I hereby certify the ( 9702 - 9703 ), manually operated, brass steam stops as manufactured by A.Y. McDonald Mfg. Co. contain materials per ASTM B-584 Copper Alloy Number 84400 commonly known as 81-3-7-9 cast brass.

* Copper 78.0 - 82.00 %
Tin 2.3 - 3.50 % Lead 6.0 - 8.00 % Zinc 7.0 - 10.00 %
* Nickel - 1.00 %
Iron - 0.40 % Phosphorus - 0.02 %
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Tensile Strength 29,000 PSI Minimum Yield Strength 13,000 PSI Minimum
Elongation in 2 in. 18 % Minimum
The inlet and outlet of the valves are threaded per ANSI/ASME B1.20.1, i.e., inside iron pipe threads. The valves are designed and rated for use with steam only and at working pressures of 125 PSI and a maximum temperature of 250 degrees Fahrenheit. Each valve is tested at a minimum of 125 PSIG using air under water.
