How it all started...
the history of the Akita Amp.
Designed by some of the best sound engineers in the music industry, it took nearly three years
to rene the sound and style of the Akita Series ampliers.
You can easily appreciate the rich, warm, vintage tone of these ampliers. With Accutronics
reverb, premium tubes in the pre-amp and power amp, and Alphatone speakers, the Akita
Series have all the classic features of vintage amps with contemporary components and great
options. Available with a birch plywood veneer cabinet or a blonde tolex cabinet, there’s a model
with the right style and power to t your audio environment.
Akita ampliers provide both classic American and British tones. The clean channel has a
sound reminiscent of the most favored American ampliers. For rock enthusiasts, this channel
will break up very nicely when turned up. You can really hear the complex harmonic sound
structure that comes from the classic circuit.
The second channel, or overdrive channel, is essentially the same circuit, but cascades a couple
of gain stages in the pre-amp much like everyone’s favorite British ampliers of the 60’s and
70’s. With the gain set low and the volume set high, this channel can produce pleasing crunch
tones. Turn up the gain to peel the paint in the practice space. If you use effect pedals in your
setup, Akita ampliers work well with the pedals running through the front end, as well as the
effects loop.
The Akita Series will give you a new perspective on all-tube power. In a live, studio or practice
setting, we hope you enjoy endless amounts of playing with these ampliers.
