Scru-Band Kit Installation Instructions
A. Before cutting band, insert roll band end through housing
front entrance (Figure 1). Pull band out through back
(Figure 2). Allow ample band length.
Insert band end into side entrance of housing (Figure 2)
forming an oversized diameter clamp. For best clamping
results on large diameter clamps, allow approximately 11/4” band length past back of housing (Figure 2). (Less
for smaller diameters).
Pull clamp diameter snug around object to be clamped.
Insert screw into front entrance, tighten and cut off band
(Figure 3).
B. On applications where it is desirable to minimize the
length of band between housing and cut-off end (Figure
3), pull clamp diameter snug around object, mark band
even with front entrance of housing, remove band and
housing from object, cut band in marked location. Reinsert cut band end through back of housing, insert screw
and tighten.
C. On applications where the end of object to be clamped
can’t be reached (such as utility poles), add housing to
the band as described above, wrap free end of band
around object and follow step “A” to finish application.
