INSTRUCTIONS FOR THE USER
- This appliance shall be installed only by authorised personnel and in accordance
with the manufacturer's installation instructions, local gas fitting regulations,
municipal building codes, electrical wiring regulations, AS 5601 - Gas Installations
and any other statutory regulations and follow the instructions given in the second
part of this instruction handbook.
- Using the gas burners
WARNING: Avoid contact with the pan supports when operating the control
knobs close to the pan supports.
- There is a diagram near each knob showing the relative burner.
Each control knob of the gas burners has the following symbols:
The burner should be turned on before putting the pan on the trivet.
- To turn a burner on, bring the lighted match up to the burner wanted, push the
corresponding knob right down and turn it counterclockwise to the maximum
position.
Check flame regularity and turn the knob round to the position wanted. If ignition
is difficult or the flame irregular, make sure the burner and cap are correctly
placed Fig. 1.
Fig. 1
To turn the flame out, turn the knob clockwise to the symbol. Before taking
the pans off the trivet, lower the flame or turn it out. If, when you’re using the
hob, the flame goes out accidentally the safety valve will stop the flow of gas after
about 40 seconds.

- Choosing the burners
For better use of the burners you should use pans with diameters that match the
size of the burners so as to have maximum efficiency using as little gas as
possible.
It is also essential when you are cooking to centre the pans on the burners and to
use their lids.

As soon as the liquid in the pan starts to boil we advise turning the flame down
just enough to keep the liquid boiling.
It is important to remember that all the working positions must be selected
between the maximum and minimum position, never between the maximum and
stop position.
Attention: This appliance must only be used for home cooking. When the
