AVTECH’s Voice Modem connects Device ManageR’s host

system to an analog phone line. With Device ManageR’s Dial
Out Plugin Bundle, this modem allows you to dial a phone
directly and play alert text or dial tones, or to send an alert text
message through a TAP service.

LED Appearance Means

OH O Not in use / not connected

Lit solid (green) In use / connected

Data O No data transmission

Blinking (green) Data transmission

Voice Modem w/USB (MOD-VCE-2)

1. Connect the Voice Modem’s USB cable to a USB port on the Device ManageR’s host
system.

2. Congure your modem on Device ManageR’s host system. See Congure Your Voice

Modem in this document for instructions.

3. Connect one end of the included RJ-11 cable to the RJ-11 port on the Voice Modem and
the other end to your analog phone line.
