ⅡⅡⅡⅡ Correct use method

Before using this product，please make sure that you have first

read this manual， use it in the proper method. In order to work best you should also follow the instructions of the warning labels .

■■■■ Before using the machine

● Before using ， please read the user’s manual carefully ,and

understand the caution rules completely .

The blades are very sharp ,if operated wrongly it is very dangerous. Never use this hedge trimmer when

under the influence of alcohol, when suffering from exhaustion or lack of sleep ,when suffering from drowsiness as a result of having taken medicine or at any time when the possibility exists that your judgment might be impaired . Children under 16 years, are not allowed to use the machine .

● Because the fuel produces dangerous carbon monoxide，please

don’t use it indoors, in tunnels and other areas of poor ventilation .

● Never use your hedge-trimmer under circumstances

like those described below.

When the ground is slippery or when other conditions exist which might make it not possible to maintain a steady posture whilst using.

2. At night，at times of heavy fog ,or at any other times when your

field of vision might be limited and it would be difficult to gain a clear view of the area.

3. During rain storms，during lightening storms ,at times of strong or

gale –force winds or at any other times when weather conditions might make it unsafe to use this product .

● When using this product for the first time，before beginning actual

work ,you should practice in a wide ,light place .

● Lack of sleep，tiredness or physical exhaustion results in lower

attention spans ,and this in turn can lead to accidents and injury , limit the amount of time which the hedge-trimmer is to be used continuously to somewhere around thirty to forty minutes ,and have a rest time at least ten to twenty minutes . Also try to keep the total amount of work performed in a single day to a reasonable amount to prevent becoming overtired.

● Be sure to keep this manual handy so that you may refer to it later

whenever any questions arise.

● Always be sure to keep this manual while selling，lending ,or

otherwise transferring the ownership of the product .

■■■■ Working gear and clothing

When using your hedge-trimmer, you should wear proper clothing

proper for outside operation, and protective equipment as follows

⑴Helmet ⑵protection goggles or facial protection ⑶thick work gloves ⑷non-slip-sole work boots ⑸ear protectors

follows

⑴attached tools and files ⑵properly prepared fuel ⑶steel-brush for cleaning blade

● Never use your hedge-trimmer when wearing short trousers, with

loose shirt cuffs, when wearing sandals, or when barefoot.

■■■■ Warning considering handling of fuel

The engine of this product is designed to run on mixed fuel which contains highly flammable petroleum. You should never store

cans of fuel or refill the tank in any place where there is a boiler，stove ,wood fire ,electrical sparks, welding sparks or any other source of heat or fire which might

ignite the fuel.

● Smoking while operating the hedge-trimmer or refilling its fuel

tank is extremely dangerous. Never operate like that.

● When refilling the tank always turn off the engine first and take a

careful look around to make sure that there are no sparks or open flames anywhere nearby before refueling.

● If any fuel spillage occurs during refueling, use a dry rag to wipe

up spills before attempting to start the engine.

● After refueling, screw the fuel cap back tightly onto the fuel tank

and then carry the hedge-trimmer to a spot three meters or more away from the refueling area.

■■■■Things to check before using your hedge-trimmer

Before beginning work, look around carefully to

get a feel for the shape of the land, or hedge to be trimmed, and whether or not there is any obstacle which might get in the way while working, and remove any obstacle which can be cleared away.

● The area within a perimeter of fifteen meters of the person using

the hedge-trimmer should be considered a hazardous area into which no one should enter while the hedge-trimmer is in use. When

work is to be performed simultaneously by two or more persons， always check the presence and location of others so as to maintain a safe distance between each person sufficient to ensure safety .

● Before starting, please inspect the machine，make sure that the fuel

tank , blades ,and machine are in good condition . Be especially carefully to check that there is nothing wrong with the blades or with the joints by which the blades are attached to the hedge-trimmer.

● When the blades wear seriously or the clutch mechanism has worn

out, stop immediately and attend to the repairs.

● Make sure that the handles and protective covers are in good

condition.

