Multiple problems faced by your IT organization can be managed by the physical separation
of your users from their computer/target device. Problems include physical and data security,
workplace environments, asset management, licensing and auditing, remote access, reduced

The LongView® LV1000 extender supports physical separation requirements up to 1000 feet
via any UTP cable without compromising the user’s experience. The simple transmitter and
receiver pair design makes installation straightforward and effortless.

Target devices are typically multiplatform computers or a KVM switch infrastructure. The user
station may be a desktop, KVM switching infrastructure console or a video/audio display unit.

LongView LV1000 extender is part of the Avocent
solutions that includes analog and digital products
supporting extension over copper, fi ber and
wireless media.

The LV1000 extender is a point-to-point KVM, audio and serial device
extender up to 1000 feet. The system is a transmitter/receiver design
with an interconnecting UTP cable. The skew compensation feature
supports any combination of UTP cable in the extension path as well
as patch panel interfaces. If the connection path is altered in any way
during operation, the LV1000 will automatically adjust without any
manual adjustment or user intervention.
