Overview
The Advanced Gateway 2330 can be configured to provide a number of voice interfaces that allow connection to the PSTN as well as support of conventional TDM-based telephony devices.
The gateway can be configured with T1/E1 PRI, BRI, FXS and FXO interfaces providing flexible telephony connection for SCS users.
To provide access to the PSTN, the AG2330 supports the following „small modules‟:
Foreign Exchange Office (FXO) modules, which can also be configured
as Centralized Automatic Message Accounting (CAMA) trunks
FXS modules, which can also be configured as Direct Inward Dialing
(DID) trunks
T1 modules, configured for T1 Channel Associated Signaling (CAS)
or Integrated Services Digital Network (ISDN) Primary Rate Interface (PRI)
E1 modules, configured for E1 R2 or ISDN PRI
ISDN Basic Rate Interface (BRI) ST / U modules

Required Information
The following questions should be considered for the successful installation and configuration of the AG 2330:
Which line modules will be used with the gateway – FXO. T1 / E1, PRI,
BRI?
Will FXS modules be used to add analogue phone devices to the system? What is the Fully Qualified Domain Name of the SCS? What is the IP address of the SCS? Are SRV Records in use for DNS resolution?
o If not, the fully qualified domain name will be required. For example,
scsitel2.iteluk.com
o If SRV records are in use, only the domain name is required. For
example, iteluk.com
Will the gateway be assigned to a location, to restrict its access to specific
SCS users?
