1. Start by pulling the straps into their fully extended position. Then put the straps on. Place the lumbar support in the lumbar region with the clips for the size adjustment buckle pointing down.
For use with an infant
2. On the front piece, wiggle the size adjustment buckle up to the highest position for infants 21-23.5” (53-60 cm) in length.
3. Fasten the front piece to the straps by attaching clips for the size adjustment buckle to the size adjustment buckle on the front piece.
6
4. First adjust the straps for lumbar support by pullling them downwards and forwards at a slight angle. These are the straps with a straight edge.
It is important to adjust the straps for
lumbar support rst to ensure that the
lumbar support is in the correct position for your back.
5. Adjust the straps with a pointed edge. Pull the straps downwards/
forwards at a slight angle until the
baby carrier ts snugly to your body and all settings feel comfortable.
6. Starting on one side – slide the side latch all the way into the side latch groove on the strap (red to red, blue to blue) until you hear a click.
Angle the side latch some, and it will easily
slide into the side latch groove.

7. Slide your infant into the Baby Carrier Active on the open side. Hold your infant closely until the baby carrier is fully attached. Make sure the infant’s legs are straddling the seat and that the arm is through the armhole. Then fasten the other color-coded side latch to the straps (see point 6 above).
8. Hold your thumb behind the head support knob on the strap, and attach the head support buckle above your baby's shoulders. You will hear a click sound. Adjust the size of the head support by pulling the adjustable head support straps. Always make sure there is enough room around your baby’s face to allow free passage of air.
8
10. Make a nal adjustment by pulling forward on all straps, one at a time, while lifting, until the infant is close and high upon your chest. You should be able to look down and kiss your baby’s head.
9
9. Attach the leg strap to the leg strap
button (both sides!). Leg straps must be used for infants between 8 and 11 pounds.
English
1. Repeat step 1 (page 6).
2. Referring to the size adjustment label, wiggle the size adjustment buckle down to the proper place, based on your baby’s length.
3. Repeat step 3, 4, 5 and 6 (page 6-7).
4. Slide your baby into the Baby Carrier Active on the open side, facing forward.
5. Repeat step 7 (page 8).
6. Fold down the head support and attach the head support buckles to the head support knobs, above baby's shoulders on both sides. The head support buckles will be reversed, compared to when used with a baby facing inwards.
7. The arms of the child must be through the armholes at all times. Do not place baby's arms above folded head support.
For use with an older baby
When your baby is able to hold its head and shoulders upright, he or she may enjoy facing forward.
