1 Zu dieser Anleitung

sachgerecht zu montieren, zu bedienen und einfache Störungen selbst zu
beseitigen.

Qualifikation des Personals
Montage, Demontage, Inbetriebnahme und Bedienung erfordern grundlegende
pneumatische Kenntnisse sowie Kenntnisse der zugehörigen Fachbegriffe.
Montage, Demontage, Inbetriebnahme und Bedienung dürfen daher nur von einer
Pneumatikfachkraft oder von einer unterwiesenen Person unter der Leitung und
Aufsicht einer Fachkraft durchgeführt werden.
Eine Fachkraft ist, wer aufgrund seiner fachlichen Ausbildung, seiner Kenntnisse
und Erfahrungen sowie seiner Kenntnisse der einschlägigen Bestimmungen die ihm
übertragenen Arbeiten beurteilen, mögliche Gefahren erkennen und geeignete
Sicherheitsmaßnahmen treffen kann. Die Fachkraft muss die einschlägigen
fachspezifischen Regeln einhalten.
Das müssen Sie beachten
Allgemeine Sicherheitshinweise
O Beachten Sie die Vorschriften zur Unfallverhütung und zum Umweltschutz im
Verwenderland und am Arbeitsplatz.
O Sie dürfen den EBS-PI grundsätzlich nicht verändern oder umbauen.
O Verwenden Sie den EBS-PI ausschließlich in dem Leistungsbereich, der in den
technischen Daten angegeben ist.
O Belasten Sie den EBS-PI unter keinen Umständen mechanisch.
O Berücksichtigen Sie immer die länderspezifischen Vorschriften.
Vor der Montage
O Schalten Sie alle relevanten Anlagenteile drucklos, bevor Sie den EBS-PI
montieren.
Bei der Montage
O Stellen Sie sicher, dass alle Anschlüsse des EBS-PI korrekt verbunden sind und
alle Kunststoffrohre fest sitzen.
Während des Betriebs
O Verwenden Sie als Medium ausschließlich Druckluft (ISO 8573-1), Klasse 7-4-4.
O Belasten Sie den EBS-PI nicht mechanisch.
Bei der Entsorgung
Entsorgen Sie den EBS-PI nach den Bestimmungen des Verwenderlandes.
3 Einsatzbereiche
Der EBS-PI erzeugt ein Vakuum und mit Hilfe von Sauggreifern können Lasten
angesaugt werden.
Der EBS-PI steht in folgender Ausführung zur Verfügung:

2 Zu Ihrer Sicherheit
Der EBS-PI wurde entsprechend dem heutigen Stand der Technik und den
anerkannten sicherheitstechnischen Regeln hergestellt. Trotzdem besteht die
Gefahr von Personen- und Sachschäden, wenn Sie die folgenden allgemeinen
Sicherheitshinweise und die Warnhinweise vor Handlungsanweisungen in dieser
Anleitung nicht beachten.
O Lesen Sie daher diese Anleitung gründlich und vollständig, bevor Sie mit dem
Ejektor EBS-PI arbeiten.
O Bewahren Sie die Anleitung so auf, dass Sie jederzeit für alle Benutzer
zugänglich ist.
O Geben Sie den EBS-PI an Dritte stets zusammen mit dieser Betriebsanleitung
weiter.
Bestimmungsgemäßer Gebrauch
Der EBS-PI dient dazu, die Energie der Druckluft in Vakuum umzuwandeln.
O Setzen Sie den EBS-PI ausschließlich im industriellen Bereich ein.
O Halten Sie die in den technischen Daten genannten Leistungsgrenzen ein.
Der bestimmungsgemäße Gebrauch schließt auch ein, dass Sie diese Anleitung und
insbesondere das Kapitel „Zu Ihrer Sicherheit“ gelesen und verstanden haben.

Funktionsweise
Der EBS-PI wird über den Anschluss 1 mit Druckluft versorgt. Die durchströmende
Druckluft erzeugt dabei am Anschluss 2 ein Vakuum und wird über die
Abluftöffnungen an die Umgebung abgeblasen.
6 Montage
ACHTUNG
Nicht sachgerechte Verwendung
Durch gewaltsames Einwirken kann der EBS-PI beschädigt werden.
O Wirken Sie nicht gewaltsam auf den EBS-PI ein.
O Verwenden Sie passendes Werkzeug.
O Befolgen Sie die Montagehinweise.

