AVG-FO200
The AVG-FO200 is a professional 4K HDMI / Audio Fiber Optic Extender which includes a transmitter and receiver. Both of them have a HDMI port, an AUDIO port and a fiber port. Transmit HDMI / DVI and analog audio over long distances via fiber optic cable (single-mode fiber or multimode fiber).

SAFETY OPERATION GUIDE
In order to guarantee the reliable operation of the equipment and safety of the user, please abide by the following procedures during installation, use and maintenance:
1. The system must be earthed properly. Please do not use two blade plugs and ensure the AC power supply ranges from 100v to 240v and from 50Hz to 60Hz.
2. Do not install the units in an environment where they will be exposed to extreme hot or cold temperatures.
3. These units will generate heat during operation, please ensure that you allow adequate ventilation to ensure reliable operation.
4. Please disconnect the units from mains power if they will be left unused for a long time.
5. Please DO NOT try to open the casing of the equipment, DO NOT attempt to repair the unit. Opening the unit will void the warranty. There are high voltage components in the unit and attempting to repair the unit could result in serious injury.
6. Do not allow the unit to come into contact with any liquid as that could result in personal injury and product failure.

1. Introduction
1.1. Introduction to the AVG-FO200
The AVG-FO200 is a professional 4K HDMI / Audio Fiber Optic Extender which includes a transmitter and receiver. Both of them have a HDMI port, an AUDIO port and a fiber port. Transmit HDMI / DVI and analog audio over long distances via fiber optic cable (single-mode fiber or multimode fiber).
The Transmitter has powerful EDID management via EDID DIP switches. You also have control over using embedded HDMI audio or an external audio source via the audio DIP switches.

HDMI input port, DVI compatible. Connect a HDMI or DVI source device such as a Blu-ray player.
AUDIO IN
Stereo audio input port, connect with an external audio source device if required.
DC 5V
Connect the supplied DC 5V/1A power supply.

4. System Connection
4.1. System Applications
Reliable performance for long distance transmission and high definition makes the AVG-FO200 ideal for use in commercial and education installations, digital signage, large screen displays, conference systems, television broadcast banking and security institutions etc.
4.2. Usage Precautions
1. The system should be installed in a clean environment with temperature and
humidity maintained to within equipment specifications.
2. All of the power switches, plugs, sockets and power cords should be insulated and safe.
3. All devices should be connected before power is turned on.

4.4. Connection Procedure
Step 1. Connect a HDMI/DVI source (e.g. DVD) to HDMI IN port of the Transmitter
with a HDMI cable.
Step 2. Connect an audio source (e.g. PC) to AUDIO IN port of the Transmitter with
an audio cable.
Step 3. Connect OPTICAL OUT port of the Transmitter to OPTICAL IN port of the
Receiver with a fiber optic cable.
Step 4. Connect a HDMI display (e.g. HDTV) to HDMI OUT port of the Receiver with
a HDMI cable.
Step 5. Connect an audio amplifier to AUDIO OUT port of the Receiver.
Step 6. Connect a DC 5V power supply to the Transmitter and the Receiver.
Note: Please connect the Transmitter with the Receiver via single-mode fiber or OM3
multimode fiber for reliable transmission.
4.5. EDID Management
The Transmitter has a 4-pin EDID DIP switch, “1” stands for “On”, “0” stands for “Off”. There are 10 types of EDID data in total, 8 types for HDMI and 2 for DVI. Change the switches to change EDID data referring to the following table:

Note: The factory default state is 1111, the Transmitter will pass through the signal, the input
and output devices will process the signal automatically.

4.6. Audio Selection
The Transmitter has a 2-pin AUDIO DIP switch for selecting the audio input between the embedded HDMI audio and the external audio. Up stands for OFF, down stands for ON. Change 1 switch up for selecting the embedded HDMI audio and down to select the external input audio in the AUDIO IN port.
Note: The 2 switch is for future use.
4.7. Firmware Update via USB
For future updates, the firmware of the AVG-FO200 can be upgraded via a USB cable.
1) Connect the FIRMWARE port of the AVG-FO200 to a PC.
2) Download the latest upgrade file (.bin file) to your PC.
3) Open the Updata software, the icon looks like the below icon.

4) When the software has been opened, you will see the interface as below. Please
press the button and select the firmware file, then press the button. It is now ready to update. Press the Updata button to download.
Configuration interface
When it is finished, a window will open showing the message Update success.
Notes:
1) The COM port number on your PC must be set to 1 to 9.

7. Troubleshooting & Maintenance
Problem
Causes
Solutions
Colour loss
The connecting cables may not be connected properly.
Check whether the cables are connected properly and working.
No output image
No signal at the input / output end
Check with another source/display to see if there is any signal.
Failed or loose connection
Make sure the connection is good
Power Indicator remains off when powered on
Failed or lose power connection
Check whether the cable is connected securely
EDID management does not work
The HDMI cable/optical fiber is broken
Change for another HDMI cable/optical fiber which are in good working condition.
Audio selection does not work
The Transmitter is damaged
Send it to authorised dealer for inspection
If your problem persists after following the above troubleshooting steps, seek further help from your authorised dealer.