● While starting the engine make sure of the safety of your surroundings.

● The machine has a centrifugal clutch; the blades will not move

when idle. Only when the engine speed is up to a certain level will the blades begin to move.

Please don’t put the throttle into the highest speed when starting.

■■■■ otes of the operation

● Keep your hands tight on the handles, and keep

the correct operating position.

● When the blade is be cleaned, stop quickly, restart

it after cleaning.

● Do not touch the spark plug or wire in an attempt

to stop the engine.

Whilst operating or stopping the machine, never touch the muffler,

plug and other metal parts (these parts will up to a high temperature)，to prevent injury .

■■■■ Warning for maintenance

● Please don’t make any changes to the machine, otherwise it will

cause damage to the machine.

● While removing the blades, Please wear gloves and other proper

equipment.

● Please maintain the equipment regularly, refer to the manual.

● While lubricating the blades , adding fuel or grease , please use

high quality products.

It is very dangerous to change the machine yourself, never do that .

ⅤⅤⅤⅤ Operation of engine

■■■■ Fuel

DAGER

● The fuel is easily ignited, resulting in an accident,

also if the refueling is ignited this will result in an accident.

● While mixing the fuel, it must be keep away from any source of spark, smoking not allowed.

● Do not mix the fuel inside a building

● Don’t put the machine or the fuel storage tank near

the spark.

IMPORTAT

● Using unmixed fuel (pure petroleum) will

result in engine damage. So must make sure that the fuel is right when adding fuel.

● Fuel will become stale if stored for a long time

due to degradation, the fixed fuel should used up within thirty days.

● Always use clean fuel that has no water

contamination, water can cause blockages within the fuel system and cause corrosion.

● Never use oil for four stroke engines or water

cooled two stroke engines, it can cause spark plug fouling, exhaust port blocking or piston ring sticking.

■■■■ How to mix fuel

Pay attention to agitation.

·Add suitable oil to the petroleum according to volume, the ratio is

25:1.

·Put some of the gasoline into a clean ,approved fuel container.

·Pour in all of the oil and agitate well.

Agitating the fuel/oil

mixture is important to the life of the engine. The use of an incorrect fuel/oil mixture will shorten the engine life considerably, sometimes damaging the engine beyond further repair.

Adding fuel/oil

● Choose a wide outside place to add fuel/oil, not

smoking, and keep away from sources of sparks.

● If need to add fuel/oil while working, you should stop the engine until reasonably cooled.

● Tighten the fuel tank lid.

● If any fuel spills during replenishment, please wipe

up before you start the engine again.

1. Keep the machine when adding fuel/oil in the even place.

2. Loosen the tank lid，eliminate the pressure difference between the

outside and inside.

3. Wipe up the tank lid，add the fuel/oil to eighty

percent.

4. After finishing adding fuel/oil，tighten the tank lid ,make sure that there is no leakage.

The starting way of engine

Uses the fingers pressing the primer button until you observe the fuel returning to the tank.

IMPORTAT

When refueling, do not fill beyond eighty percent of the tank capacity, if you add too much, the fuel will leak from the tank, and possibly result in an accident.

DAGER

● After adding fuel/oil, before starting the engine， remove the machine three meters away to start.

●Don’t start the engine indoors or in poor ventilation to

avoid the poisonous of carbon monoxide.

When there is some fuel remaining in the tank， when the engine is still hot, if you wish to start

it again ,it is no need to operate the primer button.

1. Put the choke lever on the carburetor to the closed position.

2. Put the machine onto even ground, at first pull the recoil handle slowly,

when you feel some resistance，pull the recoil handle quickly .

3. After starting the engine，return the choke lever to the opened position .

4. Start the engine for one to two minutes for warming.

If the fuel is too much ， which

wont allow the engine to start , please remove the spark plug to dry, then start again.

■■■■ To stop the engine

1. Release the throttle，run on low speed to allow the engine to cool.

2. SL700C: put the stop lever in “stop” place.

SLP600C: put the stop lever in“○” place.

