Important note: Axalto is not responsible for damage due to installation or use that are not in accordance with the instructions given in this manual.
MagIC X1000 DECT Presentation
§ Your MagIC X1000 DECT is a portable point of sales terminal able to read both Magnetic Stripe Cards and Smart Cards.
§ The MagIC X1000 DECT consists of a hand-held unit and a docking stati on. The link between the hand-held unit and the docking station is provided by a radio-link for data transmission and 2 electrical contacts to recharge the battery.
§ The hand -held unit houses a printer, a keyboard, a display, a magnetic card reader, a smart card reader and SAM readers.
§ A docking station provides the connection to phone line and delivers the power to recharge the battery when the handheld is placed on it.
Safety recommendations prior to connections
§ Only use the power supply provided with the terminal.
Note: Connecting the terminal to any other external voltage source is strongly not recommended.
To prevent risk of electric shock:
§ do not open the front or back of the terminal,
§ do not expose the terminal to rain or moisture,
§ call a qualified technician for servicing (the terminal does
not contain any user serviceable part).
§ This terminal is not equipped with an On/Off switch: if you do not use the terminal and if the terminal is not powered, it will switch off after a few minutes.
§ If the termin al is dropped accidentally, disconnect the terminal and call the maintenance centre for assistance.
