UK Only: This appliance must not be used in the bathroom. If using the appliance in the bathroom, unplug after use as the proximity of water can be dangerous even if the appliance is switched off. Take care that the air vents do not become blocked when the appliance is in use. Ensure the rear filter is clear of hair and other debris before use (refer to Cleaning & Maintenance section for further information).
This appliance is equipped with a safety thermostat. In the event of overheating, the appliance will stop automatically. Should this happen, switch the appliance off, unplug and allow to cool for 10 minutes. Ensure the rear filter is clear of hair and other debris (refer to Cleaning & Maintenance section for further
information). Plug the appliance into the mains and switch on. If the appliance continues to overheat, discontinue use immediately, switch the appliance off and unplug. Contact the Conair Customer Care Line (refer to “UK After Sales Service” section for further information).
Do not place the appliance on any surface whilst in operation.
Take care to avoid the hot surfaces of the appliance coming into direct contact with the skin, in particular the eyes, ears, face and neck.
Careful adult supervision is required when this appliance is used on or near children. Do not use on very young children.
This appliance should not be used by adults whose reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities, or whose lack of experience and knowledge, might cause a hazard, unless they have been correctly instructed to understand the safe use and hazards involved and are adequately supervised.
Allow the appliance to cool before storing away.
After use, do not coil the lead around the
appliance as this may cause damage. Instead coil loosely by the side of the appliance.

INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE
• Plug the dryer into a suitable mains supply.
• Ensure hair is towelled dry and combed through to remove tangles.
• There are 3 heat (I II III) & 2 speed settings (0 I II).
• Use the high heat and speed settings for initial drying and the lower heat and speed settings to finish drying and for styling.
• Use the cool shot button on warm hair to “set” a curl or wave.
• For additional control when styling, attach the concentrator nozzle and using the lower heat and speed settings, direct the airflow along the surface of the hair to be dried.
• After use, switch off and unplug the appliance. Allow to cool before storing away.
CARE OF YOUR DRYER
• Do not use the dryer at a stretch from the power point. Stretching the connection between the lead and the dryer can be dangerous.
• Always keep the rear of the dryer away from your hair during use to prevent hair ingress.
• Always unplug after use. Smooth out the lead to remove kinks and prevent damage.
• Do not wrap the lead around the dryer, instead coil it loosely by the side.
• Make sure the dryer is used on the correct voltage.

CLEANING & MAINTENANCE Cleaning the filter
To keep your hairdryer in the best possible condition and maintain optimum performance, the rear filter should be cleaned on a regular basis.
• Ensure the appliance is switched off, unplugged and cool.
• To remove the filter, simply turn it gently then lift away from the dryer.
• Using a soft brush, clean any hair and other debris from the filter.
• Replace the rear filter before using the dryer again.
UK WIRING INSTRUCTIONS
The wires in the mains lead are coloured in accordance with the following code:
• BLUE = NEUTRAL
• BROWN = LIVE
As the colours of the wire in the mains lead of this appliance may not correspond with the colour marking identifying the terminals on your plug, proceed as follows:
The wire which is coloured BLUE must be connected to the terminal which is marked with the letter N. The wire which is coloured BROWN must be connected to the terminal which is marked with the letter L. Neither the BLUE nor BROWN wires should be connected to the terminal which is marked with the letter E or the symbol.
This appliance is supplied fitted with a BS1363 mains plug and a BS1362 13A fuse. If this plug is removed from the appliance please ensure it is disposed of safely as a disconnected plug is dangerous if reconnected to the mains. If any other type of plug is used, a 13A fuse must be fitted.
