• Do not use the unit if it has fallen or if it appears to be damaged.
• Do not leave the unit unattended when it is plugged in or switched on.
• Unplug the unit immediately if you have problems when using it.
• Do not use any accessories other than those recommended by BaByliss.
• Unplug the unit after each use and before cleaning it.
• Avoid any contact between the unit’s hot surfaces and your skin, in particular, your ears, eyes, face and neck.
• This unit is not intended for use by people (including children) with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities, or by persons who lack experience or knowledge, unless they are supervised or have been given instructions beforehand on the use of the unit by a person responsible for their safety. Children should be supervised to make sure they do not treat the unit like a toy.
• Allow the unit to cool before storing.
• If this appliance has been failure or damage, do not attempt to repair the appliance. Return the appliance to an authorized service centre for examination and repair.
• This appliance does not have spare part for repairing. Contact an authorized service centre for assistance.
• To prevent damage to the cord, do not wrap it around the unit and ensure it is stored without twisting or folding it.

• Do not discard your products with your household waste.
• Use the return and collection systems available in your country. Some materials can in this way be recycled or recovered.
WIRING INSTRUCTIONS
The wires in the mains lead are colored in accordance with the following code:
BLUE = NEUTRAL BROWN = LIVE
As the colors of the wire in the mains lead of this appliance may not correspond with the color markings identifying the terminals on your plug proceed as follows:
• The wire which is colored BLUE must be connected to the terminal which is marked with the letter N.
• The wire which is colored BROWN must be connected to the terminal which is marked with the letter L.
• With this appliance, if a 13 amp plug is used a 5 amp
fuse should be tted. If any other type of plug is used a 5 amp fuse must be tted either in the plug
or at the distribution board.

PRODUCT FEATURES

USE
• Plug in the heating brush and select the desired temperature using the temperature selector.
As a rule, we recommend using a lower temperature
for ne, bleached, and/or damaged hair, and a higher temperature for curly, thick, and/or difcult-to-style hair. The rst time you use it, we recommend using
the lowest temperature, whatever your hair type. During subsequent uses, you can then increase the temperature setting if necessary (see table below):

•The indicator light corresponding to the temperature
level selected ashes until the temperature is
reached.
• Use the heating brush on dry hair.
• Untangle hair rst, using a comb.
• Take up a section of hair.
• Position the heating brush under the section of hair, near the roots. Use the other hand to pull the section taut to ensure that the brush bristles penetrate deep into the hair (FIG. 1).
• Slide the heating brush along the hair to the tips, while keeping it taut using the other hand (FIG. 2).
• Once you have reached the tips, release the section of hair and end by rotating the handle to give the section movement (FIG. 3).
• Continue by placing the heating brush on the top of the section of hair. Always keep the hair taut using one hand and slide the brush from the roots to the
tips with the other. (FIG. 4-5-6)
• Repeat if necessary.
• Let the hair cool down before combing.
• After use, switch off and unplug the appliance. Allow the appliance to cool on the insulating mat before storing.
Notes:
• When using the unit for the rst time, you might
notice a little smoke and a distinct odour: this is common and will disappear by the next use.
• Each time you use the appliance, you may see some steam. Do not be concerned, this could be because

of evaporation of the natural oils of the hair, residual
hair products (leave-in hair products, hairspray,
etc.), or excess moisture evaporating from your hair.
• A heat protection spray can be used to provide optimal protection of the hair.
• It is quite normal to hear a slight noise, similar to a crackle: this is the characteristic noise of the ion generator.
AUTOMATIC SHUT OFF If the appliance is left switched on for more than 1 hour, it will automatically shut off. MAINTENANCE
• Unplug the appliance and allow to cool completely.
• Clean the appliance thoroughly using a soft, damp cloth without soap to remove all trace of hair styling products and thereby ensure the maintenance of optimal quality of the heating parts of the appliance.
SAFETY PRECAUTIONS
WARNING: the polyethylene bags over the product or its packaging may be dangerous. Keep these bags out of the reach of babies and children. Never use them in cribs, children’s beds, pushchairs or
playpens. The thin lm may cling to the nose and
mouth and prevent breathing. A bag is not a toy.
WARNING: do not use over or near washbasins, bathtubs, showers or other containers with water. Store the unit in a dry place.
• If you are using the unit in a bathroom, unplug it
after you have nished using it. Using the unit close
to a source of water can, in fact, be dangerous, even if the unit is switched off. To ensure additional protection, have installed in your bathroom a residual current device (RCD) with a nominal trip
current no higher than 30 mA. Ask your electrical tter for advice.
• Never immerse the unit in water or any other liquid.
• If the power cord is damaged, it must be replaced by
the manufacturer, its after-sales service or similarly qualied person to avoid a hazard.