■■■■ The operation method of engine

CAUTIO

● Before operating the throttle and handle, please remove the lock.

● After starting the engine, return to the throttle handle,

make sure the blade is operating，if not stop the engine and make sure carburetor and throttle whether is in good condition .

● Before starting the machine, make sure that the fuel tank cap is not loose and that there is no fuel leakage.

● Place the machine onto even ground, there

could be an

accident when the blade is too near the ground, also don’t start with a single hand.

The use of rear handle（（（（only SLP600C））））

IMPORTANT

During the using, if the blade has stopped，please operate as follows：

● The branches is too thick, please choose branches below 8mm.

● If the blade cutting is worsening : the blade maybe worn，the gap

between the blades is too big decreasing the cutting ability.

○ Never put the blades near the body. ○ Clean the branches off the blades, and make sure

that you stop the machine.

○ While using the machine, should wear the correct

clothing, safety equipment and strong gloves.

○ While the machine is not used, make sure that the

blade is cover is installed.

While cutting branches, in order to be comfortable for the user，

the double blade hedge-trimmer handle can be swivel through ninety degrees to the left or right. Proceed as follows:

1. Free the handle by pressing the locking lever，twist the handle to

the desired way.

2. When the handle is the desired position，let go of the handle

locking lever.

3．While the handle bracket has become fixed you can begin working.

■■■■Operation

1. While trimming, you should go forward along the hedge , please do not go backwards.

2. Make sure the machine is in its normal environment， away from any stone work, plastic, wire or large branches.

3. Never use this machine for branches above 15mm thickness.

CAUTIO

Don’t use for trimming when the locking lever is pulled.

■■■■ Air cleaner

After operating for twenty-five hours, please remove the cleaner outside cover，then clean the inner dirt. When the filter net is dirty， please add warm water, clean and dry it ,re assemble it .

A dirty cleaner will reduce the power，if there is no cleaner or damage , do not start the machine,

otherwise the engine will be damaged quickly.

■■■■ Fuel cleaner

After operating for 25 hours, take the filter from the fuel tank for cleaning off dirt, if it is very dirty it should be replaced.

A clogged filter will reduce the engine speed,

the speed will not be stable. Change the filter promptly.

■■■■ Spark plug

Spark plug is easily have carbon deposit, after operating for twenty-five hours, remove it, and clean the electrodes with a steel wire brush. The suitable electrode clearance of the spark plug is

0.6～0.7mm.

■■■■ Gear case

After operating for twenty hours, you need to add grease to the gear

case .Please use a grease gun on the nipple provided.

■■■■ Blade

Every time working for 1～2 hours, you should add grease to the

blade.

To sharpen the blade

1. Start the engine, keep the blade with low speed, move the blade for 2mm, and stop the engine.

2. To sharpen the blade use a suitable small flat

file or dressing stone and address the exposed blade edge.

3. Start the engine again，stagger the blade for 2mm, then stop it . Address the newly exposed blades as before.

4. Repeat as required.

5. Start the engine, align the blades and address the top of the blades.

■■■■ Muffler

After operating for fifty hours, please remove the muffler, clear the inner carbon deposit with screw driver, at the same time clean the carbon of the outlet pipe. Fasten every screw securely.

ⅦⅦⅦⅦ Instructions for long storage

1. While clean the machine, inspect every part whether it is damaged or loose, if found, repair it before next use.

2. Extract fuel from the tank and run off the engine until it stops naturally.

3. Remove the spark plug and put in two stroke oil in the engine. Pull the starting ropes two to three times, replace the plug and stop it at the compression position. Make sure the stop switch is in the off position.

4. Apply anti-rust oil to any exposed metal parts such as the throttle wire . Put the cover on the blade and keep the machine indoors to avoid it becoming damp.

IMPORTANT

● Long storage of the machine incorrectly may result in damage to the engine (shortage of power).

● Do not tighten the tank cap too much, otherwise the sealing ring will be damaged.