EBS-PI anschließen
VORSICHT
Anlage steht im Betrieb unter Druck
Das Arbeiten an der Anlage unter Druck kann zu Verletzungen und
Beschädigungen führen.
O Entlüften Sie vor dem Arbeiten an der Anlage alle relevanten Anlagenteile.
VORSICHT
Nicht geeignetes Steckzubehör
Steckverbindungen mit nicht geeignetem Zubehör können sich unter Druck lösen.
Dies kann zu Verletzungen und Beschädigungen führen.
O Verwenden Sie nur Steckzubehör aus Kunststoff.
O Achten Sie darauf, dass das Kunststoffrohr oder Steckzubehör fest im
Steckanschluss steckt.
Verwenden Sie kurze Kunststoffrohre und kleine Volumina zwischen EBS-PI
und Sauggreifer.
10 Reinigung und Pflege
ACHTUNG
Lösemittel und aggressive Reinigungsmittel
Lösemittel und aggressive Reinigungsmittel können den EBS-PI beschädigen.
O Verwenden Sie zur Reinigung ausschließlich Wasser und ggf. ein mildes
Reinigungsmittel.
So reinigen Sie den EBS-PI:
1. Schalten Sie alle relevanten Anlagenteile spannungsfrei und drucklos.
2. Reinigen Sie den EBS-PI mit einem leicht feuchten Tuch.
11 Entsorgung
Entsorgen Sie den EBS-PI nach den Bestimmungen des Verwenderlandes.

13 Technische Daten
Alle Vakuumangaben beziehen sich auf einen Umgebungsdruck von
1000 mbar und eine Umgebungstemperatur von 20 °C.
O Stecken Sie die Kunststoffrohre (1) fest in die Steckanschlüsse (2):
Anschluss 1: Druckluft; Anschluss 2: Vakuum
7 Inbetriebnahme
1. Stellen Sie vor Inbetriebnahme sicher, dass alle Anschlüsse des EBS-PI korrekt
verbunden sind und alle Kunststoffrohre fest sitzen.
2. Beaufschlagen Sie Anschluss 1 mit Druckluft.
3. Überprüfen Sie, ob das notwendige Vakuum erreicht worden ist
(z. B. mit einem Manometer).
8 Betrieb
ACHTUNG
Mechanische Belastung
Zu hohe mechanische Belastungen (z. B. durch Darauftreten) können den EBS-PI
beschädigen oder zerstören.
O Belasten Sie den EBS-PI nicht mechanisch.
Verschließen Sie nicht die Abluftöffnungen am EBS-PI. Bei verschlossenen
Abluftöffnungen entsteht kein Vakuum.
9 Wartung
Der EBS-PI ist wartungsfrei.
Bei technischen Problemen wenden Sie sich bitte an die Serviceabteilung
von AVENTICS.

1 About this document
These instructions contain important information on the safe and appropriate
assembly and operation of the EBS-PI ejector and how to remedy simple
malfunctions yourself.
O Read these instructions completely, especially chapter 2 “For your safety” before
working with the EBS-PI ejector.

The EBS-PI may not be used to exhaust liquids, gases, or granulates.
It is considered improper use when the EBS-PI
W is used for any application not named in these instructions,

Personnel qualifications
Assembly, disassembly, commissioning, and operation require basic pneumatic
knowledge, as well as knowledge of the appropriate technical terms. Assembly,
disassembly, commissioning, and operation may therefore only be carried out by
qualified pneumatic personnel or an instructed person under the direction and
supervision of qualified personnel.
Qualified personnel are those who can recognize possible hazards and institute the
appropriate safety measures due to their professional training, knowledge, and
experience as well as their understanding of the relevant conditions pertaining to the
work to be done. Qualified personnel must observe the rules relevant to the subject
area.

