Getting Started
Install the supplied 2 x AAA batteries into the rear
compartment (negative end first)
Place acoustic guitar close to microphone or connect input
from guitar via jack or supplied contact pickup
If required, sound can be output to an earphone by
connecting to the 3.5mm jack on top of the TCH300
For speaker or earphone volume adjustment, rotate the
volume edge control on the right-hand side of the TCH300
In tuner mode, the LCD display shows a virtual dial and the
A4 reference frequency – needle to centre indicates “in-tune”
In chord mode, the display shows root note and chord type.
The chord box shows strings in standard tuning named at the
bottom. A number at the top indicates the fret at which the
chord is applied or a line at the top indicates the top nut.
“X” denotes a string that is not played
1. ON/OFF/Sound
Press ON/OFF/Sound for 2 seconds to turn the unit on or off.
In tuning or chord modes, the unit will shut down
automatically after 5 minutes of inactivity
A short press of this button initiates sound through the
speaker or earphone jack for pitch or chord notes
2. Tuner/Backlight
Press Tuner/Backlight for 2 seconds to turn the backlight off
to save battery or on for use in the dark
A short press of this button toggles through Chromatic, Guitar
and Bass tuning modes, defaulting to Auto-tuning.
3. Note/Chord Root
A short press of Note/Chord Root button toggles through
selected tuning notes in tuning mode
Pressing this button for 2 seconds enters chord mode and
further short presses change the root note
4. Flat/Type 1
In tuner mode, this button applies natural, flat or double-flat
In chord mode, this button changes the main type of chord
5. Pitch/Type 2 (up/down)
In tuner mode, these buttons raise or lower the A4 frequency
In chord mode, these buttons change the secondary chord type
