LUBRICATING THE BLADE
You should lubricate the blade with BabylissPro lubricating oil provided in your kit. Turn the trimmer to "I-ON" position and hold it so the blade is pointed downward. Spread one drop of oil across the blade, then turn the unit to "O-OFF" position and wipe away the excess oil with a soft cloth. After cutting wet hair, clean the blade and apply a small drop of BabylissPro lubricating oil.
Be careful not to use too much oil and don’t oil your trimmer more than necessary, as this could damage the motor (never attempt to oil the motor bearing, as it is permanently lubricated). After oiling the blade, return the unit to the charging base. Keep oil out of reach of children.
BLADE CARE
Because the blade set is precision-made for a very special use, it should always be handled with care. Each time you finish using the trimmer, take the cleaning brush provided and brush away any loose hair and debris. Replace the blade guard onto the blade. Then store the unit to protect the blade until next use.
Be careful especially when changing or adjusting the blade set. When you have your trimmer serviced, be sure that the blade set is sharpened or replaced at the same time.
REMOVAL/REPLACEMENT OF BLADE SET
To remove blade set from your trimmer, make sure that the switch is in the "0-OFF" position and unplug trimmer from electrical outlet. Remove the blade set by placing thumb against the smaller cutter and pushing forward, releasing the cutter from the trimmer housing. Replace with new cutting system and reverse the removal procedure, only this time place your thumb on the large cutter and snap it into place.
HOW TO USE COMB ATTACHMENTS
1. To use the comb attachments, always turn the appliance to "O-OFF" position.
2. Slide the comb attachment onto the front of the trimmer blade and snap over the back of the blade.
3. To remove, push up the comb attachment at the back of the blade and remove the comb.
4. Two comb attachments: 1/8" (3 mm) and 1/4" (6 mm) are available for this trimmer.
Confirm the voltage (100-240 V) available at each overseas location before using this trimmer. For connection to the Class 2 Power Supply, model CA01M outlet adaptor (included) should be used to plug into the power socket with proper configuration.
USER MAINTENANCE INSTRUCTIONS
MAINTENANCE OF THE BLADE
Always apply oil to the blade before, during and after use. This will ensure maximum cutting performance. Hold this trimmer away from your body in a downward position and apply oil on the front and sides of the blade. Wipe excess oil off with a soft dry cloth.
Any other servicing should be performed by an authorized service representative, since this appliance has no other user serviceable parts. This product is for professional use.
VERY IMPORTANT: The blade must be cleaned and oiled before, during and after each use with the provided cleaning brush and lubricating oil for proper functioning.
