VLANSaretypicallyusedonlargenetworkstocreatemultiplebroadcastdomains,buttheycanalsobeusedtosegregatenetwork
trafc.Forexample,videotrafccanbepartofoneVLAN,andothernetworktrafccanbepartofanother.

1.GotoAdvanced>VLANs>Conguration.

2.UnderGlobalVLANConguration,entertheVLANsyouwanttocreatetotheAllowedAccessVLANseld.Forexample,if
youenter,1,10-13,200,300,thefollowingVLANIDswillbecreated:1,10,1 1,12,13,200and300.

3.ToassignacreatedVLANIDtoagivenportunderPortVLANConguration,entertheIDtothePortVLANeld.

Createredundantlinksbetweenswitchesfornetworkredundancy

3.Changethedefaultprolenameasneeded.

4.TospecifywhenyouwantPoEtoswitchon,selecthours(HH)andminutes(MM)intheStartTimedrop-downmenu.

3.ClickApply.

CheckconnectionstatusviaPoEautochecking

YoucanusePoEautocheckingifyouwanttoperiodicallychecktheconnectionstatusbetweenyourswitchandthePoEenabled
networkdeviceconnectedtoit.If,duringautochecking,thenetworkdevicedoesnotrespondtotheswitch,theswitchwill
automaticallyrestartthePoEportthenetworkdeviceisconnectedto.

Toenableautocheckingviathetopologyview:

1.GotoBasic>TopologyView.

2.ToopentheDashboardconsoleofyourswitch,clicktheswitchicon.

3.ClickPoECong.

4.InthePoEAutoCheckingdrop-downmenu,selectEnable.

Toconguretheautocheckingparameters:

1.GotoAdvanced>PoE>Conguration>AutoChecking.

2.InthePingIPAddresseld,entertheIPaddressofthedevicethatisconnectedtotheportyouwanttoassignauto
checkingfor.
