Drive Shaft Cover - Instructions

(2) 3/8" X-Thick Flat Washer Zinc Plated

INSTRUCTIONS:

1. Place the motorcycle on a suitable stand to safely support it while you perform the installation.

2. Remove forward two final-drive-member mounting bolts per Yamaha service manual procedures. Slide
forward edge of new Baron Drive Shaft Cover behind frame downtube and align Shaft Covers mounting
holes with final-drive-member mounting holes and replace mount bolts previously removed.

3. Torque bolts to Yamaha service manual specs. NOTE: If you will be using the stock Yamaha passenger
foot pegs, we recommend you install the supplied 8mm washers under the left-side foot peg bracket to
space this away from the Shaft Cover so as to avoid possible contact under full suspension load. We do not
recommend this foot peg be used as a boarding step" when mounting a passenger to the motorcycle. We
have found this action can lead to bending of the stock foot peg mounting bracket.
