wait for the appliance to cool down.
Use kitchen towels or protective gloves.
• Never place the appliance directly next to walls, furniture, or other objects made
of flammable materials. Assure a minimum lateral clearance of the appliance of
30 cm.
• If keeping the minimum clearance is not possible, and the appliance must be
installed directly next to regular or low walls, pieces of furniture or other
flammable objects, it is necessary to install protective materials (e.g., films made
of materials resistant to high temperatures), which sustain temperatures of at
least 65°C.
5.2 Operation

Before First Use
1. Before use, clean the appliance, observing instructions in section 'Cleaning'.
2. Before using the appliance, make sure that its condition is flawless and that it is
located in a well ventilated place.
3. Make sure that there are no objects near or under the appliance that may
restrict the amount of air necessary for burning.
4. To start the appliance up, perform the following instructions.

3. Insert the gas cartridge (7) into the gas
cartridge shaft (8), with the gas cartridge
neck recess (c) facing upwards so that
the valve nib (d) of the gas cooker fits

• Carefully insert the connection box with th e heating element at the back edge of th e appliance. A pin in bottom part of the c onnection box must enter a hole i n the main appliance. This way the connectio n box is properly mounted.
Inserting Gas Cartridge (Fig. 3, 4, 7, 8)
1. Set the rotary controller (17) to OFF position (16), and the gas cartridge locking
lever (20) to UNLOCK (14) position.
5. If a hissing sound is heard, the gas cartridge is correctly locked. Do not attempt
to ignite the burner. Correct the position of the gas cartridge by repeating step 3.
6. To end with, check for the tightness of the connection between the appliance
and the gas cartridge using suds (spray for detecting leakages).
7. Close the gas cartridge shaft cover (6).

1. Next, rotate the rotary controller (17) to
the leftmost ignition position (18) and
hold it for a couple of seconds in the
position until the ignition clicks. (Fig. 9)
2. If there is no ignition, repeat the
process.

1. Always remove the gas cartridge from the appliance after use.

3. Before removing the gas cartridge and prior to setting the gas cartridge locking
lever (20) to FUEL LOCK (13) position, check if the burner is out.
4. Open the gas cartridge shaft cover (6).
5. Then remove the gas cartridge (7) from the gas cartridge shaft (8).
6. Put the red protective cap and always store the gas cartridge independently
from the appliance, in a cool, dry and well ventilated place that children have no
access to.

4. Open the gas cartridge shaft cover (6) and remove the gas cartridge (8) from the
shaft.
5. Check gaskets before connecting the new gas cartridge. (Fig. 2)
6. Insert the a new gas cartridge, following instructions in section 'Inserting Gas
Cartridge'.
6 Cleaning and Maintenance
6.1Safety Instructions for Cleaning
• Before cleaning, leave the appliance to cool down completely.
• Do not clean the appliance with a pressurized water jet.
• Never clean the appliance with flammable or explosive liquids. When starting
the appliance up, vapours may cause fire or explosion.
• Do not use any sharp or pointed, nor metal implements (knife, fork, etc.). Sharp
or pointed objects may damage the appliance.
• For cleaning, do not use any scouring agents that contain solvents nor corrosive
cleaning agents. They may damage the surface.
• Do not use steel wool, wire brushes nor putty-knives, which may leave particles
of iron. These materials may get oxidized and leave the appliance with rust.

6.2 Cleaning
1. Clean the appliance thoroughly after each use.
2. Remove the gas cartridge from the shaft. Follow the instructions in section
'Replacing Gas Cartridge'.
3. Wipe the appliance with a soft, damp cloth.
4. Then dry the appliance with a soft cloth.
5. Put the red protective cap onto the gas cartridge. Always store the gas cartridge
independently from the appliance, in a cool, dry and well ventilated place that
children have no access to.
7 Possible Malfunctions

professional company or local authorities' unit, proper for utilisation matters.
Before disposing of the appliance make sure that the appliance cannot be restarted
to prevent any abuse and related risks, and then deliver it to the local collection
point.
