Problem description
There have been several issues found with R2.8 Service Pack (SP) 1 and SP2 firmware releases with how the phone has been displaying name and numbers in missed or outgoing Call Log under certain call scenarios. Problems are as stated below:

Call Log issues with 46XX IP Telephones.
Phone numbers or partial phone numbers appearing in the name field.
A name having alphanumeric characters, being split up, by displaying the alpha characters from the name into the name field
and the numeric characters from the name into the number field.
A name having alphanumeric characters is being displayed as Unavailable in the name field.
A 10 digit phone number is being displayed with 9 digits, where the first digit of the area code is missing.
Garbled number appearing in name and number field on a bridged extension administered on EU 24.

Call Log issues have been resolved with a new Call Log solution implemented on IPT firmware. The fix is available on a R2.9 based patch from the following link:
