Do not leave the appliance unattended when switched on or plugged in.
Ensure the appliance is only ever placed on a flat, level heatproof surface. Always use the heat mat supplied with this appliance.
During use do not place this appliance on any heat sensitive surface, even when using the heat mat provided.
Take care to avoid the hot surfaces of the appliance coming into direct contact with the skin, in particular the eyes, ears, face and neck.
This appliance should not be used by adults whose reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities, or whose lack of experience and knowledge, might cause a hazard, unless they
have been correctly instructed to understand the safe use and hazards involved and are adequately supervised.
After use, switch off and unplug the appliance. Immediately wrap it in the heat mat provided and allow to fully cool down. Continue to keep it out of the reach of children as it will remain hot for several minutes.
Do not coil the lead around the appliance as this may cause damage. Instead coil loosely by the side of the appliance.
This appliance complies with the requirements of Directives 2004/108/EC (Electromagnetic Compatibility) and 2006/95/EC (Electrical Safety of Domestic Appliances).
WARNING! Keep out of the reach of children at all times.
This appliance reaches high temperatures and can take time to cool down, even after it has been switched off. For further heat protection, use the heat protection wrap provided by wrapping it around the appliance after use. Always ensure the appliance has cooled down completely before storing away.
INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE
• Plug the straightener into a suitable mains socket and slide the on/ off switch to the ‘I’ position to switch on. The ‘on’ indicator light will illuminate.
• During use do not place this appliance on any heat sensitive surface, even when using the heat mat provided.
• Ensure hair is dry and combed through.
• Divide hair into sections and starting with the bottom layer, take a separate piece of hair from the section.
• Place the section of hair between the straightening plates, close to the roots.
• Hold the hair firmly between the straightening plates and slide down the length of hair, from root to tip.
• Once all the hair within the bottom section has been straightened, continue with the next section.
• Continue to straighten each section of hair, until you reach the top of the head and all the hair is straight.
• Allow the hair to cool before combing through.
• After use, slide the on/off switch to the ‘0’ position to switch off and unplug the appliance.
• Wrap the appliance with the heat protection mat and secure with the self-grip tab. Ensure the appliance has cooled down completely before storing away.

• This pouch is designed for cosmetic use only. It is not designed for storing the straightener. Any attempt to do so may damage the product.
CLEANING & MAINTENANCE
The appliance may require cleaning due to a build up of residue from hair products.
• Ensure the appliance is switched off, unplugged and cool.
• Using a damp cloth and mild detergent or soap, wipe the appliance.
• Ensure the appliance has dried thoroughly before re-using.
UK WIRING INSTRUCTIONS
The wires in the mains lead are coloured in accordance with the following code:
• BLUE = NEUTRAL
• BROWN = LIVE
As the colours of the wire in the mains lead of this appliance may not correspond with the colour marking identifying the terminals on your plug, proceed as follows:
The wire which is coloured BLUE must be connected to the terminal which is marked with the letter N. The wire which is coloured BROWN must be connected to the terminal which is marked with the letter L.
Neither the BLUE nor BROWN wires should be connected to the terminal which is marked with the letter E or the symbol.
This appliance is supplied fitted with a BS1363 mains plug and a BS1362 3A fuse. If this plug is removed from the appliance please ensure it is disposed of safely as a disconnected plug is dangerous if reconnected to the mains. If any other type of plug is used, a 3A fuse must be fitted.
SAFE DISPOSAL

Instead it should be handed over to an appropriate collection point for the recycling of electrical and electronic equipment. By ensuring this product is disposed of correctly, you will help prevent potential negative consequences for the environment and human health, which could otherwise be caused by inappropriate waste handling of this product. This appliance is guaranteed for consumer use for 3 years. Please keep your receipt as proof of purchase to validate the guarantee. This guarantee covers defects under normal use from date of purchase and ceases to be valid in the event of alteration or repair by unauthorised persons. If the appliance does not perform satisfactorily due to defects in materials or manufacture, it will be repaired or replaced through the Conair UK After Sales Service. Conair reserve the right to amend terms and specifications without prior notice. This guarantee in no way affects your statutory rights.
