Any Balanced Audio Technology entry into the field of multi-channel
amplification must meet three goals: It must satisfy the demands of

Modular design
BAT audio amplifiers already power many of the world’s finest screening
rooms. But even when resources and space are available, using three to
five chassis for a home theater installation is less than elegant. Until now,
the compromises required to fit several channels of amplification into a
single chassis have always limited sound quality, even for high-end
components. Even the best of them require an expensive commitment to
buy the “fully loaded” configuration at the start. The VK-6200 is different.
Its modular design accommodates two to six discrete 200-watt amplifier
modules. It can be purchased in any configuration—additional channels
can be added later as needed, and installed in the home. This is intelligent
design, a BAT hallmark.
Multi-monoblock musicality
To conserve space and parts cost, all the channels in most home theater
amplifiers share a single power supply transformer. Not in the VK-6200.
Robust, stable power is indispensable to fine sound quality, so each of the
VK-6200’s modules bears its own dedicated power supply with a huge,
700VA toroidal transformer. Driven by this rock-solid power source, BAT’s
renowned zero-feedback, balanced topology delivers consistent and
captivating performance no matter how the VK-6200 is configured. The
sound is open and delicate, with effortless dynamic authority—pure BAT.
Delivering 200 watts per channel into 8 ohms, and 400 watts into 4-ohm
loads, this is a true reference product. At last: musical finesse and theatersized performance, combined without compromise.
Ultimate flexibility
In its two-channel configuration, the VK-6200 outperforms reference-level
audio amps costing three times as much. It provides an ideal solution
for power bi-amping, tri-amping, or multi-room audio systems where
exacting sound quality is required. Imagine: match a three-channel VK-6200
with our VK-500 or VK-150SE monoblocks to create a five channel home
theater—a practical upgrade path for current BAT owners. Apply the VK-6200
