4600 SIP Telephones
Problem description
Starting in March 2007, Daylight Saving Time in the United States and Canada will begin on the second Sunday in March and end on
the first Sunday in November. This document explains how to ensure that the 4600 SIP telephone is ready for th e change.
Resolution
The following two lines must be included in the 46xxsettings.txt file, replacing any existing settings for these parameters that may
already be in the file:
SET DSTSTART "2SunMar2L"
SET DSTSTOP "1SunNov2L"
By changing these settings on these two lines within the 46xxsettings.txt file, Daylight Savings Time should:
start on the second Sunday in March at 2AM local time, and end on the first Sunday in November at 2AM local time.
The telephones must then be reset for the change to take effect.
Further information can be found in the 4600 Series IP Telephone LAN Administrator Guide, in the section on Setting the Date and
Time on SIP IP Telephones.
