CHDD–268
6x8 inch Cockpit Head Down Display
The CHDD-268 is an advanced, 6x8 inch avionics displays that accepts both digital video inputs (DVI) and most of the currently available analog video inputs (Composite, RGB, STANAG,...). Truly innovative, the CHDD-268 also anticipates for the latest ARINC 817 and 818 digital video standards.
Equipped with sunlight-readable AMLCD and LED backlight technology, the CHDD-268 provides not only exceptionally high brightness and excellent contrast, which have become the hallmark of Barco’s avionics displays, but also a very wide viewing angle of 80° in all directions. It allows the same unit to be used in portrait as well as landscape mode.
The use of advanced electronics allows for a very compact footprint (maximum 4” depth) and low power consumption.
The innovative CHDD-268 unit is DO-178B and DO-254 certified up to level A. Because of this, the display can be used as Primary Flight Display (in combination with an external symbol generator) in almost any type of aircraft.
