The remote control and power supply unit are not included in scope of delivery of SKT 2-01. They
are available optionally or integrated in the basic unit of SKS x-xx.
2.2Description
The SKT 2-01 can either be operated in a head ends basic unit SKS x-xx or in stand alone mode. The
Remux twin transmodular magazines are 8PSK/QPSK converters that convert all programs modulated
according to the DVB-S standard in COFDM modulated DVB-T signals. Each magazine has two digital
SAT-ZF inputs and two HF outputs. The twin magazines include two ducts working independently from
each other. A duct comprises a digital tuner, the digital signal processing and an output modulator.
Duct 1

3.1Installation and connection in a headend base unit
If you want to operate the SKT 2-01 on a head ends basic unit SKS x-xx, plug the twin module into the
output collection field 1 and fasten it by screws. Each free slot may be used. The power supply unit SKZ
5-00 or SKZ 6-00 supplies the module via the output connection field.
For detailed information on the headend base unit, refer to whose operating instructions.
Before inserting or changing a module, pull the mains plug of the head ends basic unit from the socket!
To avoid dangerous overvoltages, (attention: risk of fire/death), the base plate must be grounded
according to EN 50083-1, EN 60728-11:2010.

are exceeded, the channels of a transponder
must be divided. During the search, some
receivers skip channels with duplicated TSIds.
A new TSId can be manually assigned to the
divided programs by means of the TSId output
function. As-delivered, the TSId output is set to
Auto, i.e., the receiving transponder passes on
the TSId 1 to 1.
If the device is adjusted manually, 1 is
assigned to the left channel strip and 2 is
assigned to the right channel strip.

Since the data rate changes permanently
depending on the content of the image, the
rate should not exceed 80%. Otherwise, image
interferences such as mosaic pictures may
appear.
If the displayed data rate exceeds 80%, there
are different possibilities to change it:
•Change to a channel with a bandwidth of 8
MHz if a 7 MHz channel was selected previously.
•Increase the modulation rate to 64 QAM
and set the forward error correction to 7/8.
•Reduce the number of selected programs
in the channel list.
