Carefullyunpackthegriddleandinspectimmediatelyforshippingdamages.YourGriddlewasshippedina
cartondesignedtogivemaximumprotectioninnormalhandling.Itwasthoroughlyinspectedbeforeleavingthe
factoryandthecarrieracceptedandsignedforit.Fileanyclaimsforshippingdamageorirregularitieswiththecarrier.

andcomplywithapplicableANSIstandards.Makesuregaspipingiscleanandfreeofdirt,pipingcompoundand

RedindicatorlightsnexttothethermostatsareONwhentheburnersareinoperation.Whenthesettemperatureis
reached,thelightwillgoOFF.
E.LEVELINGADJUSTMENT
Allgriddlesareequippedwithadjustablelegstoprovideameansforproperlevelingduringinstallation.Thegriddlecan
beleveledbyturningthebottomofthelegsuntilthe desiredpositionisachieved.Afterleveling,themanifoldshould
thenbeconnectedtothegasline.

1.TurnoffallthermostatsorgascontrolsandmainShut-offvalveandwait5minutes.
2.TurnthemaingasvalvetoONpositionandlightstandingpilotsthroughtheholesinthefrontpanel.(FIG.

Thepilotassemblyislocatedabout10”intotheunitfromthefrontpanel.UseaBBQmatchoralighter
atleast10”long.Alternativelypilotsarealsoaccessiblefromthebottomoftheunitandthedistanceis
approximately6”.Insertamatchoralighterfromthebottomoftheunitwhilewatchingthroughthelighting
holeinthefrontpaneltomakesureallpilotslightcorrectly.
3.Repeattheabovestepforallstandingpilots.Thereshouldbeslightyellowtiponthepilotflame.Makesureall
thepilotsarelit.

withvinegarwhenthegriddleiscool,orclubsodawhilethegriddleisstillhot.Thiswillhelpmaintainaclean,
newlook.
Greasedrawermustbeemptiedasrequired.Donotallowgreasetooverflow.
Usemildsoapordetergenttocleanchassisandstainlesssteelparts.

1.Burnerportsmustbethoroughlycleaned.Venturimustbefreefromgreaseandlint.
2.Allplaceswhereoil,greaseorfoodcanaccumulatemustbekeptcleanallthetime.
3.Pilotlightmustbekeptcleanandadjustedattheproperflameheighttoassureconstantignitionandto
preventfireflash-outscausedbydelayedignition.
4.Appliancefluehastobekeptcleanandfreeofanyobstructiontoensureunrestrictedflowofcombustion
productsfromtheunit.
5.Carelessness,abusivehandling,oralteringequipmentcanshortenthelifeoftheequipmentandjeopardize
thelimitedwarrantyofferedbyBaker'sPride.
