Problem description

4610SW phones may go off hook when the appropriate h andset cord is not used, causing the phone handset not to sit prop erly on the cradle when the phone is in the upright standing po sition. This will p ut the phon e off hook which might resu lt in no dial to ne after the phone is in this condition for a while.

Resolution

Verify and reverse the handset cord with the longer tail end strip plugging into the handset and the shorter end into the phone base or use comCode 700384829 with Flex part number: AVIH0 00053 24- 100 to ord er n ew handset co rd . Also ver ify th at the hook sw itch j ust beneath the cradle has the long end in place when the phone is sitting in an upright position.
