Congratulations
on the purchase of your Barcus-Berry
Soundboard Transducer! With its line of sound board
transducers, Barcus-Berry has met a long-standing
need for pickups that can be mounted on virtually all
types and sizes of acoustic stringed instruments
equipped with a sound board. As a general rule, the
transducers should be mounted over freely vibrating
locations and not over “dead” structural braces.
MOUNTING THE BARCUS-BERRY DISQIS
(Internal Mount)
The Barcus-Berry DISQIS is recommended for installation inside classical guitars, steel string guitars, dulcimers and similar stringed instruments. The installation

inside installation may not be practical.
In such cases, we recommend the Barcus-Berry DISQOS (External Mount). The DISQIS comes with four (4)
pads of double-sided adhesive foam and Barcus-Berry’s
exclusive Fas-Jac Strap Button Mono Jack.
In order to determine the position you like for the location of the transducer, apply one of the four adhesive
pads to the brass face of the transducer
and mount this assembly in the position