General safety instructions
O Observe the regulations for accident prevention and environmental protection for
the country where the device is used and at the workplace.
O Do not change or modify the EBS-PI.
O Only use the EBS-PI within the performance range provided in the technical data.
O Do not place any mechanical loads on the EBS-PI under any circumstances.
O Always comply with country-specific regulations.
Before assembly
O Make sure that the relevant system parts are not under pressure before you
assemble the EBS-PI.
During assembly
O Make sure that all the connections on the EBS-PI are properly connected and all
the plastic tubing is firmly fitted.
During operation
O Only use compressed air (ISO 8573-1), class 7-4-4 as the medium.
O Do not place any mechanical loads on the EBS-PI.
Disposal
Dispose of the EBS-PI in accordance with the applicable national regulations.

Indicates a hazardous situation which, if not avoided, could result in minor or
moderate injuries.

Indicates damage to property: The product or its environment may be damaged.

2 For your safety
The EBS-PI has been manufactured according to the accepted rules of safety and
current technology. There is, however, still a danger of personal injury or damage to
equipment if the following general safety instructions and the warnings before the
steps contained in these instructions are not complied with.
O Read these instructions completely before working with the EBS-PI.
O Keep these instructions in a location where they are accessible to all users at all
times.
O Always include these instructions when you pass the EBS-PI on to third parties.
Intended improper use
The EBS-PI is used to convert the energy of the compressed air into a vacuum.
O The EBS-PI is only intended for industrial applications.
O Observe the performance limits listed in the technical data.
Intended use includes having read and understood these instructions, especially the
chapter “For your safety”.
3 Applications
The EBS-PI generates a vacuum. Loads can then be picked up using suction grippers.

Function
The EBS-PI is supplied with compressed air via connection 1. The compressed air
flowing through generates a vacuum at connection 2 and is blown off to the outside
via exhaust openings.
6 Assembly
NOTICE
Improper use
The EBS-PI can be damaged by forceful impacts.
O Do not forcefully impact the EBS-PI.
O Use the appropriate tools.
O Follow the assembly instructions.

Connecting the EBS-PI
CAUTION
System is operating under pressure
Working on the system when under pressure could lead to injuries and damage!
O Depressurize all relevant system parts before working on the system.
CAUTION
Unsuitable plug accessories
Plug connections with unsuitable accessories may loosen when under pressure.
This could lead to injuries and damage.
O Only use plastic plug accessories.
O Make sure that the plastic tubing or plug accessories are firmly inserted in the
push-in fitting.
10 Cleaning and servicing
NOTICE
Solvents and aggressive cleaning agents
Solvents and aggressive cleaning agents could damage the EBS-PI.
O Only use water for cleaning and, if necessary, a mild detergent.
How to clean the EBS-PI:
1. Make sure that all relevant system parts are not under voltage or pressure.
2. Clean the EBS-PI using a slightly damp cloth.

Dispose of the EBS-PI in accordance with the applicable national regulations.

13 Technical data
Use short plastic tubing and small volumes between the EBS-PI and the
suction gripper.
O Firmly insert the plastic tubing (1) in the push-in fittings (2):
Connection 1: compressed air; connection 2: vacuum
7 Commissioning
1. Make sure before commissioning that all the connections on the EBS-PI are
properly connected and all the plastic tubing is firmly fitted.
2. Apply the compressed air to connection 1.
3. Check whether the necessary vacuum has been attained (e.g. with a pressure
gauge).
8 Operation
NOTICE
Mechanical loads
Too high mechanical loads (e.g. stepping on the device) could damage or destroy
the EBS-PI.
O Do not place any mechanical loads on the EBS-PI.
Do not close the exhaust openings on the EBS-PI. A vacuum will not be
generated if the exhaust openings are closed.
9 Maintenance
The EBS-PI is maintenance-free.
Please contact the service department at AVENTICS if you have any technical
problems.

Qualification du personnel
Le montage, le démontage, la mise en service et l’utilisation exigent des

termes techniques adéquats. Le montage, le démontage, la mise en service et
l’utilisation ne doivent donc être effectués que par du personnel spécialisé en
pneumatique ou par une personne instruite et sous la direction et la surveillance
d’une personne qualifiée.
Une personne spécialisée est capable de juger des travaux qui lui sont confiés, de
reconnaître d’éventuels dangers et de prendre les mesures de sécurité adéquates
grâce à sa formation spécialisée, ses connaissances et expériences, ainsi qu’à ses
connaissances des directives correspondantes. Une personne spécialisée doit
respecter les règles spécifiques correspondantes.
