INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS
912 1kW Broadband Dipole
The Barrett 912 1 kW multi-wire broadband P/N BC91203 should only be mounted
in a horizontal configuration between two masts. In the horizontal configuration the
minimum distance between the two masts is 32 meters and the recommended
minimum mast height is 15 meters. Support masts may be either lattice towers as
illustrated, tubular telomasts or other support structures that may be available
locally. It is recommended that the halyards used to support the antenna be either
UV stabilised Dacronchord or wire rope and that pulleys should beof stainless steel
construction.
Install the antenna as illustrated below. A stainless steel earth wire is installed from
the balun, on the screw provided, to an earth stake installed vertically below the
balun, then onto an independent earth stake. This wire is also used as a catenary
wire to support thecoaxialcable feed.
