For single or multiple use submerged suction outlet. 1. Do not try to locate suction outlets on seating areas or on the brackets for such seating areas. 2. When two or more suction fittings are used on a common suction line they shall be separated by a minimum of 3 ft. (91.44 cm), or 3. if any are located closer they shall be located on two different planes (i.e., one each on two separate vertical walls). Confirm with local and national codes and standards for proper installation. In the event of one suction outlet being completely blocked, the remaining suction outlets serving that system shall have a flow 4. rating capable of the full flow of the pump(s) for the specific suction system. Maximum flow rating with head loss curve: 124 GPM. 5. Acceptable connecting pipe size(s) - maximum 2.0.” 6. Mounting position: wall only. 7. Suction outlet part number 30173U applicable. 8. Service and winterizing instructions: 11. a. Service - remove screw. Remove cover. Place suction cover on wall fitting with blank portion, no holes pointed down. The keyway on the inside cover must match the notch on the wall fitting. Insert stainless steel screw in cover and tighten securely. Do not overtighten (as plastic will strip). b. Winterizing - Drain suction line thoroughly and blowout all remaining water. See spa manufacturer instructions for winterizing. WARNING: do not exceed the maximum allowable flow rate stated on the suction fitting. 12 . The suction fitting including fasteners should be observed for damage or tampering before each use of this facility. 13. Note: Missing, broken, or cracked suction fittings shall be replaced before using this facility. Loose suction fittings shall be reattached or replaced before using this facility. Read, then keep these instructions for future reference
Caution: Be aware that changing pump types and sizes can Increase flow rate. The maximum flow rate is 124 GPM.

Step One
Do not locate suction outlets on seating areas or on the brackets for such areas.
Step Two
3/8”
Cut a 2
hole into the spa wall for a flat gasket.
Step Three
Back face the backside of the wall as necessary so that it is parallel to the front side of the wall.
Step Six
Thread the adaptor with 1/2” socket onto the wall fitting. Ensure 1/2”socket is pointed upwards. Attach schedule 40 plumbing to the adaptor.
Step Seven
Glue barb into 1/2” socket on adapter.
Step Nine
Run 3/8” vinyl tubing above the highest possible water level, creating a Hartford loop, and attach securely.
Step Ten
Place suction cover on wall fitting with blank portion (no holes) pointed down.
Step Four
Place gasket on wall fitting.
Step Five
Place wall fitting through the hole.
Step Eight
A tubing resistant to kink or pinching shall be used (or provided) for use with the suction adaptor. Attach the provided tubing 3/8” to the barb on the adaptor fitting with glue and a clamp to secure.
Step Eleven
Insert stainless steel screws in cover and tighten securely. (Do not over-tighten plastic will strip).
